I don't know, man - I'm a combat vet with wide hands. I picked this up on a fluke and I love it. If you think you have to be a woman or elderly to appreciate a smooth action when you rack the thing - then I would respectfully disagree. Fits perfect in my hands, clean line of sight with the white dots... I have no gripes. You went into detail about all the features, so no point to add to it. It's practical, fires a good sized round and isn't too large to carry concealed. PLUS it didn't break the bank and came with 2 magazines. Too easy. Carry on. Great review, btw.
Bought wife one after LTC class. Shot it multiple times myself trying it out and I liked the feel and action - I bought one for myself to carry. An easy carry and very small print.
I'm 67 years old with arthritis in my hands. I had no trouble racking the slide and shooting the 380 M&P EZ. This is definitely going to be my guns for concealed carry.
FGG, yes, Mrgunsngear gives sound information about pistols, rifles, accessories etc. Do you always, play with your firearms? Shoot it yes! Play with it? Really? I know you must mean, handle it!
Mine did that too. After about 10 magazines and a change in ammo, it has stopped. Always the last round. Hickoc45 did a review of this one. His did the same thing.
♥️thank you! I'm a 54 year old granny first time gun owner and first time shooter of a Shield with a safety! I signed up for my first gun safety/shooting lessons and this RUclips channel was extremely helpful and funny😊
I watched this video shortly after it came out. I immediately ran out a d bought this pistol for my wife. People may say negative things about this 380 or 380's in general but 2 weeks ago this pistol saved my wife from an attacker. I won't go into details because it's unnecesary. Been searching for this vid ever since to say thank you! This single video was the sole reason I ran out and bought the gun that we both love.
M Callahan it will eventually become popular. It's gun snobs driving 380 into a corner because it's not a 1911 or some other piece of trash that's over priced. One guy tried telling me over a Ruger lcp to buy a Kel tec pt3a1. I told I'm I'll buy a high point over that kel tec pt3a.
Rich White oh most definitely and I live 80 minutes north of Mansfield where their made so I can get them discounted by up to $75 for buying from their direct factory shop. Just waiting to see if I want their carbine 380 or a Mossberg shockwave 12 gauge with laser and flashlight adapter.
Retired LEO... 27 yrs of shooting not including military (USMC) and when I tried this pistol I was sold. I have huge hands and this isn't a small .380. It fit my hand very well and one thing I personally look for in a conceal carry weapon is comfort. It's comfortable to carry. I have glocks (19, 23 & 36) S7W SVE Sigma .40 (Gift) Bersa Thunder .380 (1 of my favs) Taurus .380 (Pocket pistol) and the M&P Shield EZ. It's a good pistol. I injured my right hand and was still able to rack the slide and I've had zero issues with it... Don't knock it until you try one.
I'm former Navy and I purchased the M&P9 shield ez...What's your opinion of the 380 for self Defense Thanks Devel Dog glad you made it back home Brother
I too had the Bersa Thunder and loved it. After I got my EZ 380 I had to let it go. It was a neat little pistol, but compared to the ease of operation of this new one, no comparison.
My wife and I both are older and both have issues: She has fibromyalgia and I have arthritis in my primary hand. We both test fired the Shield EZ 9mm and .380 before deciding to buy them. We liked the easy to operate slide, the easy to load magazine, the easy to activate safety (both of them), and the easy to take down for cleaning features. Ultimately she preferred the .380 for less recoil, and I preferred the 9mm because it felt better shooting it. We bought both and have had them and been shooting them for awhile now and are VERY happy with the purchase. Both guns are well built and easy to maintain. I cannot recommend them enough for older shooters who may have issues with racking the slide or handing too much recoil.
My EDC now. Love it. At 74, the regular 9mm Shield is getting a little harder to rack. This EZ is only a scant larger, and conceals almost as well. My followup accuracy is better, due to softer recoil. I have 94 gr JHP on board, and a total of 4 mags. Two mags are always in a belt mounted soft mag pouch. The EZ is at my 4, and I can wear this setup all day with no problem. After 1+ year of owning and zero malfunctions, I highly recommend. Neighbors, first time gun purchasers, were considering traditional 9mm. I took them to the range and let them try the Shield 1.0, and the 380 EZ. They purchased their own EZ that very afternoon. A fabulous pistol.
