The 'stone faces' at the end of levels are basically support pillars to the tower, so you're going through one by one knocking down the tower!

hi yub, the 'stone faces' you were wondering about at 7:45 are pillars (called john pillar) and every level you must destroy it to help the tower crumble and ultimately complete the game. it also switches those small blocks you might see around the level to either help you navigate or force you to take a different route.
The fact you have maintained this amount of energy for all of these years and it still entertains me really says a lot about how great your content is!

@@YuB you actually fight 3 phases of pizza face and that is literally every single boss ever and you get to grab them and rapidly beat them up and peppino just flys into the sky with pizza head and then he just ground pounds pizza head straight into the tower
oh and if you hold taunt you breakdance
Tip for the Lap 2 tip: If you complete the tutorial fast enough, you actually DO unlock all the Lap 2 portals on the rest of the levels, meaning you can do them on your first run!

Amazing video like always Yub, i just wanted to tell you that there is also a secret rank, the "P Rank" (P for PIZZA) To have it you just need to do 3 things :
- Get all of the secrets and the treasure
- Do a second lap
- And finally the hardest one, you need to keep the same combo from the start to the end of the level
Its pretty hard but you can try it on the first level. I personally think that grinding for these P ranks is the best part of the game. It is so satisfying.

Every time I am somehow more and more surprised at how perfectly YuB this game manages to be. Just like with Kirby and the Forgotten Land, it’s an energetic, meme-able, game with great music and the occasional gun.

This is the type of game where you replay levels off camera to get better. I've never played it, but I've heard that once you get good it feels amazing to control.
Anyways the "you hurt Peppino 10 times" message is referenced by a pizza on the first floor that tells you "If you hurt Peppino too much, you can go to hell!"
Looking forward to more! Maybe replay the first or second level and try to get all the secrets?

That stone guy you have to destroy in every level is called Pillar John. According to the creator, that janitor you always save is Gerome and he is his brother. There is more to the them, but it would spoil a lot of stuff about the game.

When you hurt peppino 10 times something different happens and this goes on all the way up to 100. You should try this out for yourself. Just hurt him a lot and watch the tv.

You have to destroy the John Pillars to open the gate. It makes sense because hitting a pillar would destabillise the level.
So here's a short summary of what super taunts are:
You get them by getting a combo of 10 and are basically used as a screen-wide sweep to kill enemies by pressing taunt while holding up. You know you have a super taunt when you see Peppino have little white streaks of lightning around him.
Also, I think you should play some other maps from different worlds more since this game does have a small completion percentage which changes the outcome of your run!

tip: if you get all the treasures you get the true ending do this before beating the final boss as you can not get it after
tip: if you get through all of the secrets a secret appears in the tower when you go back to your save file

little tip, secrets are way more obvious then you think there not usually random, try exploring off the main path a little or look closely at walls for little details and eye shaped symbols!

Here’s a tip when you go into the fourth level do not kill a green enemy aka snotty at the end of the game he will give you snotty approved if you don’t kill him
1) try doing a grab to get an head start on running speed. 2) the chicken is mort the chicken from his infamous game(“Mort The Chicken) 3) there’s a hit delay when you get damaged so he can use that period of time to use parry and completely not get hurt
When you have an electric particle around you, you can do a super taunt which kills every enemy in the screen by holding up and taun

The way to get a P rank,
-You have to get all toppins
-You have to keep a combo for the whole level
-You have to unlock all secrets (Including the Janitor door)
-And finally you have to complete lap two!

you can get lap 2 portals by beating the tutorial in 2 minutes, when you grab you can quickly press down to go faster to go straight to mach 3, it also can be an instant slide

on your combo meter, there is a little doll that goes to the other side of the meter progressively, he's your way of knowing when your combo is about to end, you can prevent the combo from ending by killing enemies, gathering toppings, freeing caged toppings, and getting points in general.
Too yub : The pillars ( jhon gutter ) are the pillars of the level if you break them pizza time starts playing bc the roof is crashing on you

Also if you want to do lap 2 you gotta beat the tutorial in less than 2 or so minutes, lap 2 is also a way of getting a rank higher than an A rank along with the janitor aka Gerome opening doors to the secret tower treasure
