This is my first season getting into saddle or any kind of tree climbing hunting. Would you suggest this as a good place to start? Seems like the people that dont love it are having a hard time getting used to it because its so different from the methods they are used to.
@@old-man-storm5253 that is a great assessment and I would agree with you. I wish I would’ve had this when I started out. I would suggest climbing with the tether unless you have to pull the lineman’s belt out for going around limbs.
I remember seeing something like this back in the day that was marketed to climbing stand hunters. Would you be able to change out the tether for a 30' - 40' one for rappel, and can you replace the bags? Thanks!
I was interested in the first Video you put out. I thought it was really cool. I’m not a huge fan after ordering and using the slap strap. With the trees I climb it’s a little clunky to climb with. My bow hanger didn’t work well with the slap strap. I understand the utility but for me. The versatility of a gear hanger and traditional climbing method was more practical. Very cool idea though.
Thank you for the review I used mine last Saturday going take some getting use to for me far has going up and down the tree are you using it for hunting? Only asking because I see a post where you had a regular tether
@@JennRFL16 I have purposely not been using it videos and content due to inventory constraints, but once inventory constraints are lifted I will start to show it more. I have been using it on my scouting/wildlife filming hunts but not when recording any episodes.
I ordered the Slap Strap with your code and was just informed it is on its way! Question - is there a reason, given the ease of moving the SS up and down the tree that you wouldn’t just climb using the tether? It seems that it would be extra safe and 0 extra effort. Thoughts?
I ordered it and it sucks with climbing sticks, there is no way to wrap it round the tree without interfering with the sticks. Ironically it feels more unsafe.
Im not spending 150 on that it will come to almost 200 with tax not with a low income like me but people like that don’t think anout people like low income and it didnt coat 150$ to make it

@@glennflake5732 happy to hear that! Thank you for letting me know!
How easy is it to move around a branch?
@@briancook4763 it’s easy. Since there is two ropes you just move one above the limb and connect then move the other over.
Is that the difference between the single and the double they sell?
@ that’s correct!

@@JasonGrizzleOwlteacher with some cutting you could switch out the ropes. And yes the backs can be added or removed. 😎👍

What are the chances of hooking up to opposite ropes?
@@goodtimekillers3262 I am not sure I understand the question. The ropes are labeled and are different colors.
@ what are the chances of missing the color differences in the dark and hooking one side to the tether and the other side to the lineman’s belt
@ pretty slim. They are distinctly positioned to avoid this
Completely unrelated, but what brand is the camo shirt you are wearing?
