I got a hysterectomy at 42, two years ago, and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. Surgery was not a big deal and now no periods no debilitating pain and I don’t have to worry about any cancers. Pure freedom 🎉
Mia congrats on your new boyfriend and I agree with you on not showing your children on the internet too many bad things happen my niece actually stopped showing her children on the internet live your life to the fullest
Ablations are life changing! I’m speaking from experience and I have 2 friends that would say the same thing. No pain… just took me a couple days to recover from anesthesia
I had an ablation! In July 2021 and have not bled a drop since 🙌 my gyn does it in office. They knock you out in the stirrups for about 10 mins and laser the uterine lining. After waking up I went home with prescription Tylenol and was told to sleep the rest of the day. I couldn’t because I had to pee so much from the IV fluids lol. It did feel like my uterus was cramping and burning but just that one day. Next day I was fine. You have some discharge for a few days and then voila period free!! It is not considered 100% birth control. An egg can still fertilize and try to implant in your tubes or uterus and if that happens it’s very dangerous for you and the embryo will not survive. So either use a form of birth control or your partner gets a vasectomy. Once he’s no longer fertile then together you’re considered sterile. I still have regular pms symptoms and every once in a while will get a cramp, but so far it’s been wonderful. Why have periods if you aren’t having more kids?!? I say do it!
I had an ablation and it was WONDERFUL. I had it April 4, 2023, haven't had a period since. I do still have ovulation type pains but life is so much better. I was getting anemic bc in my late 40s was bleeding for weeks on end. It has helped me so much.
I had an ablation due to heavy cycles and it was the best thing I've ever done. I highly recommend for anyone who is sick of having their cycle no matter their flow level, but especially if anyone out there has heavy cycles. I never really had problems with cramps, so I don't know if ablations help for that. I had mine in 2018 and I've spotted like once. It's nice not having to go through 2 boxes of superplus tampons a day, and haven't been anemic or needed a blood transfusion since. 🙌🏽 Edit: and yes, you need to be done with bearing children. The ablation scars the lining of your uterus, which keeps it from shedding. Also means an egg couldn't attach, ergo no more pregnancies. Hope this helps.
I got the ablation done over 10 years ago. I wish I had done it sooner. No more periods, no symptoms, no side effects, no pain. And I am well past when I should have started menopause, and I've had no typical symptoms. Best thing I ever did for myself.
I moved in with my sister and her partner and my sister and I share a bathroom….I love helping keeping it clean and organized….slowly but surely we combine what we have and use it up….we will never need perfume or lotions or body wash ever again! lol! I have tons of little samples that I use up quickly….and those hotel things….well I use them too…. we have lots of stuff! Enjoyed your video! ❤❤❤
I have (or had) oily skin prior to using grape seed oil on my face daily for at least an hour prior to showering. I know, I know, it doesn't make sense to apply oil to an oily face but it works and I no longer have a shiny, oily face.
Thank you for sharing everything that you do. I love your cheerful disposition and that you try to make the best of things. I started a blog a while ago and it is hard to balance how much to share and how much to keep private.
On the ablation: I haven’t had it done but my mom did and she swears by it. She recommends it to all women who know they’re done having kids. She said she had mild spotting and cramping after but otherwise, she was fine. I had an iud after my son and haven’t had a period since. Highly recommend if a permanent solution or a surgery isn’t for you.
@@hollylaureano2860 it’s not a perfect solution everytime. Some people’s anatomy isn’t conducive to them. Sometimes they shift and become less effective
@makaithreads2261 you can make your own choices with your reproductive system and I will make mine, kay? “Leave your body alone” is straight up not an option for a lot of us, myself included
@makaithreads2261 girl, you worry about your reproductive health, and I’ll worry about mine. Mai asked and I know someone with personal experience. If birth control isn’t for you, great! “Leave your body alone” isn’t an option for a lot of us.
I had an ablation only because I’m perimenopause and I was have having some issues for several years. Yes it stops your periods forever and they state you shouldn’t get pregnant after having it ever again. I had no issues with the procedure, it was a breeze for me but unsure if it’s for anyone just not wanting periods anymore or for those having issues.
I’ve missed you. I had the uterine ablation done 15 years ago. My periods caused me to hemorrhage for a month at a time. It was horrible and totally affecting my life. Hello ablation, buh bye bleeding.

I had an ablation at the age of 34 and I had the same period the very next month. He said it doesn’t always work on younger adults. I would not recommend you can never carry a baby afterwards bc they burn the lining away.
I think you’re referring to an endometrial ablation. It’s a process where they burn off the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus. It’s a permanent and non-reversible birth control procedure, but it has something like a 10% failure rate. Most people who have it have lighter periods after but some have no period and some have periods that are the same. So if your primary motivation is to not have periods anymore, it’s unfortunately probably not the best option.
I had an ablation, it was a breeze. Sadly it didn't help at all and I had a hysterectomy . Loved it!!! Prior to that I was on massive doses of iron 3 times a day. Ugghh
I'm like you! My Irish father is sweaty and had acne. My Asian mother is hairless and has never had zits. I would have preferred getting the best qualities from my parents (no body hair, pimple free, tall), but I have zits, sweat like crazy, and need to shave my legs.
Great video!!!!! I also have a small mountain of stuff in my bathroom lolol. This was the best thing I could have watched ❤❤❤. Hope you're doing well, girl you are soooooooo beautiful. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I did some research for us, it’s called an Endometrial Ablation and it destroys the lining of your uterus. It’s used for people with endometriosis and it can reduce the amount you bleed or completely gets rid of your period! 😃

I had it done for medical reasons I was a heavy bleeder every two wks. If you are healthy keep your periods ,you have a period for a reason . I had three kids and I went through a grieving period after because I could not have any more kids. It didn’t hurt but you had to take it easy for two wks after I had it done I found out my hormones were out of whack so if I knew that before I would not of had it done. It isn’t meant for birth control
I tried that, I’m waaaaaayyyyyy too oily 😅😅😅😅 probably works for normal people. But for me I get through a quarter of my face before it’s covered and just spreading oil haha
6:38 Hope this isn't intrusive but I've tried a bit of stuff for helping with oily skin and I would recommend using niacinamid daily in your skincare 🙈 And idk about that laser thing but I love my menstural cup! I never liked tampons so I was skeptical at first but oh my, Idk how I lived before. I used constantly worry about leaking 🙃
8:20 don't worry about the aluminium! It annoys the heck out of me that everyone just jumped on the bandwagon with this lie because your body really doesn't absorb that much of it through deodorant 🙃 Using aluminum foil on your food actually introduces more aluminium in our system than that, and you'd still need to eat foiled food all day every day for weeks to be in any danger 🙄
Bought a reusable menstrual disk and period underwear few years ago. I haven’t bought any tampons or pads ever since. I feel liberated from the financial and environmental burdens simply because of the fact that I menstruate.
I had so much clutter before I divorced. I think mental clutter breeds physical clutter and vice versa! When I cleared out my head and my life it was easy to clear out the clutter!
Ablation: you have to be totally done having babies cuz you can’t after having it. BUT I was sent for medical reasons to discuss this option and my OB said if you do it too young it can heal and you’ll get you’re period back again. They prefer Doing it closer to menopause
Period Never came back and I was nowhere near menopause at the time. What they tell you is it is not birth control, but I had had my tubes tied at 21, so I was good to go.
