It's always a challenge to take apart a vehicle dashboard, but this video gave excellent tips and pointers to make it a satisfying and totally successful project. Yes, as someone mentioned, using rosin core solder works better than solid solder, but don't use too much and just the right amount of heat and it all works like new. Thanks so much!
I have repaired three of these windstars with same problem. And I installed stops on the indicators at the same time because when the indicators go haywire and you operate the gearshift lever, you can damage the indicators.

Do you have a video of you doing the actual soldering? Or how about removing the cluster and having it repaired remotely by someone who is more comfortable soldering on PCB. Where are you located? Interested in repairing another?
