The First Loop is basically Black Label/White Label boss pattern. Using HYPER just makes it harder And then Second Loop basically goes: "So.. wanna use Hyper?"
Pretty close to what he normally says: “I’d like to say “it’s been a pleasure,” but it’s time for you to die. Our 1000 year struggle/fight will end. Nothing will come to help you. Let me see how far you can go. It’s better to die.” Last part being the catchphrase of the series.
@@redmage8719The main enemy force in this game is the same army from Dodonpachi that was secretly made by the colonel, just reawakened after being defeated then sealed. So the “colonel” in the death label is more of a remnant AI of him. EXY learns the truth about him and the army when she enters their network in her ending. You’re also using the same ships dug back up, so he wants to see if you’re good enough to settle the score like the last protagonist that defeated him with those ships.
@@redmage8719Yeah unfortunately most of it is in japanese or out of the game. The first english explanation was in the iOS ports of all things, which pretty much summarize all the stories in one page from the title screen. There’s honestly not that much to the dodonpachi story, it’s the usual shmup thing of just never explaining it fully to begin with.
it was made as an extra for the best of the best to have fun with. Even black label wasn't expected to do so well and it was thought of as an extra, but that turned into the definitive way to play the game. Originally the devs intended for white label to be the main experience
6:23 This is the TRUE challenge of the death label! No extra lifes, one and done!

TAS
『ハイパー発動時の弾消し?』
『そんな物はいらん!!』
『ボス出て来る前にハイパー発動!』
やっぱTASだとこういう意味不明な動きになるんだな
あ、自機の話です

What is the Colonel saying in this game? I can't read Japanese.

@@kylele23 Why does the Colonel want the pilot dead anyway? Does he have some kind of beef with him?

@@kylele23 There is so much left unexplained in the Dodonpachi series that I ended up dropping it completely a long time ago.

Death Label just seems very badly designed.
