I'have heard alot of comments on reddit about how this tablet isn't worth it and s8 would be much better. I can get S9FE+(256GB) for $325 after trading my S6Lite. I think its'a pretty good deal. And since i use it for taking notes most of the time and watching movies sometimes. S9FE+ would be more than enough. What do you think? By the way, Does Hz matter much when taking notes? I’d be in a similar predicament to you. Realistically it’s a toss up between the S8+ or S9Fe+. Us students definitely don’t have money flying around. I’d definitely be looking to keep the tablet for the 5 years of updates as well. I think if the S pen experience is smooth enough with the ram on the Fe+ and 90hz I’d think that’s our best bet. Yes in your case the S9FE+ is the way to go. Sure the latency is even shorter on the S8 with almost zero drag when taking notes, but trust me, the difference between the 2 as far notes taking user experience is negligible; in fact, the larger S9FE+ feels better because of the size, and that same size goes well with watching movies. Since you’re not looking for too raw performance, go S9FE+

Also, I mainly use it for taking notes but the S7 FE has a display usb c port and it has been very useful. So I would recommend you to try to get a refurbished Tab S8, you'll be much better for years to come and to me, that's a better investment.

@@varadkulkarni6303 So far, it has been smooth and there were no problems at all. I have the base model (6GB RAM, 128GB ROM with 5G) and I never encountered any problems for note-taking It's definitely better than my previous tablet (S6 Lite 2020, not the 2022 one) thanks to a 90hz display. I mainly use Samsung Notes. With regards to software for the S Pen, you will no problems there and is easy to understand. That being said, if you have big hands, you might find the S Pen a bit uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time. But if you have medium/small hands, you'll be fine (this is the case for all Samsung tablets with S Pen support). I can highly recommend the S9 FE because it's, imo, very good for note-taking without spending a fortune.
@@sebastiant.7032 True, that is a valid point. But that also depends on you phone's battery capacity. Mobile hotspot can drain your phone's battery pretty fast especially if you left it open for long periods of time, and in my case, my phone is a Z Flip 3, which does not have a good battery in the first place. Also, I also need another SiM for work-related things.
thanks for this video, i recently bought the s9fe and got the keypad for free, would you mind a video about the keypad where you cover the tech behind the keys, because they feel so amazing when typing (and maybe a teardown?)
I ordered the mint 256gb on Thursday from Best Buy, I scheduled for it to be delivered on Saturday because I’m off work that day, I’m ready for it, but it’s 5:04am, long wait lol.
Excellent in depth informative video - as always! Not quite sure about this one though! As nice as it is, my feeling is that this falls somewhere between the s9 and the upcoming a9 similar to the way the s6 lite did for the premium and budget models. Problem is that at $449 I think it’s just a little too expensive for that! I think a $349 price, like the s6 lite had, would have been much better and would make it much more accessible for most users. As it is - I think the premium power users will still get their s9 units and the budget consumers will still just buy the s9 and this will fall in between and probably not sell as much as either of those. Hopefully as time goes on this will go on sale and head down to that better $349 price we all love…. But until then, I think a lot of people will just hold off and wait until that happens!
Thanks for the review, Ivan. Excellent job as always. I gave my iPad to a friend and was looking for something to replace it with--glad to see I put my faith in the s9 FE then!
Hi. Thanks for an informative video. I am looking for a tab for browsing, streaming and some gaming...maybe the sims. Would you recommend this or the ipad 10th gen?
I just bought a tab s9 fe, and I'm loving my tablet. The s pen functionality and the multi control features are amazing. I have a Samsung phone and it's really cool how they can work together. I had an ipad mini before and this is definitely way better than ipad and much bigger. 😊
your videos and reviews are quite precise and educative. I'm a writer and a teacher so more into, browsing, reading and stuff... not a gamer or into much videos... so I think I will be going in for this device... pretty cool
I bought this tablet 10 days ago and there is no notification of pen while putting in charge and my pen has not been connected to device ,I don't know what to do and how to connect pen to device ....!
Yes I do. It’ll offer longer software support, better stylus user experience, top level ecosystem, the ability to expand the storage, robust build and so much more…
I'm a college student hoping to purchase a tablet for note-taking, games, e-mails, web surfing, and basically general use. Would you recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE over Xiaomi Pad 6?
