    BSA really hated that pistol grip and drum mag. They spent the 1920s making the Thompson worse only to adopt it in standard configuration for WW2. England is the worst WW2 allied faction by a long shot, they never got anything right.

      Every time I picture England and WW2 the best I can think off is the fuckin Welrod pistol, because Jesus Christ that thing is ridiculous. Most likely have gotten someone killed trying to fiddle with it during an classified operation. Not even that, the thing is staight up just a weird unsuppressed pistol after 12 shots because that's how long the wipes within integral suppressor last.
      Everytime I want to discuss how stupid of a concept the Welrod were I kept getting bombarded with Barry age 63 telling me it's an assassination pistol, only meant to be fired once or twice, conceal carry (my ass),...just cut the crap, there is nothing wrong with an M1911A1 and a suppressor. England just want to be different for no reason at all. They had some ingenuity before WW2, but after that nothing they made actually fucking work, case and point: SA80.

      @@iHubJ232KSo is the Lee-Enfield No.4 also garbage? If so then why is it considered as a reliable bolt action rifle then?
      Or even the Bren is that also garbage too?

    • @iHubJ232K
      @iHubJ232K 2 дня назад +1

      @@andsoiderparound9909 My bad, should have really worded it as "after WW2 ended and some time after that".
      From 1980 onward, name me one succesful UK gun that is ON PAR with the M4/M16 that isn't from Accuracy International. Other than that, the UK small arms industry is laughably under-funded and under-developed.
      How reliable the Lee-Enfield or the Bren were doesn't make the SA80 being an embarrassing failure of a home-grown platform any less true.
      Sure the Brit used to have ingenuity, so where the fuck did that go? Did they magically forget how to make good guns?
