That’s an incredible spoon, i thought there was no way you had enough wood on the end of the handle to carve a Raven 🐦⬛. But as usual you have created another masterpiece. Well done Mr Stinnett.
Да, Валер! Как подсадил ты меня на Майка (ну, порекомендовал), так его и смотрю теперь! Удивительные вещи делает Майк!!!! Очень интересно! (Вячеслав Д)
It’s very rare when I come across people who are truly such a gift to this world as you and your family are. I am really enjoying the videos, can’t wait to start my wood carving journey.
Mike that Raven was talking to you! There's more going on in this world than meets the eye my friend, as I'm sure you're aware. Another great piece too :)
What's not to like, Mike? A great little scoop. I love Pearl's sweater. And it turns out that talent runs in the family. I bet all these make that coffee taste that much better. Bill
I’m just a simple 54 year old Iowa fella living vicariously through your amazing wood art, calming demeanor, simple ways, nature, and dog. Wish I had your talent. Well shit, at least I have the dog anyway. Thank you sir for sharing yourself with us. I mean it.
Well what can I say pure skill Mike , lovely spoon it is great background music and of course Pearl watching . Take care Mike 👌the Raven looks alive wow .
Your work is top notch. Am getting back into carving and drawing again, now that im retired. I can see you doing a set of spoons with different birds/animals. 😃
Wonderfu! Once more you've made me feel more relaxed and thankfull. The Spoon and especially the raven looks wonderful! Haha, and I went Ohhwww as Pearl was sitting in your lap with her little warming pullover. Thank You Mike! Greetings form South Germany
We have big Crows here in Fargo, but i don't think I've ever seen a Raven here.... I wish we had them! Thank you for making and sharing your videos... You bring peace to a chaotic world...
I love your videos, Mike. What a talented, creative artist you are. I only wish that I could be there with you and Pearl just shootin the breeze while you work on one of your masterpieces.
Hi Mike! Another amazing piece. You are such a talented artist. I love watching you create new pieces while little Pearly sits with you. Does your daughter share your talent? Thank you for you❤
Thank you very much, Stacy! Yes, both of my daughters are artist, and authors. I'm very proud of them! Theresa just finished writing and illustrating a new children's storybook! It should be available soon. I will make a video about it when it's available!
@@stacygerlich5807Thank you! I would have offered it for sale, but it took so long for me to make, that I'm afraid the price would be way too high, haha!
beautiful artwork and calming video that served as a reminder to let go of my stress and start focusing on my art again. good choice going with the raven too, amazing birds!
🌞 Good Morning , Mr.Mike And Pearl . I love your Blackbird spoon . You are a fantastic artists . I could watch you work all day .Mr . Mike And Family . Have A Blessed Weekend .😊
I love the share all on the story about your daughter gifting you the knife that inspired you to start carving and how little Pearl seemed to give her appreciation to the spoon also the story of your brother who made you the cup out of clay awesome video love the spoon God 8: bless to you and your family Mike
You have mastered your snake carvings and they are the very best. I also like to see you either power carve or hand tool carve other things like this Raven spoon. You are a natural master at carving and we love to see you start from a piece of limb or block of wood and finish with an animal or bird. Keep these videos coming we appreciate your carving skill.
This is one of the most badass things that I've ever seen. Immaculate talent that nobody could buy. A life very well lived while you're carving a spoon and your dog, the little sweater wearing cutie pie is on your lap. That's what life is all about you know. You've won it. You've achieved what people with hundreds of millions of dollars try every day to do. This whole video screams contentment, talent, and appreciation for the things that life has given us and what we've had to make for ourselves in order to do what we need and what we want. If I had to describe this video in one word, and one word only. It would be balanced.
Hey 👋 Mike!!! I love how you say, "I'm going to use my wood burner and "cheat" a little bit"😂 you still amaze me with your creations my good friend. It may be just a spoon but to me it's a work of art for sure!!! and I like Miss Pearl's sweater😄 take care and God Bless my friend. Jay.
Art just art my friend thank you for the amazing job , i still remember when you did the scorpion and YES!! i miss my beautiful Pearl 😥, Blessings my friend.🙂
I want to thank you for sharing this video with us.the Crow 🐦⬛ spoons is awesome.i Love it. The coffee was looking good to so I just made a pot..have a great day Sir.
How wonderful, i am so fond of ravens, such clever birds, they kept me alerted of neighbourhood cats when i was trying to help a baby squirrel last year because they knew i would say thank you but realistically i knew it was for the dried suet and mealworms, well they earned it, God Bless you
Mike, love it, turned out amazing. Nice to see you taking the path less travelled and experimenting with trying to use only knives/hand tools. Absolutely 100% the biggest thing is learning how to not cut yourself with those sharp carving knives/tools. Your brother may have inspired me to finally do something with the 10lbs of clay I bought last year, actually bought it to make my own mug as most are too small, but too many ideas of how to do that floating around, best to keep it simple I guess.
Thank you very much! I really enjoy carving with knives, but, man, it takes a lot longer to do a project! I could have made several raven spoons with power tools in the same time, haha! You should check out some videos on primitive pottery firing methods. If I wasn't a carver I probably would be a potter.
Hahaha, yup I can imagine, kind of like only using hand tools to do wood working/build furniture, but oh the reward of knowing that you did it all by hand, the skill required and patience. Will definitely check out the primitive firing, because I don't have a kiln, although have seen some simple methods for making one out of an old drum.
I find it is amazing how you can see what you want in a piece of wood, and then bring it to life. It's a joy to see your God given talents at work. Thanks for sharing.
*Mike, so it was your daughter that got you all started... awesome daughter aye 🙂 I so love the Raven on the end of the spoon... 🙂 So the talent in the family isn't just you but also your brother.. as that coffee mug is lovely 🙂I hope you, your wife, Pearl and your family are all having a lovely weekend 🙂nz*
Yes, When she gave me the spoon carver I started making spoons, and started really enjoying carving. Then I began to sculpt wood with the power tools that I already had, and I've been carving every since. Yes, my family has a lot of talent. I'm really proud of them.
Great spoon idea, I love it I have the same spoon carving set and those Mora knives are pretty well made, I have 2 and they hold a good edge. Another triumph my friend. Glad Pearl is enjoying sitting with you. Thanks Mike I may have to try this, I have been stagnating and I can always use the inspiration to get moving again. God Bless
Thank you, Joe! These small projects are fun, and they do help to re-inspire our creativity. I've been having fun working with knives, even though it takes longer to finish a piece. God bless you too my friend!

A Rockwell jawhorse is hands down one of the best tools I own. It’s cumbersome to move but incredibly useful.
Totally agree!
The scoop turned out stunning. The little meticulous details really bring the raven to life. Also, Pearl in her little white sweater! Adorable!!!