I just bought this gun. Normally carry a Springfield xd 45. Too big I’m my opinion so I got this one. 380s basically the same as a 9mm but a little shorter less recoil the accuracy is there. Definitely a good conceal carry. 😎
I am a person with tons of experience with a whole lot of different firearms. I can handle a full-sized .40 just fine. But I have a boxer break on my right hand and my pinky sits crooked making my pinky and ring finger almost completely useless in gripping a pistol. I tend to stick to lower recoil pistols for the comfort of shooting aspect. It agravates me going into gun shops and people trying to convince me to buy a 9 instead of a .380. I am comfortable shooting .380 and I will continue to buy them. This weekend I am heading out to pick me up an ez as my new cc weapon. Thank you for the review on this little pew spreader. Because of the million videos I have watched I have been interested in one. With the reliability this video has shown my mind is made up. Thank you.
I have a 9mm Shield, a 686 .357 revolver and a .380 Shield. Guess what, the other two stay at home most of the time. I love my EZ Shield! Please, let the demand drive the cost of the ammo down. I'm so comfortable with this gun that I think nothing of wearing it out concealed upon my body. Thanks for the great review!
So I own a 9mm and a 380 ez. Love them both. Back story. Retired office, and x military. I was injured 30yrs in a motorcycle accident and I'm a paraplegic with bad shoulders and found these guys to be reliable and on point.
My 60-something wife rightfully feels my SW642 (j-frame) will be too much of a heavy trigger (near 11 pound trigger). I’d hoped to keep her in a hammerless, but have decided as a new shooter, and needing a light trigger I will get her this, solely on your informative and engaging video. Thx again, and yes, I subscribed.
As an instructor, I recommend S&W's M&P line over foreign brands for two reasons. 1. Malfunctions are virtually unheard of (unless the piece is damaged) 2. They are made in America by Americans. My wife can't operate the slide on my M&P 9c but she's a champ with her M&P EZ and with today's modern bullets, the 380 has become a formidable choice for self defense and CCW.
I've watched several videos that show the EZ having the same malfunction. Even American companies with a great reputation make shitty weapons. I wouldn't waste my money on one of these EZ models. I'm not blindly faithful when it comes to my family's security. What is reliable is what I buy.
@Russian Bot 5. They have a Smith & Wesson lifetime warranty which is far better than say a Taurus lifetime warranty. The time I sent my 622 back to them because it wasn't always going into battery or ejecting they put a master gunsmith on it and he signed off that it was repaired. That was over 20 years ago and the thing still shoots like a dream and never malfunctions. Got to appreciate a company that wants to make good on something if it does have a problem, something to do with pride of workmanship that is in short supply these days.
@@editedforyoursafety3045 I own firearms from just about any company or caliber you care to name, so no blind faith or brand loyalty here. This is a firearm can be operated by people who otherwise would have to rely on blind faith that someone is will be there to protect them. If it's not for you fine.
@@jaydee5156 No brand loyalty from me either. I own several S&W's. My point is still valid. This particular model has flaws so blind faith is exactly what they are relying on.
@@editedforyoursafety3045 Your point is worthless. It's blind faith when you get out of bed. It's blind faith when you drive your car to and from work. It's blind faith when you have to pull a firearm to protect yourself or your family. It's been faithful for 5000 trouble-free rounds and on round 5001 it fails. Stuff happens. A woman survived a fall from an airplane without and parachute, yet a child died during a routine visit to the dentist. A young woman killed a grizzly with a .22 rifle, yet a burgler was hit five times in the head and chest with .38+p and survived and serving time.
