AGM or Absorbed Glass Matt batteries, whether they be flat plate or spiral like the Optima are tested in the same manner. So differentiating between the two types is a redundancy that isn't required. Just test as an AGM. I will bring this to the attention of my representative. Zip~
@@ZippoVarga Thanks, I guess voltage per cell is the same for flat or spiral, only CCA might vary. While we're talking about it CCA is a spec of a batteries performance at 0 degrees F, and CA is a spec of a battery performance at 32 degrees F. 99% of the battery testing videos on RUclips have been bogus because people have been plugging in the CCA spec and then testing at room temperature which give overly optimistic readings since everyone should know that warmer batteries yield higher cranking amps. Therefore unless you are going to refrigerate a battery before testing the better test would be to supply the CA spec when testing a battery at room temperature or outdoors IN THE WINTER or as close to 32 degrees F as possible. Even the manufacturers of the testers videos entirely miss this point!
