She just made up 30 meters!!?!! That was absolutely insane! Well done Kendell Ellis!
hi i like your channel its great
In less than 100 meters!🤯 I attended a five year high school and was a 100 and 200 meter guy, 400 meters was considered long distance to me. As luck would have it our senior men’s team didn’t have four guys and I was asked [read told], that I needed to run the 4 x 400. I blanched, I ran the second leg and I completely understand how that woman from Purdue felt running the anchor leg. My mind wanted my legs to move faster, but my body wouldn’t cooperate, I felt like I was running with a piano on my back and completely collapsed, after I passed the baton to the third leg. Sprinting 400 meters isn’t for cowards!
Moral of the race: never ever give up no matter your perception of the situation. It ain't over.
Thanks Yogi Berra lol
You can see the girl from Purdue saying "Fuck" right as she came through the tape. The realization of what had just happened. She had been caught and beaten. This is what focus, will, and staying the course is all about
that's what quitting in the last 50 does... you never assume any margin is safe.
I was looking for it the second she was reeled in with 10 to go.....damn that’s the stuff nightmares are made of
The out front though she had it made and slowed down
Erik Griffith she thought you had it in the bag and she wasn’t running all out and lost it for Purdue
Erik Griffith i just saw that 😭
Yo, when you want something that bad you push yourself to the limit!!
Anubis Ra deadass, yo
Harambe is a cac
Amen, and I know that for a fact. Happened to me in college, trying to get to medical school. I remember waking up at 5-6AM just to study. Long nights, early mornings. Isolated myself from peers. But it did not go in vain!
@Merketroid lol
Favorite race ever
This brought tears of joy to my eyes. "50.0...and she walks down Purdue"...SAVAGE!!😱😱 this gave me chills when I watched it a couple times
Purdue got snatched,that was amazing
Prince Alaba I watched this about 3 times
that was crazy!
Same i teared up when her teammate bent down to her and started crying
I fapped @ 1:45
This was cool to watch, she had all the fans in the stands going crazy! Those are true track and field fans, they are rooting for their personal schools and they all started to cheer for her afterwards. They know what they just witnessed
Gregorio Gonzalez Hayward field magic
I don’t even follow track and field don’t even care but I feel proud and happy for the woman just epic is that weird lol
ivis ramirez bruh I felt the same way after watching this
Naw, that was amazing to watch
Not at all. Watching an athlete/competitor take their performance to the next level right before your eyes to bring home the victory is always amazing to watch no matter the gender or sport. This woman came through exactly when her team needed her to.
No you just witnessed the gift that God gave her for the world to see. Truly a blessing to witness right ??👏🙏🏆
No, weird is not appreciating the amazing. This was amazing!
I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve come back to watch this race. It’s one of my favorites. This is definitely one of those moments in Kendall’s life, where she can reflect back fondly. I envision her old and grey - with her grandkids - saying: “back in my day, grandma came out of nowhere and made up those last 30 meters and won the race”. They’ll chuckle and think she’s embellishing, but we all saw it happen. It was pure magic! ✨
I can't stop watching this video! so awesome!
It's not about how you start, it's about how you finish
that’s not true but i understand the message your trying to send lol. i run track and yes the beginning means a lot but what ur trying to say is that you can still do well without having a good start
Jahfari Francois what I told myself when I got in a fight, I won 😂✌🏻😑
Jahfari Francois naw it’s about the journey 😎
@@diegomarroquin810 that was smooth af
Not when your running the 55 meter dash
This shows if you keep your head, you can be down/behind/late/make mistakes, but you’re NEVER OUT! Finish, you don’t know what the outcome could be!!! This is sooo motivational to watch! 😭🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Marian Drayton I typed this simply because I have no words! Through all things believe!
Marian Drayton one of the greatest finishes i have seen how i miss track :)
Marian Drayton black girl magic 😘
Marian Drayton I have watched this a dozen times already and I just can't get enough. Hands down the best performance I have ever seen.