My wife mentioned to me that she wanted to get her CCP and immediately I started looking for guns she might be interested in. She's sensitive to recoil and she thinks little guns are cuter. Immediately i thought about Kimber Micros and such and showed her a few she was interested in. The next day, I remembered the M&P EZ and recommended she considers them. We went to the range and she liked the EZ and really only complained that the grip felt a little larger than she'd like. She loved how easy it was to load, chamber a round, and the safeties built in. She was also fairly accurate, considering it's been well over a year since the last time she shot. I rented a Kimber micro and she hated it and couldn't get a comfortable grip on it. We're open to recommendations but so far, I think the EZ is the best option.
Even as a more experienced shooter, I love the safety features and this gun as a whole to the point where I traded in my 9mm Glock 43X to swap over to this gun, put a compact green laser / flashlight combo on it and got a universal holster with spare mag carrier that would fit it with the combo in it. Only shot it twice and I tear the bullseye out of a target at 10 yards, much more accurate with it than my old 9mm or any other gun (mainly 9mm and up) that I have shot. It’s comfortable to carry and so fun to shoot at the range. PMC Bronze 90 grain FMJ for range time and Hornady Critical Defense 90 grain FTX for carry, both run through it beautifully
Picked mine up as part of a kit that came with a range bag, Shooting glasses, ear protection, and a box of ammo. (And a $50 rebate) As I get older I am having more and more trouble racking the slides back on some of the beefier guns in my collection. (Esp my 1911's) Everything in this review is spot on! S&W did their homework. My wife gave up shooting automatics because her arthritis caused her the same issues I described. We had a "range date" one night and she liked shooting mine so much that I ended up buying one for her too. She no longer carries her snubby .38. Great review and a great gun. I've stopped carrying my SiG 238, and am now using this as my EDC.
5ft 95 pounds this is a perfect firearm for me. My brother (who is SF) told me to buy this one. It is an excellent gun. 1 yr not sure home many rounds but no malfunctions. I love this gun.
I just got my EZ 380 and mine doesn't have the manual safety. I think I will like that. It feels good to hold. I see it come highly recommended for folks with not so strong hands. Us seniors, and I am 79, fit that category for sure. So I think it will fill the bill for me. And ease of loading the mag. I like that already. I think it's a winner. I bought a 9mm SCCY and it kicked way too much. It had to go. You forgot to mention the pop-up on top to show that a round is in the chamber. I like that also. Good video.
The grip safety helps a great deal when you are in a fight for your life and gun when the attacker is trying to pull the trigger while it's in your grip. This grip safety gives the owner some additional control. Some police are going to this grip safety because the number of fights that criminals try to get to the police trigger while the officer is holding it.
Every review for this gun says it’s good for women and elderly people, give me a break, this is just a great tool for anyone. I got mine for CCW, and it’s perfect. I’m new to handguns, the EZ .380 is so simple and I do appreciate the extra safety’s. I recommend this gun to everyone.
I loved my EZ so much that...I sold it! And bought the Smith & Wesson PERFORMANCE CENTER M&P EZ .380! I'm 71 and just can't handle the .45's and .40's that I used to shoot... so I am no novice. THIS pistol is perfect for me...a very experienced shooter who now has some issues.
I’m forty-two and nothing is wrong with my hands. My kid brother bought a .380 Shied for his wife because she has a hard time with slides. Hie and I both shot it and instantly bought one each fr ourselves. It’s small and slim enough to conceal and the muzzle hardly moves when you shoot it. I can put shots on target just like my Walther PDP. It’s the perfect carry/backpack gun. I don’t feel handicapped with eight rounds. Keep two spare mags. If I can’t do it with 24, I’m probably running anyways.
This is one of the best gun reviews I have seen on y outube. So funny but also you are someone who loves to shoot and knows what he is talking about. I just bought the gun and can't wait to pick it up and go to the range.
I bought one because of my arthritic fingers. Had a Glock 42, couldn’t rack the slide, so I bought the EZ. I love it. Easy to rack the slide it is fun to shoot.
70 year old with arthritis. 380 because my most likely direction of fire in a home invasion is towards neighbor 100 feet away. This Shield is a perfect fit for me.
