Thanks for sharing! Old antenna, but still good results 👌🏽 Wish you lot's of good contacts, especially now in summer outside. Many greetings, Matthias 👋 DL1NDG
Nice video Randy. Thanks for mentioning this setup on our great QSO this evening. I will get my screwdriver set up so that I can mount it on my camper. It has been a great antenna when I used it mobile, now it will get a new life in portable operation. I also really like your comments about the radials. A physically short antenna needs every bit of efficiency that it can get, and tuned radials will do exactly that. Hope to see you on the air again! 73, Len, KD0RC
Thanks for the video. I have a Xiegu G90 and set it up with my Super Antennae the other day with no radials at all (in SW Ohio). I picked up a HAM in southern New Mexico and he was a s strong and clear as if he were in front of my house. I could not transmit to his location. So far, I seem to have an issue transmitting. Any thoughts on that?? My friend says the radials would help with reception but not really for transmission. I do want to make a set for 10 meters just to have on hand. How many and suggested length? Just clip then to the two terminals on the mount! I'm working on getting this setup working well soon. Thanks again
How long are your radials for 20 meters? I’ve been running 3 total at 33ft each for both 20 and 40 meters. I suspect they should be closer to 16ft for 20 meters? 73s from KN4EQG. Btw, I’ve done 2 POTA activations so far using my MP-1 with it sitting on its tripod on top of my Toyota Tacoma’s roof. First contact was into Spain from Mobile, AL
Good video. I have one and I'll be setting it up shortly, picked up some nice tips from you! Thanks again.

Glad you enjoyed it. Trial and error has made the antenna work better than it did when I bought it. Easy to transport and setup. Thanks for watching.
Love my superantenna!
Yep, I think it’s a great antenna that works well for portable work. Thanks for watching.

Is that a Chinese copy of the Super Antenna MP1?

For 20m my radials are 17.5ft and 33ft for 40m
Do you have to use both sections on the base?
Yes, both rods are used on the antenna
How are they for qrp ( 5 w) ?
Get Mp 1
