I wish the writers could have written a new love story for Carrie rather than bringing back Aiden whom we watched her brutally break his heart twice in Sex and the City.
Carrie is Aiden's Big. She messed him around and crushed him repeatedly. His feelings for her are too strong and so he keeps being drawn to her even if she doesn't deserve him. This show has her engage with two women she hurt - Natasha who's marriage (and tooth) she destroyed and Kathy, who's husband she kissed because her husband bought a television. She messes with peoples marriages and then when her husabnd dies she decides her husband was a mistake. She's awful, a consumate narcisist.
Just because she doesn't want to have kids of her own doesn't mean that she isn't interested in getting to know the teenagers her new lover has? It's shows she cares and is making an effort. Get over yourselves. You people are always so critical of Carrie. Nothing she ever does is good enough. If she wanted nothing to do with Aiden's boys. Then you would call her selfish and say that she doesn't care about him or his family. She can never win with any of you people. You people are never pleased with anything. No matter what she does. And he left the post it on her computer screen, it said "Im sorry I can't". Then Carrie and her friends went out, she got arrested, showed the cop the post-it note for sympathy and the cop let her go. Lesson: always follow your gut and never date down!

And Aiden is the one for her instead? Funny, if he was a mistake then you wouldn't have broken up with Aiden TWICE and continued to chase after him like a pathetic puppy dog. Basically Carrie is a grade A golddigger and she chased after Big's MONEY. Now that she finally has it, shes back to pining for simp Aiden.

Carrie isn't after his money but she is absolutely in love with the idea she's crafted in her head of Big, and not the actual man. He was this unobtainable crush that she thought was so out of her league but then they kept bumping into each other and suddenly he was right there. It made her desperate to keep him and was such a huge blow when he married Natasha. Big was always the fairytale, the kind that blurs out all the bad stuff because fairy-tales aren't reality. Aiden was a real relationship.

In my mind Aidan is happily married to some nice traditional lady, Big is married to some snobbish young woman who cheats on him and Carrie is still single at 60, with no dates. That's how "20 years in the life" should have gone.

This. I was completely alone for 7 years before I met my husband, and it really was the best thing. I had really negative experiences when I was younger and it took a long time to learn that I cant change for another person and I have to wait for someone who accepts me for me instead.
Women aren’t allowed to be single. If we are single and not at least trying to date people tell us we are broken and depressed and need to get out there. It’s too sad for women to be alone only men are alone to be single and heal from loss women are expected to put a happy face on and go find a man. Especially the older generation. When my mom was 19, she got engaged, and he died in a car accident, She met my dad. A few years later they got married. We’re together about over a decade he died of cancer. She remarried to my stepdad they were together 14 years, and he died of a sudden heart attack during Covid, two years after burying a man she loved for the 3rd time My moms brother actually told her she had too much room for just herself and needed to move on. My uncle, who was celebrating 50 years being married to the same woman, was giving my mom advice about her second time being widowed, and third time losing a man she loved, and about how she’s expected to find a man to look after her. Otherwise, it’s sad.
I agree with the other comments that say why Aiden? Carrie was such a lowly mean person to him. Why can’t the writers write up some new interesting guys? Like a Peter Beard type ..rugged, handsome ..I love Aiden but he is too sweet and boring for Carrie.

Just unbelievable that he would go back to her, thinking 'Third time's the charm'. Carrie is not too hard to figure out. She trashes anyone who does not put her a pedestal. I do believe any man who gets involved with this girl is just doomed. And she always blames others for her failures, her poor choices, her indecisive behavior. It just gets old and very boring. The good thing about this series is that they keep Carrie miserable and alone. Charlotte is the only one who has evolved and changed. Having a good marriage with a decent, loving husband and father, Harry loves her, but does fight when he sees her doing something he thinks she needs to be called out on. They fight for their marriage.

Reboot is cringe. In addition to the destruction of the characters, the writers and producers were simply too lazy to develop a better and original story line. Go watch the original again. Well worth it.

I did not want my former bad hair fashion and food sense with the summer of Diane splattered all over SNL one night but there it was and I know who was behind it but they had the change the name on it to make transition so they would not quote get into legal trouble yes I used to like ribs at one time but since grown out of the long skirts the hippy zotos spiral perms and those glasses had to be on the bargain rack at the thrift store the outfit I donated as well and the shoes I told you my fashion sense was bad. Just unbelievable that he would go back to her, thinking 'Third time's the charm'. Carrie is not too hard to figure out. She trashes anyone who does not put her a pedestal. I do believe any man who gets involved with this girl is just doomed. And she always blames others for her failures, her poor choices, her indecisive behavior. It just gets old and very boring. The good thing about this series is that they keep Carrie miserable and alone. Charlotte is the only one who has evolved and changed. Having a good marriage with a decent, loving husband and father, Harry loves her, but does fight when he sees her doing something he thinks she needs to be called out on. They fight for their marriage.
I only watched the show for Samantha and now she isn’t on the reboot..smh
i respect charlotte and miranda and sam cause atleast they were honest they admitted when they was wrong. someone always had to tell her not to write about them. that spoke volumes

So dull. I never really liked Aidan actually. He was just too mismatched for Carrie. And I hated how childish he acted during the whole love triangle in season 4.
Carrie only had 2 great loves in her life, Big first, then Aidan. I’m so happy they finally got together and brought Aidan back into the story ❤❤❤.
I actually don’t see nothing wrong with Aidan and Carrie only because this is what goes on in real life.. lol I seen men who was so in love with just that one person even after moving on and as soon as that woman was done completely with her situations and was tired of shitty men or whatever the case was she go to the man who chased and love her mother than she actually gives a damn about him lol..this doesn’t shock me ..a lot of people are with someone they probably don’t deserve. I like Aidan as a character, and his ex seems lovely.

Season 4 - Aidan is on time and Carrie says "10 minutes late, that's the charm of me." But here Aidan is always late. Fucking shit writers don't give a damn about anything but the bottom line.