When I got mine it was stove piping every third round or so AND the action would not lock open on the last round. I sent it to S&W for repairs and 90 days later I’ve got a functioning 380 auto that has yet (closely approaching 1000 rounds) to malfunction. So, the lesson learned from this experience is not to get discouraged if you get a lemon of a gun, rest assured that reputable gun manufacturers will always stand by their product...
I love this pistol, I got it for my wife, she hated my larger caliber guns and wouldn't shoot them. I got her this on a recommendation from the gunshop I buy my guns from. Honestly it's one of my best shooting pistols. It also gives me peace of mind knowing that my wife will always be armed now when she is not with me. I recommended this for my 76 yr old mom and some older relatives with some nagging ailments. This gun gives them the confidence that if they ever do have to use it that they in fact can and they can in fact and will in fact train with it. Nice work Smith and Wesson.
Started looking at this pistol for my daughter but liked it so much, I got one for me too and have zero issues CCW'ing it. I've been shooting regularly for 50 years and really don't consider myself a new shooter. Great pistol and good video. Thanks.
For accuracy this gun has a bit longer barrel than the Shield 9mm but not so big that you can’t carry it. I bought a shoulder holster for it and it’s my EDC. I love this gun and forget all the complainers of the grip safety it’s not a problem. Home run from the US by Smith & Wesson.
I bought this for my wife, but she hasn't started using it yet, so I shoot it some, and dam, I like this gun. It is a blast to shoot. And I can run it pretty well, too. Of course, I wish the mags held more than eight, but for me, that's not a big issue. It seems to be a sweet little carry gun.
The salesman (my son) recommended this as my first handgun. I’m a smaller guy and it just feels like an extension of my hand. With a little arthritis, the EZ loading and racking are nice.
Ive owned a taurus 380 for 5 years but only shot it once! My husband had to rack it for me, and when I shot it the casing flew back and hit me between the eyes, the gun flew out of my hand, and I screamed and never touched the thing again! Never thought I would ever be able to find a gun that didnt freak me totally out until this one! I absolutely love it, and actually enjoy shooting it. Will be my edc.
You talking to me? I guess so. About 8 years ago, I purchased a full sized M&P 9mm 1.0 (no manual safety) but didn't like the Massachusetts 10 pound trigger because it was closer to 15 pounds. So, like most people around here, I had to install an Apex kit. Now that I'm 75, with RA in both hands, the slide is a bit harder to rack. So I'm thinking this might not be the best choice for me and my elderly wife, who has never been able to fire a stock Keltec P11, without using both trigger fingers. I need an EZ .380 now. I'm a fan of the 1911 safety system since using one in the (1963) USN. Plus, my EDC is BG380 and it's not bad. I own a EasyRack Ruger LCP .22LR and really like how easy it is to operate. So, I'm thinking of replacing my go-to home defense full-size M&P 9mm with the EZ-380 2.0 Shield. (Plus my wife doesn't like shooting 9mm pistols. She's an ex air-pistol shooter). "It's better to have a gun and be able to use it, than it is to have a gun that's too hard to operate".?. Thanks for targeting us cranky old boomers with this great content! Keep up the good work!
I played with this gun at a local range and really did like it. Was not for me but highly recommend and did recommend it mine and my wife’s friend. It is no doubt as advertised, EZ Breezy grilled cheesy.
My 2 daughters and sister in law have this gun and they love it. Smith & Wesson has a winner here in the 380 market. They were not experienced shooters now they ask me ...dad when are we gonna go shooting?! I wanted them to be protected from the knuckleheads out there trying to bad things to good people. I know some say ahhhh a 380 has no knock down power. Well if some is shooting at me with one... I’m running!!! Keep up the good work. Stay safe everyone.
I just bought 1 for my girl. She's 109 lbs and 5,'2" never shot a hand gun before. I have the .45, .40, 9mm shields. FNX Tactical ..45, FNP .40 and the FNS 9MM. The .380 EZ is and awesome gun! My aunt also bought her first gun at 71 years old after shooting this and she loves it! Best .380 out there and a very close 2nd is the Berrsa Thunder .380. Also a great gun but the M&P EZ takes the gold!
