You are right the the dances have elements of Indian dance. The dances from the video are inspired by murals from Buddhist grottoes in the Dunhuang and Xinjiang regions of western China, which were key hubs on the ancient Silk Road. Adopted from The Silk Road where the Persians bought silk from China and travelled through lndia and Persia ( lran, lraq ) to Europe to sell the silk fabrics which were extremely popular in Europe.

Enchanting! I was so engrossed in the video that it took me a second to come outta it as it ended.

DunHuangWu ... Yellow Dune ( desert ) dance. A mixture of Persia, lndia and Chinese. Adopted from The Silk Road where the Persians bought silk from China and travelled through lndia and Persia ( lran, lraq ) to Europe to sell the silk fabrics which were extremely popular in Europe. The dance was popular during the ancient Tang Dynasty.
In later years, ltalian traveller Marco Polo broke the Persian silk monopoly.
