Really enjoy your videos. You don’t find too many videos on here about pulling crank baits with weights on them. My wife and I do that all the time I will push from the front and then she will pull from the back. The nice thing about pulling weights from the back you are able to turn the boat around a lot faster and get back to the honey hole. Thanks again
Great alternative to longlining! Going to give it a try. All the coves on my lake are crowded with pleasure boats and make it impossible to longline. Thanks for sharing this great method!
enjoyed the video good info that i needed, but can i pull cranks out of the front of the boat and using 2oz weight and did you let 15 foot of line out on each rod or different length per rod on each side?
I was letting out between 12 to 18 ft of line. I like to stagger my depths to cove more of the water column. Fish were mostly suspended between 10 to 12 ft.
I love your videos I’m just getting into crappie fishing and they’ve helped me a lot! I was wondering if you had ever tried pulling jigs and plastics this way instead of long lining so you can take advantage of the quick turn arounds?
Tell us more about how the rods are set in the holders. It looks like the tips are just above the water and the bite would pull the tip into the water.
Some of the best , most informative videos I’ve ever watched . Keep em coming brother! Great job !
Thanks for the kind words! I enjoy teaching!
I wish we had a place to pull crank baits here in my part of Texas. That looks like fun. Good video bud!
Thanks 👍. Gotta be somewhere you guys can pull em.
Plenty of places in tx. Problem here is fighting the sandies and.hybrids looking for the crappie
9:15 If the fish catches the hook and it makes it swim sideways a little, the fish feel bigger than they are
I have 2 oz egg sinkers would that work the same? Also if pulling 1/6 oz roadrunners with twisters would you switch the weight to 1/2 oz?
where do you fish that you are allowed 6 rods? in Illinois it's only 2
Tennessee
Gosh great video I was wondering how I was going to get my cranks deeper the 2 oz in-line solves that!
can you share a link to your fishing rod holder?
driftmasterrodholders.com/
Seems like u catching most them on the smaller rod.. are the longer rods line running deeper in dept?
Thats what I'm takin bout aint all LS... alot of fun ways to catch'em👍
Agree 100%
Great video thanks for the information and for the nice steady camera! Us motion sick guys can’t watch the helmet cam videos. Subscribed!
Your very welcome Tim. I get that way while watching the body cam stuff to. It’s so hard to keep up with at times. Thanks for the Sub

That’s one of the best things about them. Less tangles when turning!
I'll have to try this on Lake Conroe in Texas. Will try in Tellico later this Fall.
I know this technique will
work in Texas.

When you count line out is that including the leader or just to the weight?

I push two from the front and pull two from the side while sitting in front seat. Well until I get my ultre x
You can push them from the front if you would like. I vary my depth some until I find the fish then I run them all around the same depth.
How much line were you letting out and what depth were you cranking?
I was letting out between 12 to 18 ft of line. I like to stagger my depths to cove more of the water column. Fish were mostly suspended between 10 to 12 ft.
Great video, thanks! At 10:23, were those two rods on the left side of the boat in a snag? They seemed to both steady pull at same time.
What pound line you running?
I run 6 lb mono when pulling cranks. Vicious 6 lb test.

Matt,
What Lake were you on? Didn’t look like Douglas. Good video
Say it on the video thanks. I’m going to try this on dale hollow this week. I love your channel.
Good luck! Thanks Todd!
Great Video….always learn a lot from your videos.
All crappie crankbait videos I see are for summer fishing. Can you use the same technique in fall?
It works anytime theres crappie in the water.
What state is this? 6 rods for one angler? Here in Ohio we are allowed 2 maximum per angler

How deep of water do you troll in a creek
I try an look for 20 to 30 ft when pulling cranks in the summer
Kentucky lake we caught as many catfish as crappie when pulling
Nice !!!
Thanks!
You had two going strong during your instruction. One on each side. Happens to me every time lol....
I know. I had two going strong on the instruction and again on the outro! Man!!