I'm facing a decision between the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ as an engineering student. Both tablets are similarly priced in my country. I'm looking for a balance between a larger display for increased productivity and good performance. The 12-inch display of the Tab S9 fe + is appealing, but I'm concerned about its portability and whether there are notable differences in display quality compared to the Tab S8. The central question is whether a 12-inch display would be a practical advantage or a potential inconvenience for my daily use at the cost of performance.
I chose to upgrade my s6 lite to the s9 Fe . I got it for Christmas when they did the cyber Monday deals . I am obsessed with the s9. Fe a great choice for me. Thank you for your honest review I appreciate it so much. 😊
Thanks for good reviews. All good on S9 FE but cpu performance almost same as S7FE, 2 years old device. S9 FE May be not lagging today but I am concerning for 2 years later. Even device still be supported, but it may be laggy bcs of Exynos1380. What is your opinion for that?
I'm planning to do sofware development with the help of this device. Can't I use this tablet as the second screen for my tablet? For development it is very much easier when having two displays.
Thanks for the informative videos. I'm about to order a new tablet, struggling to make a choice. I am really wondering how the exynos chip will perform in 3 years. My wife has the s6 lite 2020 and i find it unusable, so slow after 3 years. How do you think it will perform in the future?
When comparing the 128GB versions of the S6 Lite and S9 FE, the price difference is not a huge jump to the S9 FE and gives you.. * Improved performance, Geekbench scores are 36% faster vs S6 Lite * IPS panel, 90 Hz refresh rate, slightly larger screen * Larger battery plus 45W fast charging * Improved selfie camera, important if you teleconference * Fingerprint sensor on the power button * Waterproof, peace of mind when using it near the pool, tub or sink
Is this a good tablet if i only want to use it for drawing? Kirta or other drawing program. What specs would be relevant for looking to buy a samsung tablet only for making art?
When you scribble with the S Pen on the tablet screen close to its black frame, preferably in the four corners of the screen, can you have good precision in your scribble? I ask because on mine, when I write very close to the frame, the writing is misaligned with the tip of the S Pen. In daily use this doesn't bother me, as it's very close to the edge, but I'm unsure whether this is a defect or not. If you or anyone reading this comment takes the test and responds to me, I would be very grateful! I'm Brazilian, my English is not good
Thanks for the detailed review. I am thinking to purchase my son this for his birthday. he enjoys games and streaming services along with homework. Would you recommend this for said requirements? you mentioned its great for students which checks one box off. I want him to use this for a few years to come.
S9FE+ (8gb) vs S7FE (4gb) (450$ vs 330$/ both WiFi only)? I only want one for drawing that too with SuperDisplay for Photohop on PC. The S7FE has usb 3.2 while they downgraded it to 2.0 in S9FE+, will it affect usability with SuperDisplay?
Correct, the Tab S9 FE & FE+ cannot output to an external display/monitor. Very strange and galling, but Samsung has its quirks (as do other OEMs 😩). I think a lot of users (or potential ones) would happily have sacrificed a less-useful feature (like water resistance) to have retained the USB 3.2 port.
I just bought the S9FE+ und for those who wonder if the screen is an actual downgrade: it looks gorgeous. I couldnt tell it apart from an actual OLED-Screen. I had chosen that FE-version since I only want to use it for work/studies. But I have to say that the price difference to the regular S9s is not big enough in my opinion. I might have as well chosen the regular ones for the 120 Hz Screen and for "just in case" (to play a game, edit a video or so).
Have not had the chance to work that much with larger pdfs for now since its holidays for me atm, so I might not give an answer that helps you. With the common like 150 pages scripts from my college I did not have any problems, and I have only tested the Samsung notes app so far. I am using a paper like (matt) protective foil, and writing is pretty nice, can not see any lag from stylus* and line on screen. I could see that lag on a Tab S6lite I tested in the shopping mall.@@HeadsUpTV *Edit: there is actually a little lag on input while taking notes or drawing if you move fast
@@thomasa.2572 Just a slight footnote -- a more direct/correct flagship comparison for the Tab S9 FE+ would be the Tab S9+ (or even Tab S8+, minus water resistance). The Tab S9 has an 11" display, whereas the Plus models have the same 12.4" display as your FE+.