Thank you for backing up my initial opinions. I have already recommended this gun to several students only on the basis of handling it at the Great American Outdoor Show. I'm glad there's a good recommendation with someone that has some trigger time. Thank you. The problem is now I have to add this to my business expenses to get one.
Yes, we are not in the same mold. My FFL recommended this to my girlfriend that has ARTHUR, AKA arthritis. Smaller hands, not a strong grip. Will be going to the range next week. Then as a new gun owner the safeties are good piece of mind for hand bag carry.
Love these Pistols. My GF has trouble manipulating normal size 9mm like Sheilds, G19, and PPQ for a few examples but this gun which my 70 yr old Pops has was a breeze to use. Even w/ all the Safety’s, which she likes, she runs this Pistol really good. Only malfunctioning I’ve seen n hers n Pops hands is there bad support hand grips n them both inadvertently hitting the magazine release button. I run this gun ZERO MALFUNCTIONS n at least have over 500rds of FMJ and JHP. Just wish ammo was less n this would be a favorite Range gun. The Performance Center is Great to.
My wife is/was recoil shy. In fact, at first she hated guns. She has come a long way. She does not like my .22 Browning Buckmark because it is "too easy". She handles my 9 mm like a champ. BUT - she has trouble racking the slide. She just does not have the strength to do it well enough to depend on it. A clerk at a gun store showed her the .380 EZ. This is the perfect fit.
I love how he says this is not a gun fighting pistol, but there are tons of gun fighting pistols that have Crips safeties and manual safeties in most gun fights are settled within 1 to 3 rounds that gun gives you 8+1 I see no problems 380 gets the job done at your normal self defense distances
I bought this fior my wife who has MS, doesn't care for revolvers, and has trouble with racking a slide on oither pistols. She absolutely loves this gun.
I am a 62 yr. old female. I shot my Shield for the first time 4th of July weekend. I love this gun. I am a new shooter and I love this gun. like the video said it is good for first timers. So there you go an opinion from a new shooter.
Just bought one for my wife who was having trouble racking another gun. She loves it and to be honest, I wound up loving it, too! So much so, that I'm getting my own next week.
Just got ours today, and I love it. I have the 9mm EZ and it is so much more difficult to rack. We really like this. It works for my smaller hands and for hubby too. We jumped at it when we saw they came out with a 380 because it gives us more of a chance of actually finding some ammo, and it will fit in my purse just fine. Good review. Thanks. Glad we found your channel.
My wife bought this as her 1st handgun over the weekend. Her and her friends where testing it out and had 1 jam in the 1st 50 rounds. But also had a bigger issue, the spring that holds pressure on the mag release cam out an jammed the magazine in it. I had to forcefully remove the mag. The spring was easy to put back in though. The jam could have been used error, I cant get it to malfunction at all myself. Also it is very accurate. I can shoot it better than my 2.0 compact. I highly recommend it. My wife loves it, and how easy it is for her to use. She now wants to shoot with me. But most importantly she will have her own personal handgun for protection that she is comfortable with.
Thank you for this feedback. My wife and I looked at this gun earlier tonight. We were seriously considering buying it for her first hand gun. I thought we should hold off due to lack of research / reviews. I found that if the gun was made before April 4, 2018 that the grip safety would move in the off position while shooting due to higher grain bullets. Smith and Wesson has put a notice out that they have acknowledged the issue and adjusted the build. I think we will go back and buy this over the 9mm Security we were comparing it to.
Yep. I'm an older man with some arthritis. Have shot 150 rounds through 3 different rental guns and that's doable, but when I imagine a self-defense situation where you're not preparing yourself with the best grip and stance, and you absolutely positively must land a hit on the first shot (and then have a few quick follow up shots that also land) .380 is looking like the best option. And this pistol seems one of the best to do it, for the reasons stated. But another contender is the Beretta 80x. The longer barrel means a better chance of hollow point expansion, and the open slide means little to no chance of stovepipe (a worry when my grip could be very loose and one-handed in a gunfight). And it's 13 rounds instead of 8 for the Shield EZ.
