I remember him singing this on America's Got Talent and I was really disappointed that he didn't win. I think that ventriloquist won but he was pretty good I guess. Anyway I just wanted to say that of all the other versions of the song and the other artist that sing it I like this one the best. Its the best in my opinion!

I feel America's Got Talent was rigged after Cas lost, I was amazed how he didn't win.
I agree that Bongoman in the back takes away from the true Haley experience, this guy was born for Acoustic Acapella.

Good, some people don't know get the difficulty in singing a song of Sting's. Especially kids. I'm glad you actually like this song.
He is amazing let's not compare he always sounds good if you do not likeit do not listen..Cas always sounds good to me.
I don't think he sounds anything like Anthony Green. Doesn't mean a collab between them wouldn't be awesome though.
veronikovski21 - The year he was on was the one year I wish they gave two first places. It wouldn't have mattered who won that year I felt bad for the other person.
Cas is defiantly the more "conventional" talent, but Terry Fator had that "unconventional" talent going for him, which is why I think he ultimately won.
Cas just entered the competition in the wrong year. Any other year to date he would have kicked butt all the way to the final and won in the end..
i agree the copy of his america's got talent is better, but not because of anythiung he's doing different. It's the acustics in the room. His voice doesn't have quite the same richness because of the acustics in the room, however I much prefer him as acustic rather than the one song he did w/ a million instruments in the background..his clear, smooth voice got lost among them. he sounds best with just a guitar and bongos.
Agreed it doesn't feel the same way, but I doubt he can get that same emotion he had then. I mean he didn't know then that people would actually like him and when hundreds of thousands of people are cheering for you, it must have been an extraordinary feeling which translated into his song,so it is hard to replicate it in studio. But nonetheless still and amazing voice and I really do hope he can make a career out of this.

There is no doubt about it Cas has an awesome voice and I love the Reggae spin he puts on music. I only enjoyed a very small sampling of reggae music, but almost every one of performances I've heard I've enjoyed.
He may not have the 100mil contract the other guy got, but I think a niche act has a limited life span. True talent like Cas lasts a life time.
why so much fuss? the two versions are completely different styles. it's crystal clear that some people prefer one and the others do the other! i hear more jamaican style from Cas and that's cool. Sting's version is more old school but still quite cool. respect other's taste and hang on to your own people!
Hmmm... I don't think terry's going to be forgoten this soon. Terry actaully has talent, it's not like some random guy won that doesn't know how to do anything. I do agree Cas is AMAZING and would have deserved the title, but Terry is just as tallented and deserved it as well.
lol... the "bongo guy" is part of his band... along with another guitar player, bass player, drumer, sax and trumpet player. I was lucky enough to see them play last night at the Music Mill in indianapolis and it was one of the best concerts I've seen this year. They totally kicked it.

You know what? you're rigth. It's something I have critized and Ididn't realized I was making the same mistake, I also think it's a little unfair for the other talents. But sorry I liked the guy's voice so much I couldn't help it.
Gotta go with Oniperson here. THAT song is much better suited to Sting than Cas. Not to mention that the original Bass Line is THE most important part of that tune, as it was originally conceived. Not dinging Cas here, but get a grip people!!

it sounds so much better, just how he sings it on americas got talent, sorry but only 3 stars, becuase this version, was not as good. When he says it's the price he must pay on AGT it sounds so good. He always seems to enjoy himself.
think it's better on america's got tallent tho... it's not really a big difference in how he sings it but that little difference makes me get goesbumps when i hear it, but this version is kinda plain compared to the other one.. sry cas ^^

erm nothing... you cant compare this to the original... if u do its shows that u know nothing about music. i said its a nice cover(i usually dont like covers) but for real you cant compare them. police are far above

The AGT of this was better lose the bongo guy and get your band back. iv been in garage bands for years and still in them. if i see something that don't look good i tell him to take a hike.

The best version I've heard is Cas' at america's got talent. This one isn't played with as much excitment and hapiness as the america's got talent one.

Good version, but his voice cant compare to sting. Try searching sting when he is singing alone just him and a guitar, there is no comparison.

Well they are talking about his voice. At certain points in the song he dose sound like he is singing regge. But yea he is singing Sting.
He does not need that guy to play that drums, he´s talented enough to play by himself and still sound great... great music and voice Cas!!!
