So I recently got an e-mail reminding that my fees for my 3rd term at medical school are due soon! And every time I pay these fees, look at the amount and I'm always like woah that is a lot of money!
So it kind of just sparked a thought - wonder how much medical school cost and how much it could've been in the other places I was thinking

Singapore also has Duke NUS graduate medical school (also a post grad programme) that has similar admission criteria to the US. it's a 4 year course , used to be about S$40k/year for locals, and S$50k/year for foreigners (more grants hence cheaper than NUS undergrad course for foreign students). prices might have gone up a little in recent years though

In Scotland, you get your first four years of university free. If you wanted to do medicine as a post-grad, it will cost you £1820 per year as a home student
They have a Scottish levy for internationals which is significantly higher than English and welsh medical schools… basically the internationals pay for the home students lol

In Saudi Arabia it’s 6 years of medical school + one year of internship.
Not only is it free they pay you to study
For the first 6 years they pay you 300$ every month + give you very cheap dorm if your parents don’t live in the city.
For the inter year you get a month salary of about 2600$.

i understand all of the points made, however, personally about the point of giving up time, i don't see what else i would be doing if medicine and expanding medical knowledge is my goal. if i want to buy milk i don't mind spending the time that'll take me to buy milk. i'm not sure if i'm making sense but yeah i'm an aspiring medic currently in yr 12 studying A-Levels and will be applying to medicine this summer. wish me luck :)
I am also a med student, studying doctor of medicine at 4th year here in Cambodia cost about 3000$ per year. Not included with the cost of house rent, food, and everyday spending.
In India some institute costs as low as 100 dollars for complete course and yes South Asia's best medical College is AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) where the course fee is 90 dollars with hostel, Food and transportation included.
As well as electricity bill.but to get there you have to get atleast 99.999999999999999999999 and so on percentile bcoz of fuckin competetion.
But avg. Medical course fee is around 1000 dollars.

CAN YOU DO LIKE BOOK RECOMMENDATION FR ALL THE YEARS IN MEDS SCHOOL . DO UK MED STUDENTS FOLLOW STANDARD TEXTBOOKS OR JUST LECTURE NOTES ?
It's free in Turkey but we have public universities, which are relatively better in education because of the diversity of patient background and quality of educators, and private universities. Public ones are free for Turkish citizens and of course there is an international fee but cannot even be compared with those numbers O.o whereas private ones are totally expensive.. and predictably getting into public ones is waaaaaaay harder

It costs 7000 yuan (1050 USD) per year in a Chinese top medical school while the total cost is 8400 USD. Wow, It is really unaffordable to exchange to UK.

@@danielgarcia-vg5bl there's been a lot of articles about it, you can find them on like Sydney Morning Herald and The Guardian and SBS. But basically a lot of international students have been stuck outside of Australia due to covid restrictions or haven't been able to get their visas back.
Medicine is not good money in UK
in asian countries and some european like germany college for any degree is free so your statement at 6:50 is not correct, but still a good video overall 100