Preach!
DON'T QUIT. You're already in PAIN. You're already HURT. Get a REWARD from it... #NeverGiveUp!!!💯
I just watch that vid yesterday and i think she listen to it before the race! Thats a champ right there, she about to be a feared woman!
4EvaNdaGame best quote I’ve heard, I’ll keep this sayin forever from now on thank you sir.
@4EvaNdaGame SO GOOD
Im a grown man and I watched this for the second time and I tried to stop it from coming but tears came down my face because it just didn’t mean she came back to win. It meant so many different things which gave me so many different emotions. The undying will to fight for something you believe in. The mindset to stay locked in until you get exactly what you want which can physically and mentally change your life. When you want a blessing from God. You fight and claw your hardest to receive it. Man this was amazing. The will to never freakin’ give up. Wow
why is you crying
@@billybob6604 Because he is delusional to the extreme.
@@Noa...... believing in god means to be delusional? Shut your mouth
100 people liked for a reason. I cried for the first time in years when I watched this.
@@ramsy4205 Yes, delusional. Just like how kids believe in the tooth fairy.
I don't know where this will rank, but it should definitely be included in a "Greatest T&F comeback victories" video. Right up there with Evelyn Ashford running down the E. German & Soviet girls to win the '88 4x1 Olym gold medal. Justin Gatlin running down Bolt and Coleman to win 2017 WC. Kendall Ellis, 2018 NCAA champ, take your place.
Don't forget Allyson Felix's monster 2nd leg at Mt SAC Relays
Gavin Scott--Allyson Felix is one of my fav sprinters. There's no way I can recall all the great comeback victories. So I will rely on knowledgeable people like yourself to mention others. Thanks for your input. Here's one that belongs in the conversation. Her name is never mentioned. ruclips.net/video/HRa7mQg73Eg/видео.html
gavin, that is not even close. it was a great leg against inferior runners, but a second leg can not compare to this. also, closing 30 meters in the last 100 is unreal.
@@rohadtanyad8908 You can say the same thing about this race. A great anchor leg against inferior no-name runners. Ellis turned pro and hasn't done much as a professional. Hopefully, she's not a one-hit wonder.
Dave Wottle.
WOW 😮 staying late and coming early to practice pays off👀👀💯
Hard work, and training pays Off!
Knowing your role pays off also
That One whoever works the hardest wins every time. before the battle and during.
She showed why you never give up
ESPN posting about track😱
Yeah! Track is amazing!
marco paiz watch ya mouth nigga
This isn’t a new development ya fuckin dweeb
Right though?! How awesome is that?
Track is life
The only time this Notre Dame fan ever pulled for USC in anything. Very motivational no matter who you are. Congrats to Kendall Ellis and her team. AWESOME!!!!
Never give up!
I'm not a lip reader, but I think I know what the Purdue runner said at the finish line.
LINER011 F FUCK!
Girl from Purdue pulled a JR Smith
_NDG she thought she had the race in the bag
Oh I bet they shamed the fuck outta her
You see her say "f*ck" as they cross the finish line.
You trying to start a saying?
Idk, Kendall Ellis had an extra gear compared to the other girls. A Jr Smith moment would be slowing down at the finish line to celebrate and lose the race.
Kendall Ellis was in her stride, serious effort, all out, totally awesome!!!! Go Kendall go!!
Even the other schools fans were cheering for Ellis. She’s a real champion for that drive Tesla’s don’t even have. That was unbelievable. Job well done 🙌🏿
When you witness spectacular athleticism like that, you applaud even if she’s not representing your college, state, or country.
I'm just looking at the disbelief in the crowd that was priceless, you just knew something great just occurred. This gave me chills for real.
Damn this gave me chills. What a comeback 💪🏽💪🏽
Chills bro 😂
One of my coaches showed me this and told ME specifically to not give up cause if someone passes me I would tend to give up but I’ve been working on that’s and it’s gotten a lot better! That girl really inspires me!
