Fallout: Equestria the Brief Summary - Part 1: The End of the World as We Know It

- A summery of the fan fiction "Fallout Equestria" by kkat. Part 1 discusses the world before the story, laying out the lore in approximate chronological order while briefly going over key events to show how the world became the Wasteland. Many events are left out because this cliff notes version of events is still as long as an Episode of Star Trek the Next Generation.
There is no mention of events from Project Horizons because that story is not canon to Fallout Equestria. It is Fanfic^2, like everything aside from Fallout Equestria itself. One I have not read. If you would like to create a timeline including Project Horizons material, you are welcome to use this video to do so by splicing in your own explanations when necessary.

Yeah, 100% accurate. I love it. It really shows why the Zebra didn't back down at all and just how terrible things were for the Equestrian side.
Luna stepping up to that throne was as you put it "The Single Worst Thing".
It would be realy cool to read a story about the war itself from the Equestrian and Zebrican government's POVs. I'd write it, and heck, I could write it, but the problem with the "why don't you do it?" argument is that creating a thing and enjoying an already existent thing are very different things.

Can't Remember much of it now but it's a read.

Fuck yeah! I'm so happy people are still fans of Fallout Equestria to this day, nearly a decade later.
Wow, I have read this story four times and yet I have never realised some implications of the prewar events. Like how the death of Zecora blindsighted Equestria to a lot of zebra plans. Or how zebras decided to launch the apocalypse specifically because of the alicorn project. Excellent stuff.
I love it, I've read FoE 5 times and this is very accurate, saves me from having to explain the lore for people who keep forgetting it.

Honestly this is one of the most complete and concise explanations of The End, before the beginning, trying to explain the history of this story without completely boring or botching it is hard. I think that Trixie bit was funny, I feel she was more expendable, so an okay 'first try'. The Cheese Sandwich part made me almost choke on my soda, very funny. Nice work, checking out part 2.

No problem, man! That's what this is for. Almost exactly. I am working on an FoE fic and my editor didn't want to read FoE (understandable, it's long as fuck), but he has lots of down time at work to listen/watch stuff.

You know, I've spent so much time with project horizons that it's weird to think that golden blood and the OYA aren't a part of the original Canon because they fit so well into it lol, along with Little details (never made sense to me that little horn was caused by chemical weapons grenades We never see anywhere else outside of the mega spell version in canterlot, So makes sense to me that it was something a bit specia)
Anyway great video, fallout equestria is a story that shaped my perspective on storytelling a lot and introduced me to the idea of fanfiction in general, So I'm glad to see that people still are interested in it
I like the idea the OG story's explanation was what was the popular and generally thought of answer, for those who weren't involved. The general public BELIEVED the OG story's version, when Project Horizon's was the real deal.
I read there are 5 fan fic titles in Fallout Equestria that are considered cannon to foe and acknowledged by Kkat. They are; Fallout Equestria, Project Horizons, Pink Eyes, Murky 7 and, Heroes.
If that's true, she has not said so herself, and that would counter things she has said multiple times, in multiple places, across 10 years.
I appreciate you being accurate while also adding some humor into it.

This was interesting, even to someone totally familiar with the original story and all it's details.
You laid out the primary and even secondary lines of the interwoven tale quite well. Well enough that someone not familiar with the setting can get a mental grasp upon the topic.

Didn't the mane six come up with the function of the ministries themselves? I thought Luna just gave them carte blanche to use the crown's resorces to help the war effort how every they could. That why Fluttershy was able to get away with her shenanigans.

Altho the book is long is it any good to read? (I heard its quite vulgar and gorey)
I mean, it generated its own subfandom that’s still producing content years after the original was published.
But if you’re concerned about wasting time reading something you might not enjoy in the end, I’d recommend listening to the audiobooks of at least the first few chapters, then see if the writing style is to your liking.

The Company Four Stars, the Pony Company that ran the monorail systems in Manehatten, Zebra sympathisers? Didn't they play a small part in the smuggling of Zebra spies and Mega Spells into Equestria?
