I have to say that every time I look at one of your videos I feel like I am looking down on a very detail oriented working HO gauge model RR layout. It amazes me how you capture all of the fine details and colors so vividly. The sharpness and technique of your aerial photography is just phenomenal! Keep up the great work!!!
Nice! Used to ride FP+E + B+O engines in Fairport. Really sad that they tore down the brick roundhouse and attached car shop, it was a living museum as good as Orbisonia. 6:43 - the original interurban line, and early FP+E crossed the NKP at an angled diamond here, and proceeded East paralleling the NKP. Some embankment still visible at crossings along south side of the NKP/NS, and the embankment very visible through Madison. The long diamond ties were still in place into the 1960's at least. Rail stub is still visible under Narrows Road in Perry. I talked with one of the Grand River guys recently, he said Horizon is good to work with. I seriously need to quit working for a while and binge your stuff!
I go past this location almost daily. There are a lot more locomotives in the yard for restoring/rebuilding now. I really need to go to Hachs with a camera and ask to take pics of everything.
Thanks much some nice coverage on an obscure company. At first glance with the Audi quipment and paint schemes it really looks like a model. Judging by the backyard views it seems everyone owns a boat so I guess we can toss in a locomotive and global ethanol car too. Nice Shot on the parallel lines
The boats are mostly because Fairport was a fishing village as well as a port in years gone by. Actually the village has a surprising number odf bars and churches.
There were 2 HZRC motors at the pit in Galesburg yesterday one was a road slug and the other was whatever a 6400 would be. Wonder if it was the same 2 here.
That shot is tricky with all the trees. I tried to fly over there in time but I really have to creep to weave into the canopy. Maybe next time I get the leaving or coming to Fairport.

Aw man, I was hoping you'd get a shot of them going under CSX
