- I ran into this problem and tried to find a video how to fix it but none were available that actually showed the process and how to they should line up. Let me know if you have any questions! I hope this helps you and fixed your machine like it did mine.

Ive had this problem for months and watching you fix it made me realize I could have the threads in WHILE adjusting. Solved, thank you 💙
I love the way you explained all of the interactions of the loopers/needles
One of the best tutorials I’ve seen on this! 👍✅
Thank you.
This video is really helpful when you don't have a service manual.
Abi's Den also has videos on different models of serger/ overlocker timing.
Thank you so much. I thought I was going to have to pay someone to do this, but this video made it easy and fast.
The only part I had trouble with was the positioning of the lower looper. I couldnt see how you set it, but I just played around with it while turning the wheel and tightened it when nothing hit together and it worked.
Honestly I think it works better now than from the factory 😂
The screws on my machine are super tight. But unscrewing the screws on my machine was the hardest and that has nothing to do with the process.
Thank you for this.
Thanks so very much for sharing this!!! I had no idea that the sergers were this simple to fix!!! I'm saving this video for myself as a Favorite!!!! ♡♡♡♡♡
Thank you so much! So helpful to see how it needs to pick up the threads! I was able to fix my machine because of this video!
What should the position of the lower looper be when the needles are at the lowest?
Hours of frustration saved!! Great explanations and close ups 😊 thank you
Thank you thank you thank you. You are my hero. I just tried this on my brother 2104d and it worked wonderfully !
Thank you for sharing this! It's good to know that it's here! However, I don't yet feel confident enough to do this myself yet. I have the 1034D.
Great video, you explained this so well and made it easy to to understand, thank you.
Very helpful video! I fixed my problem while watching this
Wish my serger sowed this well. May have to try your DYI fix Thanks
Thank you for making this video ❤ saved my life 😊
Mine isn't even broken, I don't know why I'm here 😂
😂 well I appreciate you and one day if you’re ever in a position to need to fix one I hope this video helps. 💜
excellent video and very helpful.
Thank you soooo much ❤definitely helped me 🙏
Thank you so much for this video.
Please, I left my singer pro finish for more than a year and it became stiff that the needles can’t move 1cm. I took it to a man but he said that I should pay $250, which I don’t have. Please, how do I repair it by myself?
Could you please help how far out do I move the lower looper
This is really helpful! My right needle is randomly skipping stitches. Could it be a similar issue?
Perfect ❤
Cool demo but might I be so bold as to suggest using a screwdriver and spanner (wrench) instead of an impact driver and needle nose pliers. Way less chance of doing damage when you use the correct tools...
Thanks Abi for this video. Please what size of Allen key did you use for your 8002D to set the upper lopper?
I have the same machine she uses and I use an 5/64 allen key
Do you happen any information on how to service a babylock BL4-738
I need help i took apart the machine and the 4 metal peices came off to latch the thread on top but im not sure how to put it back together
Thanks!
Any ideas why onyl left needle cant catch the stitch?
Question: my serger sews a few inches then quits, it will restart again if you turn the hand wheel a bit, but only for a few stitches at a time. Motor shot?
You are so good...
Why did you remove the front cover?
What grease do you use?
where can I find the measurements for other models?
Can you help me to fix singer serger timing ?
How do you set timing on an empisal 760 c
if you adjust your needle bar height, and it's not the part that slipped (it rarely is), now your needle and feed dog timing are no longer in sync, the fabric might be moving while the needles are still in it. This will also mean your cutter is not in sync with your needle timing too, but this isn't the primary issue. Try not to play with the needle bar height to make adjustments to timing. Also, it really helps to know your clearances. Where are the loopers supposed to be when the needle bar is top dead center or when the needle is just at the height of the needle plate (use a sheet of paper where the fabric would normally go to determine this.) This is a good explanation though. A fix more than a repair though. Also, damn you're using a whole ass drill just to take off these little tiny screws. Get some stubby ratcheting drivers or something. At least get a little subcompact impact driver or something.
Help my serger has the opposite problem. It’s too tight and the metal mechanisms are touching each other. The looper needles
Please help!!! I live in Jamaica and there’s only one place on the opposite side of the island that does repair. My server ha a fit today. It seems the upper knife arm is lower. It’s actually hitting the casing and nothing is cutting. This is my livelihood in a place that’s very hard to make money. Please please please

PSA:
Please do not do this if you have a warranty on your machine you will void said warranty. If not then your fine.

Please what can i do theneddle is notgo up and down is stud
What kind of surgery do you have? I have a singer serger Pro Finish and I don't know what the finger should look like on the needle plate? One of mine is shorter than the other and I don't know if that's because it's broken or if that's how it is supposed to be? Can you please help me
One of the needles sits a little lower than the other needle. It is supposed to be like this, just as the Lower Looper and Upper Looper sit at different positions. It is to catch the threads at the correct times. ♡ Hope this is helpful :)
The screw for the upper looper is on top of that loopers mechanics. I'm not english speaking, sorry.
I thought this was a good video until I tried to follow it with a friend who is mechanically inclined and works on computers. There are key parts missing from your video like what to use the hex wrench and needle nose piers on. The camera angles are not the best and do not show a close-up of what the needle and looper relationship should be for the correct alignment right before tightening the screws. There is a lot of skipping around and missing info. I even found and downloaded the 1034D serger parts manual which cleared up some of the missing info, but still, my machine is not adjusted and may have to go to a technician which will likely cost at least half of what the machine cost brand new. I'll look for better videos and hope that you will also put out a better detailed video. Thanks.
This seems like a 'fast as possible' guide for preventing your serger working correctly. Please if anyone reads this comment, find a different video to follow when attempting any serger repair.
Truly. Especially if it’s me.
I can't see where you set the lower looper. 😂
Great video but not helpful without the lower looper position
Nice fix issue is you don't answer questions in comments why comment?
I don’t understand this video. It’s the worst she doesn’t show you where to place anything everything is cut out like the lower looper or where to put the thread guards down at the bottom now that it’s taken apart I have no clue where to put them back.
My hand wheel is not turning 3034D
Check to make sure nothing is broken or blocking the parts. If it won’t wiggle back or forth then it may just be locked up and need a lot of oil and/or grease again.
This video was not detailed near enough. There is much skipped information
tons of questions but you aren't answering any
I am so frustrated.
😀🥰
