Thanks Brandon for being so transparent. Really sorry to hear about your father, I recently lost mine on Dec.31st last year. He was only 48.smh I'm always having dreams and reflecting on our relationship and wishing I would have done a little bit more. This video is really heavy, you make a lot of great points. I myself have taken some really hard hits in my life, really hard. Gang affiliations, h.s. drop out, partying, being with a bunch of different girls, drugs etc. I'm only 2 years younger than you so we're in the same generation era. My life was going down hill really fast, I was in a very very dark place. I then gave my life to Jesus and have never looked back. Not trying to preach to you or sway your beliefs, but man.. my life did a 180 since I've given my life to Jesus. I'm not religious at all, I just have a real relationship with him. Since this began my whole world has been on the up and up. A few stumbles here and there, but I never fall because I have the father as my safety net. And most importantly I have peace knowing that in a life full of sin and evil, it was paid on the cross. I know some Christians are too radical and force God down peoples throat but honestly, I was moved by this video and I had to share my testimony with you. You a cool dude, its pretty obvious that you naturally want to help others and for that I rocks with you. I just want to leave you with two things, The power of life and death is on your tongue. I have a family member who suffers from a brain trauma and mental illness and suicidal episodes have come up in my family, regardless of how every much time, energy, effort, knowledge, therapy, strategy coaching I give, -it helps but it is not a miracle when dealing with chronic chemical imbalance. I have worked with 4 suicidal circumstances in last 2 years trying to "save" someones life, and give them my willpower when they need it, but I have learned that for suicidal stories, it is not our job to cure but to care. If you go in thinking you can fix or cure someone, and if it doesn't happen, we can get traumatized in the process. We can be freed of this disappointment by offering Care not a Cure when dealing with the ill. And in the process your care will cure if there destiny is not pre-determined. You gave your best at that time w/ what you had, and that is enough. Let go of regret so he may rest in peace. you have memories that no one or no thing can ever take away from the 2 of you. its was his souls last attempt and act at transforming his self. death is just transformation. love is as strong as death. and if love is as stronger as death, u will see him again. his positive traits are alive and well living within you and reflecting it out to the world. hugs, ((( 0 )))
