People will say manual looks so much better but considering how much time auto saves and how well it gets most of the stuff right is truly incredible. Also the final product can be polished by hand.
Extract phonemes is just like every other tool in any program, you need to know when to use it. When the camera is far away from the character speaking then this works fine, but for close-ups it's better to do it manually.
i tried to remake Meet The heavy since it was maybe the shortest Meet The Team video and the first second the line went "I am Heavy Weapons Guy" my heavy model turned from shocked to mad and he did not lip sync
Remaking Meet The Heavy on SFM is really easy, all you need to do is open the folder called "Meet the Heavy" when you launch, then when it's loaded up you click "export" then "export movie" For legal reasons, this is a joke.
Just animate it lmaooo. Lip syncing is one of the easiest parts of animation, in traditional and 3D. Just time your words, make a chart of the letters synced with the times. Then just make a key frame for each major sounding letter of each word. Then add your splining/in between and you are literally done. It’s not that difficult
That doesn't sound easy at all. I don't need a chart to remember how to make someone walk, beyond the one time I used one, which was the first time I did it. And it doesn't matter that my first time was only 4 days ago.
the whole purpose of this is to save time and its probably targeted towards people who are just starting out. Don't belittle others with stuff like "its not that difficult" can be really demotivating for some. this video could also serve as a good first step into manual lip sync animating
Only few models have phenomene group. The pro are saying: do manual lipsync for perfect sync what is nonsense if we need simple lipsync quickly without spending an hour on one sentence. Many models have HL2 FACS control you have to enable in element viewer. In S2FM it's even worse
I'm going to import the funny Pinoy VALORANT trashtalk audio to SFM. that would be funny as hell. Featuring a BLU Sniper trashtalking a Chamber (VALORANT) in Pinoy
@@Daveeemichel don't worry i know a fix. when you're importing your model make sure its hwm. To make sure it's hwm, you have to sort by tf_movies and for example player\hvm\demo.mdl if you're using a workshop mod then i'm not sure about that one. Hope this helps.

Quick, Straight to the point, Simple, Efficient. I thank you for this.
Glad ya could enjoy it!
@@probrobosnian Can it also apply to non-SFM audios as well?
It's extremely broken sometimes, it's better to make it yourself.
Sounds like it would be busier to do it yourself for when it doesn't work, instead of just doing it yourself the whole time.

Use phenomes and then polish it up. It's a time saver

bro i think my sfm is broken it still does nothing
I think you are using the tf2 model, not the tf_movies model, the normal tf model has terrible facial flexes

Yeah, but it doesn't work as good, but it still looks nice
@@scorpiospawn9432 Still looks nice?
@@paulle1899 doesnt look as good since it still has to guess what the audio is saying, meanwhile official audio has text to tell sfm what it says
Why does only soldier work but others not

Hi can you make a zoomed in video i cant really see the text
but. if you are gonna use a tf2 model be sure it's a hwm/tf_movie model or it will not work (2 year's late)
Big thanks on clearing that up. For a moment I thought I had something wrong here with my software and that I had to restart it lol

how do i edit the keyframes of the phonemes to make them stepped?
Click on the frames you want to step, then click on the button that looks like a step.
🙏
I'm using soldier and it doesn't work. Any idea how to fix this?
You need to enable show waveform and it has to be selected during export phenomene.
Does this work on other models, with custom voice lines?
it still doesnt work though
it wont work for me

I love you
As far as I can tell this didn't do anything, does it only work for certain models?
I think this only works for the built-in models. Sorry dude
@@probrobosnian damn, well thank you anyway. I ended up going with a different model without a mouth so I wouldn't have to animate it lol

Easy
it's doesn't work. i do everything showed on tutorial. am i doing something wrong?
I think it only works with models already in SFM. So TF2 characters I think.
And I think it only works with lines already in SFM by default maybe.
Does not work
this did not work
Could you upload a recording to your channel so I can see what's wrong. I just tried this in sfm and it worked for me.