It’s a excellent pistol for any small frame female shooter, and like you said it’s stupid easy to rack and load and yes there is practically zero recoil!!!! Add elderly people as well
I bought this as a first pistol after 40 year absence from firearms. Chose it be cause of the reduced effort to charge, 67 at time of purchase, knowing my family history with arthritis, especially in the hands. I have now put about 400 rounds through it at the range, using whatever is available and is cheap (HA). I have only had 3 failures in all those round and I know that all were cause by my sloppy grip when firing, 2 were fte and 1 was a stovepipe. Bottom line, I love this pistol. It’s easy shooting, and simple to disassemble for cleaning. And the wife has no problem with racking or the recoil. IMHO, Smith & Wesson has a real winner.
If a person doesn't like the thumb safety, it is easily removable and Smith will send snap in plugs for the openings in the frame. The thumb safety interferes with rear trigger travel/pull. The grip safety lifts the trigger bar and allows engagement with the hammer sear. Very safe pistol with or without the thumb safety.
I am that small handed small framed woman who has a glock43. It is still difficult to rack even with proper push technique. Bought the EZ....love love love...recommend for confident handling for all the reasons he talked about.
I got my hands on one of these the week it came out at the Great American Outdoors Show in PA. I felt that it would be perfect for the Diversity Shoot 2A workshop that I host and many of the students that I instruct. I have new shooters from small pre-teens, nervous first time shooters to senior citizens and people suffering from handicaps /disabilities . It is built for the growing segment of the shooting public. I think this will be a market leader and this idea will be copied by other companies. Glad to see reviews again. Good job.
I just passed my CCW class… I already own 22 cal but for my CCW I wanted a step up and bought this. The 380 Shield and love it. It really is easy to load and hold, rack and fire. This is now my favorite pistol 👍
I am a seasoned shooter of larger caliber handguns and I love this little pistol. For an everyday carry gun I like the extra safety features. If you train with it throwing the safety is second nature and as long as you get a decent purchase on the gun the backstrap safety is not an issue. As an M&P NUT I bought one thinking if I did not like it I would just use it as a trainer for first time handgun shooters. I will still do that but I would not hesitate to carry this pistol. The 2.0 line of M&P's are outstanding weapons. Good review and honest admission of having your preconceived notions changed once you had it in hand and put rounds down range. Good work guys!
I just looked at one for my daughter. She shots my G43 pretty well but had trouble racking the slide. I was going to get a small revolver but the long double action trigger was tough for her. The ez seems like a good choice.
My mother just bought this yesterday and I cant wait to get to the range with her. My wife has the bodyguard and I am not a fan but as soon as I shoot the EZ I'm sure it will be replacing the bodyguard.
Being a veteran and disabled (R.A. stage 3-4) I have been searching for the best gun for CCP and this may fit the bill. Thanks and great video. Salute 07
Well that was a little different gun review. I’m pretty super-serious about my blaster reviews but you caught me off-guard and I was laughing. Nice review. This pistol is top on my list for my fav senior citizen. He struggles to manipulate slide racks on the 365. Earned a new sub. 😂
I just bought one and shot a hundred rounds through it today. Love it. A little larger frame than my Shield Plus and my CSX but have always like the 380 round. I’ve shot and owned the Glock 42; Kimber micro 380; Ruger LCP; Ruger LCP max; Walther PPKS; and the Keltec P-380 and the Smith Bodyguard. Of all I like this the best.
