      Considering the fact that one of them was fucking with the IRS and, that would start a federal investigation into the whole department, the only way to dodge the bullet and running the risk of all their dirty laundry getting aired out is by firing them and publicly putting them on blast. If the IRS wasn't involved I would probably agree with you.

      Officer Down Memorial Page...see the cops getting taken out routinely. tough job
      sometimes, but so is being a garbage man in winter. One can bring bad cops or bad cooks in front of Superior court judges whenever one wants. Bad mouthing metermaids or overpaid crossing guards aka cops is lazy. Join a dojo and beat the shit out of them legally, if you find them too egotistical to tolerate. Realistically, it is just a job for undereducated/uneducated lazy people.

      The culture of defending their own cops at any cost; right, wrong or indifferent, is why they cannot be trusted. “Stunned. Because we won the review board hearing,” is code for, “We got away with it, when we were investigated by our own buddies, so why be all honest?” Like he literally doesn’t get it?! That cops are meant to be the good guys!? Honestly chilling . . .

    • @dennisjohnsen7297
      @dennisjohnsen7297 2 года назад +5

      A police union is there for one reason, to defend the police. What I think would be best is if the Union takes on the risks of employing an officer that posses a potential risk. You and I have various types of insurance. Auto insurance premiums reflect the potential risk we pose. If we pose too much of a risk, the insurance company will not insure us, correct? If an officer demonstrates that he/she has had multiple issues, then the Union can either keep employing that officer fully aware of the financial risk, or terminate that officer because of the risk. Does that make sense to you? Taxpayers footing the bill for Officer misconduct, and police unions have no risk of any financial burden for the questionable officers they fight to keep on the force, just so they can continue to receive Union dues.
