@@FriskGamer1 Yes that is true. You need a high quality product before you launch otherwise no one will buy it. But then again, an essential part of any business is profit-making.

You didn't actually explain how to actually make a video game. You rolled through a topical to do list.
Hey, it's pretty difficult to explain how to make an entire video game step-by-step in 3.5 minutes. So this is more an overall guide. My channel covers many different aspects of the process as it would be impossible to do it all in that length of time.
Look at games that were developed by a huge team and do better as a solo dev
What if I just want to make something fun rather than innovative?
Great question. Try and make the game look as good as possible, make it eye catching. Even if it’s not innovative it has a good chance of selling then :)

Fun is everything. Look up Gabe Newells definition of 'fun' in games for the best crystallisation of that feel and goal I've ever heard.