I have one and am a senior citizen with arthritis in my gun hand. This thing is wonderful to shoot and operate. Have only put about 200 rounds through it so far. My hand was still sore from prior week practice with my 642. I managed to shoot out the ten ring (no flyers) and make consistent head shots at 30 feet off hand. My girlfriend (over 70) could keep them all in the kill areas. She loved how easy it is for everything over her SIG SAUER P238 and is going to trade for it. For pocket carry I will stick to my LCP II with green laser, but the EZ is as accurate with open sights! Just a little too big. If it were Glock 42 size, but then it would loose qualities like full grip, better sight radius and low recoil. Waiting for a good EZ holster. Meanwhile, pure fun!
Combat Vet here. I hate grip safety's I got this for my wife its solid it shoots well and most important she is comfortable with it. Feels solid in my bear paws it is not a complicated weapon but I highly recommend it.
Thank you for doing this review. I am a gun guy with all the prejudices. I kept a open mind. I love this gun. I would not carry it to a gun fight. I carry it when I am running my errands. It is easy to conceal and easy to use. That is what I want to carry everyday... Easy.
I was in a motorcycle crash over 10 years ago and my left side was partially paralyzed. So when I came across this gun it was equipped with everything that I could possibly have needed when it came to feeling secure in a bad situation.
I ordered a Shield EZ for my wife, but I'm thinking about getting one for myself. I'm a 265 pound guy, but I like a slide that's easy to rack and a magazine that's easy to load.
So glad I bought this gun new shooter here and it’s absolutely great. I would recommend to go to the gun range to get the kinks out but overall super super great fun for starters 💙
It just blows my mind that the only manufacturer that can exceed 6-8 rnds is Bersa. Sig managed to get 10, 9 mic mic into a grip the same size, relatively. 😔
I don't know, man - I'm a combat vet with wide hands. I picked this up on a fluke and I love it. I have one and I love it!
agreed, easy to carry even in shorts (it’s hot AF here in AZ)
Bought wife one after LTC class. Shot it multiple times myself trying it out and I liked the feel and action - I bought one for myself to carry. An easy carry and very small print.
Has become my daily carry now especially in summer. Conceals easy in shirts and tee shirt
Thanks for your service Joe! I also picked this gun up
I'm 67 years old with arthritis in my hands. I had no trouble racking the slide and shooting the 380 M&P EZ. This is definitely going to be my guns for concealed carry.
Robert Cooper hey mr cooper. Im looking to purchase one for my 80yr old mother. Is this something you feel a woman of her age could rack
Haha i just saw him rack it with 2 fingers
Charles Thrailkill I’m 70 4’11” and had ZERO trouble racking it! That’s why I bought it! She might like one of the small revolvers.
@@HardHeadMilitary I am 72 with arthritis and I can rack it easily. I love mine.
This gun won me over too. Honestly I think it's a great option for the majority of gun owners out there.
Mrgunsngear Channel it’s really hard to hate on it once you’ve played with it and shot it
FGG, yes, Mrgunsngear gives sound information about pistols, rifles, accessories etc. Do you always, play with your firearms? Shoot it yes! Play with it? Really? I know you must mean, handle it!
Jerry A I can’t roll my eyes hard enough right now.
Wesley Husband huh. Did not see that at all. Sounds like the mag springs are wicked tight.
Hopefully this gun is popular enough to drive the price of .380 ammo down from the stratosphere and back in line with 9mm.
At least a Hi-point goes bang when needed to and, if it doesn't, it can double as a makeshift club!
YES!! Only reason I haven't purchased is because I already have a couple 9mm's and ammo for .380 is out of line
I have a Bodyguard .380 and I reload my own ammo for it. 100 rounds for about 12 bucks. Only way to go.
I'm former Navy and I purchased the M&P9 shield ez...What's your opinion of the 380 for self Defense
Thanks Devel Dog glad you made it back home Brother
I have this and bersa thunder 380 love them both i havent shot the m&p sw yet though
The Bersa Thunder’s triggers are some of the best in any gun. Really underrated.
I absolutely love the 380 shield EZ.
I love mine also.
My EDC now.
A fabulous pistol.
got this gun as a Christmas Gift from my daughter and I love it. I am 72 years old and love going to the range to shot. Great for older people.
