- Hi everyone. Build guides are not something I've ever done before, however I've received a lot of requests to make one for this build. Please let me know if you have any further questions about the mechanics or anything else for the build as I'm sure I've missed something. Critiques are welcome, please let me know how I could make future videos better. Always appreciated if you subscribe, I try to put out 1B+ DPS videos each league.
I will try to make another version of this build that uses completely different gear and mechanics, as the prices of this gear has been going up and up over the last few days.

Thanks for the build guide, now i know exactly how it works. Just tested my items on POB and with some adjusts my totem goes from 9k hp to 19k hp. Probably a HUGE damage increase, best of luck to you.

What pantheons do you typically use when mapping vs bossing?
I'm working on an update video to make the build tankier, as this is a concern for some of you. Currently at 50k ehp without molten shell and retaining over 700m DPS. Also working on a bow crafting guide. I'll have both of those out shortly. Thanks again to everyone asking great questions.
That's dope! Thank you so much for putting your time into this. I was just about to ask if you just essence spammed your bow until it hitted +1 gems, but i'll wait for the crafting guide video.
I'd love some tips on the bow craft if possible because all I can come up with is just essence spamming for cast speed and +1 and eventually redeemer slam and pray.

Hi nice build! I'm already working my way to finish this build. However, I can't still see where the ethereal knives come in to play. Where do I socket it? I know I'm missing a simple thing here. Also, can I substitute perfect crime with chain reaction? Thank you!

I did the build with Jugg and was super tanky but I hate the slow pace of the Jugg. Def gonna start over and do a Trickster! Thanks a lot for that build guide.
how is the clear with jugg? Any poison or prolif stuff?
@@semih4827 I was just around level 70 but yeah it was fine ! had Whitering step / Plague Bearer / Herald of Ash and Fatal Toxins on the tree. It's DS_Lily's build. But she plays HC so it was focussed on tankiness and I want damage haha

Hi, currently trying this out, in process of leveling a character and once u equip bow with that totem mastery, you literally 1 tap everything lol, disgusting haha. Appreciate the build!

One thing to add is your build has has 90% reservation on the helm but cant you just get +1 boots socket enlighten and have your auras in that . with level 3 enlighten and a plus one ammy its enough to keep up all auras.

If someone can't afford forbidden flame/ flesh with chain explosion yet, would you recommand to start as saboteur?
What if we dont have chain reaction, how we can calculate '' All Traps Hitting '' section ?
Looking at doing a RF Exploding Totem Jugg build. Would Trickster be better? Kind of like good bossing and VERY defensive, but don't care too much about clear speed.
Think the point with the trickster is that you dont need defenses cause thjey die so fast
How did you craft the carnal armour chest? It seems impossible to hit +400 ev and +80 es
What is the damage like without chain reaction?
By the way, do you know how much damage you have to deal to an über boss to reach the ailment threshold?
Slavedriver were 8.5 div yesterday and when I tried to buy it earlier today there was only 8 on trade and they start at 14 div. RIP
I had been working on a version of this, but the prices climbed faster than I made currency, only catching up now. Question, have you calculated Enhance vs Multiple Totem Support? I'm running with EB so the trickster Leech solves skill cost issues. To compensate the life Regen I grab a cluster with elemental leech. The gloves slot for me became Asenath's, so I have actually good clear. For bossing I achieve 100% cold convert with rare gloves.
I hadn't had a drop worth more than 90c until.. the same day slave drivers hit 10 divines.. I dropped the base version from a trap room in temple though, snagged a vial for 3 div.
Yeah those sound like great substitutions given the current market! Asenath's are also a good call for clearing. Multiple totem support actually does not stack with the 100% chance to summon a second totem with the bow and ascendency point, so it's definitely better to use enhance if you have both totem mods on your bow.
would like to know what pantheons you're using/ how things should be socketed because your setup in the video compared to pob seem a bit different.
also curious about mana situation early? nvm figured out that the gloves make you use life
at the start, at like lvl12 the skill costs a sh*t ton of mana even with clarity so ill use rejuv totem instead(ps. u can make a low lvl wand easy with the forges, just buy a high lvl wand with the totem node and merge with low lvl wand, keeps the low lvl and a chance to keep the totem node to)
That's good to know! Rejuv totem is totally fine for leveling. You can also use doedre's rings into praxis rings when leveling for mana cost issues.

If you got a cheap one with 400% and the 70% chance for two totems, it would probably be a good starting step.
No one and I repeat no one needs 1 bill damage. Even 300mil is more than anyone needs so yes it's fine lol

I got slavedriver's, but I am running into life regen issues during bossing. Feels like I need to have a life flask up constantly. Is there any way to solve this, other than life regen? I have a corrupt implicit on the boots that regens life as I move, but that doesn't help with a lot.
Sorry this is late. Sounds like you need to get leech somewhere on your build.
Does on hit effects works with the explode? For example life on hit?
I haven't tested it but it should. It's why we take the instant leech passive, as it's essentially life gain on hit. Most sources of life gain on hit in the game are specific to spell or attack hits, so he conscious of that if you test it out.
Ice Trap is not usable until Level 28? So what do you level with until then?
Stormblast mines with orb of storms is a safe bet. If you have a ton of gem levels, explosive trap is great too.
For a budget without the combined double totem and explode nodes I figured multiple totems would work, does the damage loss on the gem affect the explosion damage?
no it does not. you just lose out on the extra damage from enhance.