@@sharkfintech5893 In terms of display size those are of course the correct comparison, but the technology is the same as in 11 inch S9FE; if the size matters most, probably those 2 other ones you mentioned are better
Hi Ivan ! I want to buy a tablet for games. I did not like the specs of tab A8 so I am between A9+ and S9 FE. I am fan of Samsung, so I do not want to go to Apple etc etc. Also, I noticed that A8 does not have 90Hz. I am note sure about the quality of panel between A9+ and S9 FE. Thank you !
Apparently the S9 FE and FE+ has USB-C 2.0 and this affects display capabilities on an external monitor. You aren't able to extend display via Dex as you would be able to do with even older model S phones or the S7 FE+ (not with a cable or wirelessly). This is a major let down for me. Does anyone know of a way to extend (not mirror) my display from my S9 FE+ to a monitor? This has been my only struggle with this series. The rest of my experience with the tab has been great and the display is great.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S9 f. E plus my question is when I log when I open up my tablet. I use the pen. How do I switch from the pen to the finger every time I log in? It's only the pen, never the finger. How do I switch from pen to the bigger? Thank you.
Hi Ivan, just wanted to know which display is better for reading books that is to say which display has less strain on the eyes - Dynamic Amoled 2X or LCD IPS TFT
Hello, great review. My needs are simple, I am simply looking for a device to play my mp3 music and mp4 movies. That is about it, and some basic web browsing. I am a little bit older, old school as well. I have a huge collection of cds and dvds, and I am converting them all to the above mentioned formats. All I want is something portable. My family have an older iPad, and we love it, but Apple seems so proprietary, it drives me nuts. The Galaxy S7 fe just went on sale here in Canada for $450 for Black Friday, regular $700. They also have the S9 fe, but as of now, no sale price. So $600 Canadian. What do you recommend?
Thanks for the videos, I have decided to buy the Tab S9 FE, but they have mentioned the Xiaomi Pad 6, what do you advise? I am a chemical engineering student and I plan to use it for notes, Additionally, I have an S21FE and I understand that the ecosystem issue would be better, I receive advice
Thankyou so much for the review, I also heard about the Xiaomi Pad 6 which is a competitor of Tab S9 FE. What do you recommend for a student who do wanna take notes and also enjoys pubg sometimes. Also you mentioned in the video that Samsung galaxy tab S9 FE is not for someone who is looking for the raw performance of Snapdragon chipset. Xiaomi Pad 6 is fitted with snapdragon chipset, a better refresh rate of 144 Hz, but the disadvantage is, it got wifi version only and also no memory card support. I believe Xiaomi Pad 6 will be able to give better gaming performance, but I not sure about the note taking and drawing capabilities. What is your opinion in Xiaomi Pad 6 note taking and drawing capabilities? Thanks a lot. Cheers!
Ive never had a tablet, but with the baby on the way I won't have space for my desktop anymore. I need a tablet that can play osrs, has an SD slot, can pay all my bills with a finger print sensor and has a good camera. Would this tablet do everything I need?
Hey i am a 16 year old a level student and i am interested in buying this tablet to take to school and take physics notes, do some math and maybe code a little on websites but i dont have a large budget, i think this is a great choice especially since ive been out of the tablet game since 2017, what do you think, also thanks for the great vid
I'm considering buying this. I don't mind the S Pen not being able to do air commands since I have S Pen Pro. I also don't mind it no being able to connect DeX via UBS connector since I have Z Fold 5. I would just use it for taking notes and sketching. Any insights?
hey do you maybe know, why i cant watch on my tab s9 fe on youtube 2160p ?? it doesnt have anything to do with my internet.. i can choose the option 2160p but its keep loading and with my old tablet s3 i can watch it without problem.. do you know maybe why is it like that ?
Looks good, nice review. I was wondering though what you think about the S9 FE's wifi performance especially in the wifi 6e 6ghz band. I have been seeing a lot of Internet complaints as to wifi problems. Though it could be they have an issue with their router and not the S9 FE. I am looking to upgrade my current tablet as it is a bit slow.
