As someone who started to learn crocheting like exactly a week ago, I'm always flabbergasted by the speed these tutorials have. Like, they move the hook TWICE and the project is almost finished! I'm convinced they use some sort of witchcraft to accomplish this.
Lilthings and ETM’s Studio are really helpful! I started crocheting at the start of this year and now I’m making all sorts of plushies and even a dress for my sister
Thank God I'm a visual learner because when I was first learning how to crochet I could only find Spanish and Russian videos that clearly showed the steps
I loved this video so much that when I write my name on my work I always put S.M.D.B.A and everyone asks why but I’ve only told one person to keep it from spreading to a teacher
To all beginners I really recommend the RUclips channel lil things, not only her design are super cute, but the video quality is great, and the explaining too. She explains each step with great detail and even though she uses new terms such as decrease, increase, double crochet, she clearly explains things and goes very slowly so you could see everything clearly. She usually also repeats the step multiple times so you could see it in different ways. She never covers up the stitches and when she does before she specifically explains to which stitch you should put your crochet hook in. She is awesome and I love her tutorials. ❤
I just started learning myself, and this is so accurate. Every video i have to slow it down to see how they exactly do it and repeat section of the video 🥲 and i still can't find a video to learn how to read pattern instructions for dummies like me who are slow in learning
I'm 55 and started crocheting in my teens... despite being knowledgeable in several stitches and styles (I personally love Tunisian crochet best ❤) I have never been able to follow a pattern unless I created it myself. I can look at a picture (if it's detailed) and figure out how to create a similar item, but following the video tutorials for even a beginner item is daunting at best. Don't feel bad and please don't give up because it's one of the most rewarding crafts I do and there are many people who will definitely help you if you want to learn! If you are in an area with a local café or similar place, ask the staff about groups. My crochet friends and I meet weekly at our local Biggby for a few hours of crafts and chats 😂❤...we always welcome new friends who may be seasoned crochet masters, or have no clue how to get started. We are there for anyone who wants to join us.😊
Bruh fucking SAME holy balls bro 😭 like I bought woobles thinking it would help and if does a little bit but like damn it still doesn't help for shit for me 😭 plus my damn hands hurt 😂
as someone who learned crocheting about 1 hour ago, and looked up one video on it, i have learned that it adds the subject to your recommended so fast.
Yeah, the covering the subject and not adequately explaining it always gets me too with those tutorials. Genuinely, the advice I have is to go around reporting unhelpful tutorials as spam, misleading, and misinformation. That's what those reporting categories were made for, and if enough people follow through, it does actually help the algorithm to promote talented, dedicated individuals who make real content on this platform
Hehe, that’s the main reason why I learned how to read crochet diagrams. Much more visual, no stress, no need to rewind a video a million times, you can do it offline…. All benefits! Learn how to read diagrams people, you won’t regret it! Take care you all 😊
You’ll be surprised how quickly you’re watching the videos on x2 speed! Hooked by Robin and fibre spider are amazing for explaining what they’re doing!
THIS IS SO REAL! I’ve been crocheting for a couple years, and even now the tutorials sound like this. They never explain the acronyms they use or what the stitches mean! What’s even worse, is you can’t freaking see where they insert the hook!! I just stick to granny squares because I don’t have the patience to watch a tutorial!
Oh my goodness as someone who just started a couple weeks ago this is painfully accurate. I’m working on something and the tutorial was so good, included all of the steps, showed everything and was easy to follow. Then we had to start making a tail for it and I needed to make a magic loop. Can not for the life of me figure out where the stitches go and it’s just frustrating. I sat it down and haven’t picked it up since as it was just causing me a headache. I’ll try again when I get another hyper fixation with it in like 2 months 😂
To the crochet beginners I recommend Mahum, Viv crochets, and little things. Little things is perfect for beginners she goes super slow and explains every step
This is how it felt learning origami, like every time there was a part I was struggling on in paper instruction the video would always jump cut straight past it
This is so funny! That's exactly what it's like! I just started learning how to crochet a week ago by my aunt because I could not with these tutorials! 😅😂
There was this one super amazing black lady that I followed. I can’t remember her name and if I click off this post, I won’t be able to get back on here, but I found her by RUclips being crochet ideas and she has many videos that are like 100 different new crochet ideas clear awesome super Amazing videos
Pls tell me where you got that crochet ring and that little bowl from pls
It’s a must have for every croshitter💖 #crochet
Croshitter

I am surprised to see so many comments like that. I started 3 weeks ago and tutorials i watch are very slow, i even had to speed few ones
Fr,I started almost a month ago and these tutorials are pretty hard to follow along with!😅
As someone who just started 2 days ago, this is a spot on impression 😭
Yesss 😭
Same but someone that started yesterday
I've been crocheting for 8 years and I still can't learn anything new online, all the tutorials are kinda ass
Lilthings and ETM’s Studio are really helpful! I started crocheting at the start of this year and now I’m making all sorts of plushies and even a dress for my sister

OMGG I love the suckmydikbalas stitch !!!
Literally the prettiest stitch ever!
You forgot the part where they say it’s a “BEGINNER” tutorial and they proceed to not explain what anything means lol
This is what those tutorials look like to some who’s been crocheting for almost twenty years. You’re not alone. Good luck on your new journey!!
This makes me feel so much better
I Had my phone up sooo loud😭😭😭
Thank God I'm a visual learner because when I was first learning how to crochet I could only find Spanish and Russian videos that clearly showed the steps
The "i'll hide where i insert the hook" 😂😂😂😂
Why do people use the THICKEST hooks 😭✋️
It’s better for their hands
5 mm for thin arse yarn? 😭@@emmywhycamera
@@ItsAkiixx I thought you meant the handles my bad 😣
The tick hooks are best for learning! They choose them so the tutorial is more clear
I don’t mind the thick hooks as long as they match the yarn thickness and the yarn is not fuzzy. That said, the hook is way too big here
I just started today and now i cant stop!😭
I recommend if you can afford it starting with woobles it taught me the basic stitches that you need to know to follow patterns its way easier
"so easy you guys! I just did 15-97 ACDC suckmydickballassstitch 😁" HELP WHAT 😭😭

OMG I JUST STARRINB KNIT CROCHETING AND THIS IS SO TRUE
Omg why is this so accurate!!? I mean I’ve been crocheting for about 2 years now and it makes sense how this would sound that way to new crocheters 😅
I've been crocheting for years...and this video is accurate for 80% of crochet RUclipsrs
Relatable!! I had to go thru tons of YT vids just to make a simple magic ring!
Happy Berry Crochet does a super good job on clear and easy instructions with good visuals
This is so true…😭😭
EXACTLY! IT'S LIKE THIS IN ALMOST EVERY VIDEO! I LET ME SEEEEE
Tried crocheting once, never tried it again
I loved this video so much that when I write my name on my work I always put S.M.D.B.A and everyone asks why but I’ve only told one person to keep it from spreading to a teacher
As a Blender student, I hear you, I see you, and I hate them in solidarity with you.

Oh this is so on point...
This is so accurate when you're new to crocheting 😂
As someone who’s been crocheting for a dew years, this is spot on
“Suckmehdickballassstich” 😭😭
As someone who never started crocheting, it's like listening to a normal crochet tutorial, I don't see a difference.
Sewing tutorials are the same way!!!! They always edit out the things I need to see 😭
Oh my goodness as someone who just started a couple weeks ago this is painfully accurate.