That was amazing!
The woman from Perdue got distracted at the last second looking at the cameras and she slowed down just a hair. Maybe she thought when the crowd started cheering, that was for her? lol
Daddy SmokesYams i said the same thing - she was thinking the cheers were for her...
Good thing she did start cheering
if you do track and field you can tell she was gassed. she didn’t have enough energy to keep going.
Nice! Love some track and field!
Every time I see these track vids it makes me want to be a better runner, then I start running and realize I'm just not as athletically gifted.... :(
Unbelievable!!!
Why the hell are there over 50 "thumbs down" for this? This is great (definitely a thumbs up) and I actually teach at Purdue...
In some instances, what posted were sexual and evil and has nothing to do with this great accomplishment. I watched this so many time because of the will to win has no equal
That's just gave me chills omfg
Mon Gu Son I had watched it twice too! Insanely Good!
Mon Gu Son lmao me to
Bruh, this hella inspiring 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
One of the dopest sports vids! Wow is all I got!
Wowwwwwww... That was all heart, hardwork and dedication. Bravo young lady 😉
Making a serrated edge
The only thing that could have made this race/finish even more epic would be Ato Boldon’s commentary.
That was awesome
She turned on the jets🔥🔥
That is what I call will power. Wow! What a race.
Just how they always say in football "Finish thru the line" This run shows exactly why we have to finish hard in every sport. So we can go the extra mile. Im so proud of her. She did amazing!! justt Woww..This proves everything about how the little things matter🏃🔥🏃🔥🏃🔥🏃🔥🏃🔥🥇💯
That was super impressive!!
Ellis ran her heart out.. Wow.. She never gave up.. Great race
Never give up baby. It ain't over till it's over!!
Kendall should've been doing the talking holding the trophy 🏆
I’ve watched this clip dozens of times over the years. I love hearing the female commentator saying “Here comes SC “ and the cheers of the fans watching Kendall trying to catch up with the Purdue runner. Kendall Ellis has to be a USC LEGEND because of this race. USC(removing her pain at losing that same race the previous year)
Comebacks are the most exciting thing ever
Mentally strong, strong mentally is huge. Never give up.
Gotta Love watching women in track and field 😌
Damn right that USC sister was moving fight on Trogans ✌
A 50 split and a huge comeback. God damn even with the bad hand off.
This was amazing. Never give up no matter what!
Black Girl Magic!!!
Zayd Shakur YESSSSSS. Them strong black legs.
Zayd Shakur
Lol she beat another black girl. Where was HER magic? Lol
And there it is. Someone found it necessary to throw in race.
race was not “thrown in”. she’s black. it’s not an accessory trait. it’s her.
Jason T how is it throwing in race?? she’s LITERALLY black. it’s just black people being proud of each other, go piss of somewhere else
Kendall Ellis? Kendall Ellis! KENDALL ELLIS!!!
HOORAY FOR KENDALL ELLIS! - Stephen Ethridge, Mature Master middle distance runner once I become 75 on 6/12/19. From Cazenovia Central H.S., class of 1962. I was a mile runner and a Cross Country runner for Fred Vero!
Thank you PhillyD for suggesting this amazing video
WOW! You saw it when she grabbed the baton and secured her position in the inside lane that she was determined to win. Last 100m shoulders and arms strong with knees up running like race just started Omg!! Wins!!
@1:04 other teams looking at her like b***h what? Lol! Amazing run.
2:23 Ol' girl in the blue was pissed that she was getting passed and hit her with the baton. I'm dying 😂😂😂😂😂
What she did takes so much heart. That’s why we are so deeply touched by this. This also brought tears of joy in my eyes. God bless this girl!
