On my point of view the only factor that makes some people claim that the first games are better is nostalgia. RE4 is the most acclaimed game for a reason. Lastly I would say RE1-2 and RE7(up until Mia's section) are survival horror, re3 and code veronica are debateble, RE4-All the way to RErevelations 2 is action horror.

@@n4ttevandring ehh not necessarily, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and wether they like the older titles better than the new ones or vise versa, however subjectively I think that re2 remake was good but it was missing content from Claire’s story so it wasn’t as good as it could’ve been. Re3 remake was missing most of what made re3 re3 so it wasn’t better . Re8 tried to combine elements of 4 and 7 and essentially replicate the magic of 4 but it didn’t work out it’s no where near as solid as 4. And while 7 was the rebirth to the franchise it was only good in the bakers house so it never reached its full potential. Moral of the story is capcom have shown they cannot outdo themselves with their new titles. They never quite reach that level of polish and amount of content of the old games

Ima just have to say dont get your hopes up, campaign of Re6 is more lively than the remake of RE2/RE3 on ps4/ps5 its honestly just good graphics and boring playstyle, to whereas the older games have bad graphics but fun playstyle. Its just a bad tradeoff.
I used to play Re 4 on PS2 and until now I have never missed another Re series even though I don't have a console or PC. I only watched the gameplay of RUclipsrs and yes last year when this game was launched I watched gameplay all day from a RUclipsr who played Re 4 remake, really nostalgic but also something new❤❤❤
RE4 was my very first Resident Evil game i ever played and it was both awesome and scary as hell. And it's finally getting a comeback remake for the new generation of gaming. I can't wait for March 24 2023.

When my son was 7 - 8, I bought my 1st PlayStation it only played the original RE. I Liked the graphics, but the game SUCKED, U couldn't run!! Then I learned RE2 was coming out, 2 get a better experience, purchase a PlayStation 2, so I did, man am I GLAD I did!!!! It was AWESOME, & U could run!!!!! Then RE3 NEMISIS came out had 2 get that, I loved it as well!!! Nemisis scared the fricken .... out of me. Then RE4 came out, couldn't wait 2 get it. If they make a good job in the remake of RE4, they may improve the "horror" realm as "horror" itself wasn't something that RE4 excelled at, although the part where the regenerators appear was really terrifying. Hopefully the remake improves on that theme and we get to see a really good remake.

I was thankful enough to be an older kids when re4 came out. Picked it up on the ps2 and beat it 8 times. Can't wait for this release, hopefully the budget was big enough to give the fans what they want.
I watched my dad play RE4 all the time when I was a kid until I was eventually old enough to play it myself. I've completed the game about 4 or 5 times, which is a big deal for me because I'm usually not one to replay games, at least not more than once. I'm eager to play a game that feels like RE4, but is still different in its own way.

Horrible reactions. These people have no connection with the original game. I literally lost my mind when it was revealed. I may have a biased opinion because I played the OG on the first week of release, but these reactions were just sad.
I mean I can’t speak on others featured, but I grew up on Resident Evil games. Especially Resident Evil 4. I have vague memories of watching my dad play the Castle section of Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube. I’m very excited to see how capcom will handle this remake.

@@JessicaGarcia-xf9wr This remake will probably be ok but "iconic" no. The orginal RE4 is good because it balanced camp horror and action VERY well. Here it already looks like they are taking the plot too seriously (which is basically one guy be sent to safe the president's daughter a complete 90s plot and comical).
Half of the content will be paid DLC (Separate Ways, Assignment Ada, Mercenaries). The unlockable costumes are now preorder paid bonuses.

Horrible reactions. These people have no connection with the original game. I literally lost my mind when it was revealed. I may have a biased opinion because I played the OG on the first week of release, but these reactions were just sad.
I mean I can’t speak on others featured, but I grew up on Resident Evil games. Especially Resident Evil 4. I have vague memories of watching my dad play the Castle section of Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube. I’m very excited to see how capcom will handle this remake.
I’m betting they don’t even know that there’s a community of loyal fans that made re4 popular to this day. And now we have them on board now!
