Got one a few months ago for my 39 mile round trip commute to work here in Fairbanks, Alaska with big hills, and doing lots of riding on the weekends. Amazing to do a 40 mile ride and still have lots of battery. I have put 1600 miles on it and replaced the chain twice as it got stretched out of tolerance, which is to be expected with a heavy ebike and heavy rider with loaded paniers. I love how everything seems to have a perfect balance. I also had to bleed the rear brake as it got soft which is easy enough to do. It makes commuting a TOTAL riot! Got one flat in the rear tire but had green slime in it so I could air back up and make it home to fix the flat. Will upgrade to higher quality tires after the riding season.
I also purchased a Biktrix Stunner X 6 at the same time. It is a mid-drive and the Fabulous hub drive is way better. I don't like how the Biktrix has only about a 25 mile range and I don't like the assist in the crank as it creates a failure point with a broken chain, and after only a few weeks the rear wheel bearing failed. Biktrix is sending a new wheel and indicated the rear bearings have had about a 1% failure rate. Although Biktrix customer service seems good and much more responsive then Fabulous there is no comparison when it comes to quality. I wish Fabulous well as they grow and develop their customer service as the EMX Extreme is an incredible product.

I think it’s a great choice you are making. I currently have the Fabulous e-bikes Trail Sport Z750 which I love. I have done over 2400 km’s (1500 miles) on this bike with no issues whatsoever. It’s now winter so my riding is over for the year but next Spring I’m going to upgrade to the Dual EMX Extreme

Must be the export version. Canadian bikes are 48 V. At least Havoc and Road Warrior models are 48 Canadian 60V USA. But the top speeds in usa for those are 35-38 mph.

Did you mention the controller amp? Some have 17 amp and some 22 amp dual controllers.