0.41 I just don't know if Purdue going to get caught
0.46 there is no way unless Purdue drops baton Purdue is going to win
0.50 Here Comes SC
0.56 USC not going to catch Purdue
1.00 USC wins
@@virgo15goddess... it wasn't that they counted Kendall Ellis out, it was nothing against her. It's just that you don't ever see someone kick it into another gear at the end of the race in Track & Field. That was a rare occurrence. I'm glad I got to see that,it was amazing!! ✌
Awesome job ladies 😘
Kenall took a breath & said "LETS GO CHAMP" & PUT THE FOOTS DOWN! GO CALI BAYBAYYY!
Lol she flew😂😂🔥🔥
*me when she says her parents are out of town*
Kendall Ellis puts it into 5th gear & takes the National Championship!!
Congratulations USC Women's Track & Field... 2018' T/F National Champions🏆🥇
🏆❤✌FIGHT ON✌💛🏆
All those fast intervals in practice just got cashed in. That was an epic run leaving nothing unspent.
this made me more emotional than I thought I would be. cheers to putting everything on the line to achieve your goal
This is what makes sports great
This made me cry and I'm not an sc fan but that determination is elite
Now that is an example of giving it everything you've got! UNBELIEVABLE!
It's 2a.m. here in NYC and I'm tearing with emotions of joy..CONGRATULATIONS USC on y'alls CHIP....
I'm a hardcore Bruins fan and hate the Trojans with a passion. I have to give USC'S Eliis all the credit and respect in the world. She's a true example of grit, determination, and never giving up! Great job Lady Trojans!!!!! :)
That girl she reminds of Florence Joyner catching up like that. Very talented🏆🎖🏅
Amazing leg, big heart! This is why I don't understand why T&F is not more popular in the US.
Mitchell after she crosses the line and looks up at the board:
"FUCK"
I watched this like 5 times. My stomach tingled every time. This was Amazing 🏆💛
Who is Kendall Ellis ?? Where is she? This is the most unbelievable come-back i have ever seen !!
Jah bless to these amazing ladies.Straight from Jamaica one love
I felt my liver quiver, while watching her pull that out.
For whatever reason, that gave me chills! As a former mile relay-er (3rd leg, then anchor), this made my day! Way to go USC!
Got to be 89 Georgia and Oregon fans with the thumbs down. SHM. That was a grown trip on the last 440. Love the coach: "Told them all year, "We are going to win the national championship, it's gonna come down to the mile relay and we gotta do it in the rain." Lawd. Such an awesome display of grit and determination.
The Purdue girl picked up a piano on those last 20 yards.
Literally in the last meter! This is why relays are so great to watch :)
Respect to the person controlling the camera for not exploiting the angle when she was bent over on all fours trying to catch her breath.
You should pause at :38 seconds to really appreciate this major come back.... Wow!
I always come back to this video for inspiration
Wow! What a Powerful Message! Never give up, Never give in, Run till you Win! Congratulations! Girl you touched my heart.
GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!
That was insane . I’m in awe right now
When it all comes down to HEART ! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
What an incredible video I have just witnessed. The undying spirit of an underdog becoming a champion in just seconds.
OMG 😮 that was superhuman
at 3:10 "Purdue's gonna win this" As good as Dewey beats Truman EPIC!!! National Championship for Women of Troy! Drop the mike!!!
They won’t debate this on first take
This is *KICK OF THE YEAR*. This anchor leg was more epic than Jessica Beards 2011 4x400 final anchor leg.
Damn she hit dem after burners! 😂
You can honestly see how much she wanted to win and she gave everything she had in her body to do that and i just wanna cry
yall sleeping on Sydney. she ran a faster leg than ellis. but anyways kendall went full on beast mode what a job well done.
Wow!!! great job ladies! Kendall Ellis was in beast mode THE WHOLE WAY!!
Damn! She deserves every bit of that win!
Dope AF
Kendall Ellis' leg on that relay should AT LEAST get an ESPY award nomination for play of the year!!!
What a display!!! That was pure HEART and DETERMINATION!! Good for her!!
