My daughter is taking grade 3 and I'm taking grade 7. It's so nice to hear the pieces played with such sensitivity at all levels. I really think your's are the best on the Web.
On the vivace, when the A section comes back round at bar 35, it starts p and then stays quiet until the b section. I noticed you played forte on the second half of the A section bar 43 (like it does at the start.) Do you know if this is an ABRSM official misprint or not?
I think Haensel and Gretel is just fabouesly played. It really shows when you play how irrelevant it is what grade a piece is, it is an art to play any piece well, no matter what, it is the music we love, not the grade
Absolutely, the music always has to come first! There are some amazing character pieces in this new syllabus - it has been wonderful getting to know them!