I just bought this gun. Normally carry a Springfield xd 45. Too big I’m my opinion so I got this one. 380s basically the same as a 9mm but a little shorter less recoil the accuracy is there. Definitely a good conceal carry. 😎
Stopped by to watch as I'm considering the EZ for my wife. Your style and delivery just earned a sub. Very well done.
I'm a 49 year old single woman and just got this gun for my birthday l. I love it! Great video!
Try the Sig p238 also...soft shooting and smaller in size, both really nice Guns!
After watching my new shooter wife struggle to rack most slides, we tried this and it is perfect for her. And I can trust it’s a good gun as well.
Being a totally new shooter, I'm actually a fan of the redundant safety features until I get more experienced.
How great would it be to have 1000 rounds to practice with! I’m on several waiting list for ammo.
Thanks.
This is one of the most thorough, fair and honest reviews I have seen. Well done fellas.
Trying to bid on 2 of these right now. One for the wife and and extra one to rotate into carry. Absolutely excellent review. 👏
6 feet 250#. 16 years policing and love the shield EZ. Too many people are too TactiCOOL to just enjoy a nice easy shooting gun.
The grip safety is actually one of the things I love about the gun lol and others like it
Got my wife one of these for her birthday and she LOVES it. As a result, she is shooting much more often than she did with a bigger gun.
I just bought a Like New EZ .380 for $280. Will take it to the range ASAP with GECO and Remington ammo.
I love your relaxed style.
This is a fun gun to shoot targets with. It's fun and for starters. Guns vary and this gun is for starters.
This is my first gun. I love it. A very easy first gun to learn how to shoot.
I hope this pushes the 380 market to make more guns
I hope it’s popularity pushes the ammo price down to 9mm level!
I bought my wife one and she loves it. I liked it so much I bought the 9 MM model.
how do the 2 EZ's compare? Is 9mm ammo easier to find/cheaper?
I just bought this gun for all the reasons you mentioned even though I own 2 other 380’s
My wife and I recently purchased one of these and really enjoy it as a first pistol
Wife couldn’t rack most pistols. Had no problems with this model. Shot great and we appreciate the numerous safety features for a daily carry weapon
Weasel 84x and THATS a great thing. Happy wife happy life lol
Once I saw your hat, I said to myself "he's gotta be from the methuen/nh area". Great video by the way. Thanks for the review.
Add elderly people as well
I have a Glock 45 and this gun and I enjoy shooting this more. But I love my Glock but this thing was easy to use and even teach someone to shoot.
I wish that the tabs to pull the follower down were a, standard. Make it a lot easier to load the mags
I just bought this absolutely love it
I bought this as a first pistol after 40 year absence from firearms.
My wife loves this piece, and I find it easy to cc and shoot. Great sights, reliable, and great for a follow on shot when/if required
Thanks for the review. My wife is interested in getting a first gun and this is the one she was drawn to.
My wife Loves It...... Great Piece.....Easy to use and handle. We are a Glock and H&K Family.
I just bought this gun last month and have only shot about 250 rounds but I love it. I'm looking forward to checking the laws and carrying.
This is hilarious and very insightful. We just got one and this reflects many of the reasons.
My mother just bought this yesterday and I cant wait to get to the range with her. My wife has the bodyguard and I am not a fan but as soon as I shoot the EZ I'm sure it will be replacing the bodyguard.
Just bought this today. First gun. Never shot before. I did my research. So excited to protect myself and my sons
Bought a bus for my wife. Zero regrets. Buying one for my mom next. Great gun
"This is my gunfighting pistol!" I love this gun! So comfortable to shoot!
...and yes, I am an old fart. Tired of 9mm beating me up!
Ernest Jahn look at T5 Custom Kydex they have holster options for this
Ernest, I got a great IWB holster for it from TT Gunleather.
Combat Vet here. I hate grip safety's I got this for my wife its solid it shoots well and most important she is comfortable with it. Feels solid in my bear paws it is not a complicated weapon but I highly recommend it.
I want one because I'm setup to reload for it already. Total kick ass range gun for the family to enjoy.
