  • Sichuan Chengdu Dujiangyan Irrigation System and Mount Qingcheng, beautiful greenery travel destination.
We travelled to Chengdu, China in May 2024. During the one week visit, we took a 1 day tour to famous Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng. Usually we do not travel with tour group, but this time we had to join a tour because we were not sure if we could visit these two places within one day by ourselves.
This is our 2024 China Chengdu travel vlog EP2, coving DuJiangYan Irrigation System (Bao Ping Kou, Fish Mouth, Anlan suspension bridge, Erwang Temple, Yulei Pavilion) and Mount Qingcheng (Jianfu Palace, Nature Painting, Quanzhen Temple, Natural Pavilion).
Du Jiang Yan is an ancient irrigation system built 2200+ years ago and it's still in use today. Mount Qingcheng is the birthplace of Taoism.

How to go there from chengdu?

We booked a 1 day tour at Jinli, there're many travel agents at Jinli and Kuanzhai Alley. The final cost is 600RMB, including transport from hotel, tickets, lunch, internal transport within Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng. It's a fair price, but it's a bit rush since it's a group tour.
If you have sufficient time, you may go to Mount Qingcheng by train, we saw train station right next to the entrance. For Dujianyan, you need to take train then transfer to bus, not that convenient, that's why we went with group tour.

@@SilentCoupleTravel did you also go to panda valley near dujiangyan?

No we did not go there. We grew up in China, migrated to Singapore in our 20s, had seen pandas so many times in China, Singapore, Taiwan... not interested anymore. But if you've never seen panda, it's highly recommended, the pandas are super cute.