Great video man, new subscriber here. I just ordered one yesterday, supposedly it arrives Tuesday. One concern i now have is, someone said that usb-c doesn't output so you can't plug it into a larger screen and use Dex. Do u know if that's correct?
hello, would you recommend me buying S9 FE or lenovo Tab P11 (2nd)? Primary for notes and microsoft apps, so pen usage is importnant and it must be native and comfy taking notes and connection with microsoft
i'd like to use it as a second screen on my laptop, but unfortunatelly this tab doesn't have the video output and my laptop doesn't support miracast... what can i do? Is there any way to make it work with a Wired connection?
Would it be viable to play games Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail? I noticed my iPad Pro 4th gen warms up after a bit, but the S8+ does not, even though it's not as crisp as the iPad Pro display. My main uses are just only and note taking, in addition to like gaming.
I want it to edit photos in Lightroom, photoshop and do some short videos, but I may use heavy files... it won't be everyday , just when I don't want to use my computer, traveling, etc. Would it still be good for it? since I don't want to purchase a expensive one
Do you recommend xiaomi pad 6 or tab s9 fe as a portable replacement for laptop?? It is going to be used as entertainment and maybe a bit of excel and words
Neither one can replace a laptop; on one hand, the Tab S9FE will be the one to mimic a laptop the closest with Samsung Dex, if that’s what you mean in terms of user interface. But the Xiaomi is more powerful. So you have to choose either mimicking laptop in UI looks, or raw power
Excellent review. Very informative. I just purchased this tablet and just finished setting it up. However, does it support fast charging? Wireless charging? What's the deal with the charging cable, how do I connect it to the wall charger??
Thinking to get one for studying and laboratory work, but I am also a photographer (not profesional, but still :D). How does S9 FE or FE+ performe with adobe products (lightroom, photoshop)? And thanks for the good video!
Great video! I was looking to buy the tab S9 FE+ given that I pretty much just do media consumption and take some occational notes. However I do use my current (2019) tab s6 as a monitor for my work laptop with smart view. I was hoping this could replace my tab s6. I dont do any high end gaming (very rare cod mobile streaks). Would the tab S9 FE+ be a good buy or should I consider something else? I say the plus and not the regular size cause my tab s6 does feel a little small to use as a monitor when I travel.
@@petrichor259 oh I don't use USB with my tab s6 ATM I use smart View. With advanced settings you can set it up as a monitor I believe it's the same with S9 FE+

I wanted to buy something for note taking. Earlier i was considering to buy s9 fe but now i am confused between the s9 fe and a9+ because of the s pen i read people saying that s pen working slows down after 8 to 10 months. Should i buy a tablet with pencil attached orrr a9+ without pencil and i should buy pencil separately???
I had my s9 fe tablet since December 27th,23 so when in march 2024 it stop registering spen after doing so well for January and February whilst drawing with copper nib on a paper feel screen protector I wondered why the spen just stopped working .Anyways still happy with my tablet just sad i can't draw and waiting for Amazon to deliver my new note 10+ stylus to see if it will work on it with same nibs or nibs it comes with. (This is the same s-pen that came with the s9fe originally that is not writing on ethier galaxy device it Originally previously did). Also like the easy of writing in search bars with the new improvements to s9 spen so hopefully it gets fixed with a update 😢.

You can make Hotspot from Smartphone. You don t need 5g and you can save some cash in my opinion
Hi joe, if I buy WIFI model can I still use mobile networks other than 5G using separate mobile sim
Hi, good review. Thanks. Can you explain what's the difference between 5G and WiFi version.
thanks for this video, i recently bought the s9fe and got the keypad for free, would you mind a video about the keypad where you cover the tech behind the keys, because they feel so amazing when typing (and maybe a teardown?)
Thinking of getting the plus. Will see. Already spending too much for Christmas 😅
😅
Great job by the way for your vidéo buddy
I just bought a tab s9 fe, and I'm loving my tablet. The s pen functionality and the multi control features are amazing. I have a Samsung phone and it's really cool how they can work together. I had an ipad mini before and this is definitely way better than ipad and much bigger. 😊
your videos and reviews are quite precise and educative.
I'm a writer and a teacher so more into, browsing, reading and stuff... not a gamer or into much videos...
so I think I will be going in for this device... pretty cool
Nice choice
I bought this tablet 10 days ago and there is no notification of pen while putting in charge and my pen has not been connected to device ,I don't know what to do and how to connect pen to device ....!
