My dad's a chef & he used to do shit like that all the time and whenever someone would see him they'd be like 💀😅 lmaoo
My dad is a farmer and the skin on his hands is sooo tough. Sometimes he'll ask me to do something, like untie some twine that has little strands of metal in it, and I just wouldn't be able to do it. Some of the things he has to do are just so freaking painful for me and they don't seem to bother him at all, because he has had those callouses since he was a child.
Just realized Chris is the Trixie and Andrew is the Katya of this whole dynamic... and now i can’t stop seeing it. 😅

All the flour foods have been a fail for me. But there r some cool things that u can add to ur diet, like nutritional yeast.
@@JNMKlover I actually do have nutritional yeast! I watch a lot of vegan channels to try to give me ideas on good foods to try to make with my toddler who doesn't like meat. The flour ones I've never tried but they look fun to make even if they don't work!

Allllllright, I’ve officially been talked into making seitan for the first time tonight. I hope I don’t suck at it because ya girl has wanted to go vegan for years and felt too overwhelmed to commit.
Lead with ur heart. I've been vegan, WAY before the internet, books, and cooking channels. There r some restaurants that will offer vegan options. Blaze Pizza now has vegan crusts. Also, don't be too hard on yourself. Once u pay $8 for monk fruit, u will have for a bit. So the cost seems overwhelming, but u can make a pantry. Most brands have ingredients early on, and u can do a Google search. Vegan cheese is not the yummiest, IMHO, but u do get used to it. Don't boil the vegan weiners, cook on BBQ or in fry pan. Better flavors. There r also alot of grocery stores in US, if ur here, that have vegan sections. Also, I reach out to companies for coupons. U can do like a Light Life coupon search.

you guys are literally so funny together and i want to be friends with you and chris so bad but i honestly just had to comment to say how genuinely impressed i am with you in this video andrew. i started watching forever ago with the cooking with andrew and now we wait and the mashing two foods together and every move/new apartment and i have just enjoyed watching your videos for so long and to see your growth in everything you do and who you are as a person. you’ve clearly shown over the years you’re good at cooking but the skill you show in this video and the attention you show each dish is so natural and genuine. i don’t know anything about cooking but u can just see how it’s effortless to you and just natural instinct. to cook that many dishes, to be cooking multiple in depth dishes at the same time and be showing each one the same amount of attention and detail, and to be cooking all of these dishes as vegan/vegetarian/substituted is beyond impressive and i just want to say i’m extremely proud of who you’ve become and also say that i’m sorry bc now that i’m at the end of this comment i’m realizing how fucking stoned i am and that this might be wack as fuck but also i don’t care bc i want to send you love and support and smoke with you guys 🥺🥺💖💖💖🦋🦋🦋

My family added a bit of salt in with the brown sugar butter topping on the marshmallow sweet potatoes this year and it was my favorite part of the meal. Never been a fan but that bit of salt changed my life. I already want it again.

An easy (/easier) way to do that seitan is to roll it in a clean kitchen towel, put it with broth and all in an oven dish, and put it in the oven (180°C) for like an hour or two. The towel will soak up the broth, keeping the seitan covered in broth, and if you turn it over halfway through you get an even covering/soaking. You can also cover with tin foil to make sure the broth doesn't all evaporate, and add more broth halfway through if necessary.
