    I thought the third phase of the program, the "Build" phase, was by far the best. I thought the first two phases were more elementary and did less of a good job targeting muscle groups, but I've been doing resistance training for a while, so those first two phases probably weren't geared for me.
    I would still say that Body Beast is the gold standard for weight training. But this is a solid program.

    I'm halfway through Dig Deeper (not a Bodi Coach FYI) and yes, it is absolutely brilliant. Kristin is a great addition (especially in Month 2 when she is finally allowed to talk). The music is top notch, Shaun T is always an elite motivator (I've done Insanity, Insanity Max 30, Focus T25 and CIZE). Only thing I'd say is Month 1 doesn't allow for long enough breaks between sets, so I ended up pausing it sometimes for a minute. Looking forward to Month 3 and as of now, fully fully recommend it.

      I never try his programs long enough it was too much cardio jumps for me. This remains me the beast but I love that Shaun tell with muscles you are targeting and yes I hurts lol.

    You have great timing. Im finishing up liift4 and was debating this and liiftmore but was having the hardest time finding a non "coach" review.

      Speaking from experience, if you liked Liift4 and More, this one is a slam dunk.

      I've done LIIFT4 litereally 10 times. Love that program. Thought I'd like Lift More. My own opinion...i wasnt a big fan. Way too fast paced. Not enough time to pick the correct weights because i always had to race back to get to the next set. Felt the reps were too fast. Just my own opinion. I gave it a 7/10. Im looking forward to Dig Deeper as I have yet to find a bad review.

    I LOVE Dig Deeper. Good for all ages as well. Good ol' weight training, no jumping and some good vibes from Shaun T. Can't ask for more! And it's better than Body Beast, 'cause it is Shaun T. Sorry, Dysfunctional Parrot.

    I currently have a peloton subscription, and thinking about switching to BODi. I dislike a lot of blathering from the trainer, and want a long program. Trying to decide if bodi fills those needs. I’ve got a fair amount of strength training background and looking for low reps, and heavy weights with mostly primary movements. Should I get bodi?

    • @DysfunctionalParrot
      @DysfunctionalParrot  Месяц назад +2

      That’s a good question. I’ve never used Peloton services. That having been said, BODi has some pretty awesome programs. Yeah, a lot suck pretty bad ( avoid Leondro Carvalho if you value your sanity ). But Body Beast, Dig Deeper are top tier.

    Great review, as usual. Dig Deeper is great, but why didn’t they include a chip-up bar? BB is top notch, despite the outdated corny jokes.

    Hi parrot, long time fan from your t25 review days. Which one should I start with? Lifft more, body beast or dig deeper? I have the dumbells (currently have a pair of 3, 5, 7.5 and 10 kgs) and the adjustable bench. I am 5.9 and I weigh 83 kgs. Also a beginner male aged 35.

      I’m a Body Beast shill, but the more I do of Dig Deeper the more impressed I get. I’d put Lifft More as third on that list.

    He is definitely juiced. There is no way someone his age is packing on muscle like that. And also his trainer (can't remember her name) is juiced out of her mind. You dont get shoulders like that without some pretty gnarly stuff.

      I made a comment about calling him "Shaun TRT" in one of his promo videos. It was a bit facetious, but not meant as a criticism. I received a very courteous response from whoever runs the account that he indeed is on TRT and apparently made no secret about it, adressing the topic in other media. So that's that. But yeah, it's obvious he has synthetic T on top of whatever he should have at this point in time 😆

    I'm torn between Beast and Dig Deeper... having tried them myself(currently on the latter). Honestly, I'm liking Dig Deeper more than Body Beast; but then again, I might actually try alternating programs back and forth from now on at my age! At 48, I've never been in better shape, not even in high school; and I don't see myself stopping my 5 to 6 day regiment until I croak!💀

    • @DysfunctionalParrot

      Body Beast for straight simplicity, but Dig Deeper for a little extra spice. Both outstanding programs.

    I came across this on FB and had posed a question there, but will also ask here: I see an adjustable bench is featured, but can these exercises be done on floor (or standing, depending on the move ...) without compromising their effectiveness?
    I'd love to do this but don't have a bench. 😒

    • @DysfunctionalParrot
      @DysfunctionalParrot  2 месяца назад

      Most can. But some situations like incline presses will be hard without a proper bench.