It's not an active spen so, it won't connect with the device.
Nice review, i have from the dayout and it takes the place of my s6lite, i think is a big step up!!
Amazing video
Do you recomend this tablet over the xiaomi pad or oneplus pad for students?
+1
yes, the pen performance on Samsung Tablets is way better than the competition.
Yes I do. It’ll offer longer software support, better stylus user experience, top level ecosystem, the ability to expand the storage, robust build and so much more…
Okk thank you
Still love your videos man ❤
I appreciate you🙏🏾
I'm a college student hoping to purchase a tablet for note-taking, games, e-mails, web surfing, and basically general use. Would you recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE over Xiaomi Pad 6?
Did you get any solution?

Big help from you guys and thank you. Fantastic review. SUBSCRIBED! 👊🏼👍🏼🤘🏼
Tab s8 is better
Did you get the S8 on Amazon
You might as well get the s9 if you are going to get the s8
Just bought it today, thanks to your review ❤
I chose to upgrade my s6 lite to the s9 Fe . I got it for Christmas when they did the cyber Monday deals . I am obsessed with the s9. Fe a great choice for me. Thank you for your honest review I appreciate it so much. 😊
@M-Light-0 yes it's my Favorite Tablet right now
Great review, this or the fe+ sound like a perfect upgrade from my 2018 tab 8.0
Can you split the screen 3 or 4 ways, meaning having 3 or 4 apps open at the same time? Thank you in advance.
Great review thanks!
Just bought the 5G version of this tab. Thanks for this review! it helped a LOT!
Just realized. ZERO video output for over $500? NOPE. Cancelled the order immediately. Cheers
can this tablet support HDMI support?
Great! Review cleared up a lot of confusion, I had. Thanks
Hey man I like your hat. Where did you get it, I wanted get a couple for myselsef. By the way thanks for the tablet S9FE
Thanks for the informative videos. I'm about to order a new tablet, struggling to make a choice. I am really wondering how the exynos chip will perform in 3 years. My wife has the s6 lite 2020 and i find it unusable, so slow after 3 years. How do you think it will perform in the future?
did u buy it (asking after seven months)? Does it lag/shall i go for it? Am a student.
@@asifiqbal9522 yes, and then I returned it. It was not slow, but I did not like the screen.
When comparing the 128GB versions of the S6 Lite and S9 FE, the price difference is not a huge jump to the S9 FE and gives you..
* Improved performance, Geekbench scores are 36% faster vs S6 Lite
* IPS panel, 90 Hz refresh rate, slightly larger screen
* Larger battery plus 45W fast charging
* Improved selfie camera, important if you teleconference
* Fingerprint sensor on the power button
* Waterproof, peace of mind when using it near the pool, tub or sink
Is this a good tablet if i only want to use it for drawing? Kirta or other drawing program. What specs would be relevant for looking to buy a samsung tablet only for making art?
I honestly believe that the s8 on sale is a better value considering the processor alone
Does this tablet has the always on display function?
One question
Does the s9 fe include a flashlight??? It looks like it doesn't have one.
Hey man, this tablet can run yuzu smooth or nice at least? thank you since now
Will this play UHD 4k Dji drone footage?
How does the s pen charge on this tablet?
I agree with your other viewers, great review. Thank you.
Thank you, love your style sir!
Do you recommend it for a graphic designer?
I just bought the S9FE+ und for those who wonder if the screen is an actual downgrade: it looks gorgeous. I couldnt tell it apart from an actual OLED-Screen. I had chosen that FE-version since I only want to use it for work/studies. But I have to say that the price difference to the regular S9s is not big enough in my opinion. I might have as well chosen the regular ones for the 120 Hz Screen and for "just in case" (to play a game, edit a video or so).
Hows it for note taking? Any lag in opening PDF books?
Have not had the chance to work that much with larger pdfs for now since its holidays for me atm, so I might not give an answer that helps you. With the common like 150 pages scripts from my college I did not have any problems, and I have only tested the Samsung notes app so far. I am using a paper like (matt) protective foil, and writing is pretty nice, can not see any lag from stylus* and line on screen. I could see that lag on a Tab S6lite I tested in the shopping mall.@@HeadsUpTV
*Edit: there is actually a little lag on input while taking notes or drawing if you move fast
Thx for letting us know
Con la S9 normal si se puede extender pantalla?