I can not figure out how you have hatred determination herald of purity herald of fire and discipline. I have enlighten 3 in boots with +level to socketed gems and the helm enchant for hatred 30 percent efficiency
If you don't have the helmet corruption you will need to put your auras in a 6link chest with enhance
Charisma was the problem I didn’t have it
since i had a fractured bow so i can do ex-slam on it. DO you have any idea if the increased spell damage on bow affected the damage too?
Spell damage does not affect the totems

Whats the recommended amount of divines approx. before switching to this build?
It's hard to say with the costs of things inflating. If you get a weaker bow, no forbidden flame/flesh, but keep the gloves, you could probably get it going for 20 divines.

yo im going insane as i dont get the totem explode node on any of my bow drops. Is it tied to bow ilvl? tied to my level? (leveling my rejuv totem exploder so its only lvl 45).
Im picking up every bow, crucible them and no reduced life/totem eplode on death so far.
You can find the explode mod as early as level 5. Just bad RNG unfortunately.
@@EvolveEH Unlucky then. Still using TR at lvl 45 when I see people killing 1st trial at lvl 20 with explode node is frustrating lmao
@@951001ify the node is quite rare , I farmed it in ssf and spend like 5 hours in campain zones running to crucible and cooking bows
hoqw many bows have you done? Ive only done around 50. only one with 400% :C
@@Frey_64 After farming at least 100 bows/cooking them finally it dropped. It was the 400% node on 3rd stage, took forever also to get there just to see as a 4 link rejuv detonate does around the same as my TR i was using before lmao
Is the bow required or can you use a 2H with totem explodes?
you can use a 2H melee weapon , but you lose out on a quiver since the weapon's damage is irrelevant and the quiver is 20% phys as extra cold , thats a decent chunk
@@voidroad I'm running it with a Cane of Kulemak with +3 to support gems and +14% gem quality. With awakened empower and enhance, my devour totem is lvl 27 with +68% quality

It can be a mapper or only bosser?
It's not the fastest for maps, some changes can be done to be a little tankier and have more clear for maps. There is a clip on my channel that shows how the build maps with its current setup.

How do you are able to use Determination, Heralds, Hatred and Discipline? Without Discipline i only get ~10% mana left. On your POB Discipline+Enlighten is on a link separeted from the other auras. Isn't you suppose to have all auras/heralds on the same link as Enlighten?
What pantheons you running?
Currently using avoid stun if stunned recently, and bleeding while moving doesn't cause you to take extra damage. To be completely honest I've overlooked pantheons and will take a deeper look later

can i play pathfinder instead of trickster ?
pathfinder goes poison and prolifs, trickster does hits without DoT

You could do that as well. The chain reaction jewels were only 2 divines total when I made the build so I didn't explore that option. You could try to get a cheap forbidden trickster flame/flesh as well

why enhance and not multiple totems support? isn't that a chunky damage multiplier on top of everything if each trap casts multiple totems or it doesn't interact in this way? should give you way more damage than enhance if it does.
there is a 70% chance to summon two crucible node and a 30% chance totem mastery
@@Tehblood ohhh I see makes sense that those would be the same mechanic same as say double damage and stack with each other, I didn't even think about it and assumed it would just summon an additional one anyway
@@maiwaifuisdead basically multi totem is the budget option as you only need the explode mod but you are missing 48% increased life (level 4 enhance+3 from bow)

you can really run it on jugg if you want and have more than enough damage for all content while being immortal

Mana issues are covered in the build guide. You either need slavedriver's hands, or run EB once you get the ES leech ascendancy passive.

No damage at all? or low damage? If you have no damage at all, maybe you've taken ancestral bond. If your damage is low, I'd recommend giving the build guide another listen as I explain the mechanics on getting more damage.
Having a hard time getting resists, is Torchoak step really needed or can I focus more on life/res by just missing out on 20-30% totem life?
You can definitely replace torchoak's. Get the eater of world's implicit that gives extra physical damage as extra cold damage on any pair of boots, and the damage will be close.

why trickster? i saw zizaran and others using pathfinder. Pros and cons ?

I think you're overstating the difference in clear speed, but I will say that pathfinder is tankier. I am working on increasing the defenses of this build for anyone who wants that.

The helmet is expensive as hell... Can we drop some auras for not needing the corruption? Or maybe is there a way to solve mana reservation problems without the corruption? ty :)
Does the totems need to be placed în bow?
No. Bows are dex bases and the setup has alot of green gems. Easy to color
In his setup his bow is increasing the level of gems socket in the bow, so yes. In theory the totems could go in chest aswell, but there are not that many mods on bows that scale the builds damage so you might as well craft a bow like he did and put the gems in the bow.
For this build, yes. You get a lot of levels from your bow.

Nope, this bow has 600% on it.
in pob - you have Ethereal Knives gem - why and how this uses? for what it needed?

I'm not. It's explained in the configs section. It's used to estimate punishment over the duration of the boss life.

I don't know if you were the first one to make a build out of exploding totems but if you are, 3.21 belongs to you 😂
The build is strong but the video is fake, PoB does not know how to count this damage! And many support stones do not strengthen this build and stand just like that.

the main issue on elementalist is that the damage from explode totem comes from casting 5 traps per cast each summoning 2 totems , so effectively 10* base damage per cast
the base damage is quite high tho so its definitely doable as ignite but you will not get anywhere near the damage of hit builds or poison as the only really viable damage boost would be enhance for increased totem life
I have to test the interaction with runebinder , but if your maximum totem number is 0 maybe you can avoid using traps at all and just self cast the totem which will instantly boom from being above totem limit
so really its a case of "it would be good~ish because the base damage is broken but no support gem really helps " (maybe in a voideye ring for +5 level)