@@jhojanoful yes S9 has the capabilities but not the S9 FE series
I have the Samsung Galaxy S9 f. E plus my question is when I log when I open up my tablet. I use the pen. How do I switch from the pen to the finger every time I log in? It's only the pen, never the finger. How do I switch from pen to the bigger? Thank you.
Forsure it's in the settings area under security.
Can this be used as a second monitor to Windows laptop?
What type of charger can we use 80 , 45 or 15 ...?
I am an online school student and I am on a tight budget I never had a tablet before and I am using the tablet for online classes and gaming
Cheers!
Went for a double deal... s24ultra 512gb with s9fe 128gb...super excited 🎉
Is there dual audio support?
Ive never had a tablet, but with the baby on the way I won't have space for my desktop anymore. I need a tablet that can play osrs, has an SD slot, can pay all my bills with a finger print sensor and has a good camera. Would this tablet do everything I need?
Hey i am a 16 year old a level student and i am interested in buying this tablet to take to school and take physics notes, do some math and maybe code a little on websites but i dont have a large budget, i think this is a great choice especially since ive been out of the tablet game since 2017, what do you think, also thanks for the great vid
I wanted to know about HDMI on the Projector does this S9fe tab work????
I only know about the S7fe .
Do you think it is good for students? I would like to make notes and i'm looking for an affordable tablet
Looks good, nice review. I was wondering though what you think about the S9 FE's wifi performance especially in the wifi 6e 6ghz band. I have been seeing a lot of Internet complaints as to wifi problems. Though it could be they have an issue with their router and not the S9 FE. I am looking to upgrade my current tablet as it is a bit slow.
hello I want to ask would you recommend for a student the TAB S9 or TAB S9 FE? Also, can you do a comparison video for both of them.
If budget is not a problem, go for the regular S9. If you are on a budget, the S9FE would do.
I will have the comparison video out soon
@@IvanKam11 yeay thank you 😁
Great video man, new subscriber here.

Which as the best display ? Xiomi pad 6 or tab Fe ?
Xiaomi pad 6
Does it have Microsoft office in it...
I need mainly to work in excel and power point...
I am planing to buy separate keyboard for it.
The tablet is fenomenal. Idk why such title.
i'd like to use it as a second screen on my laptop, but unfortunatelly this tab doesn't have the video output and my laptop doesn't support miracast... what can i do? Is there any way to make it work with a Wired connection?
S9 FE is definitely the better tablet I am gonna get one. Great review. U got a subscriber!
Can anybody tell how good is the s9 FE compared with the lenovo p12 Pro?
It is simless tab ...is it not its disadvantage ??
Do you recommend xiaomi pad 6 or tab s9 fe as a portable replacement for laptop??
It is going to be used as entertainment and maybe a bit of excel and words
Neither one can replace a laptop; on one hand, the Tab S9FE will be the one to mimic a laptop the closest with Samsung Dex, if that’s what you mean in terms of user interface. But the Xiaomi is more powerful. So you have to choose either mimicking laptop in UI looks, or raw power
Samsung Tab S9 fe plus or oneplus pad? Olease help me

I say the plus and not the regular size cause my tab s6 does feel a little small to use as a monitor when I travel.
sorry but s9 fe and fe+ have only usb 2.0 which means it wont work as external monitor

I guess s6fe is apt for me ....what do you suggest??
As a first timer, this is a fantastic choice for everything you said and it can definitely do some light editing. HOWEVER, if your video editing is going to be anywhere mid to heavy, so not buy this, go for the S8.
S9 or S9 FE? I am going to be doing some light video editing (although sometimes may range to mid), graphic design and drawing, browsing, Ultra gaming out of the question (FE 6GB RAM is 1661 saudi riyal or 442dollars) and S9 is 2,269 or 605 dollars
A9+ doesn't support pen.
Samsung tab s9 fe 128gb( students get this for £400 with the slim keyboard case) or iPad 9th gen 64gb with the Apple Pencil. I need something under £500. Im a first year student in engineering and I take a lot of notes, I need something for note taking and studying. What would you recommend
