- If you've ever wondered if the Glasshouse Mountains area is only suited to smaller enduro bikes, check out this video. There is plenty of fun to be had on bigger bikes, even with road tyres on - as long as you don't mind getting a little radical. The powerlines and type of terrain were our main navigational aid in the 80s, that and the Woodford rd. From the golf club to the little shop at Peachester. 1:02 hundred metres to the left was where we came out the bush and hit the pavement again, through an open gate and a clearing where the Pony express or some enduro event used to start. Had a few marked trails you could follow. Our little pack was an 75 MX250B an XL500, the one with the giant front wheel, a TS 100 and an xr200. 25:50 that XL was a heavy bitch too, with the added bonus of it pissing out petrol all over you when you picked it up.. Ever kicked a smoking hot flooded XL500 on the side of a hill? I haven't, I have watched it done though. Electric start would have been good.

Youre so supportive and patient with riders not quite as skilled as you Josh. Reminds me of mate i go riding with. Hes a motocross racer and im just a dickhead. I always feel that when i come back im a bit better than when i left and hes just happy to have another old bastard who never grew up to go riding with. As usual, love your work mate. My mrs and me were up your way a few weeks ago. 3500kms we did. From wagga to Caboolture and back. Fuck we loved it.

Most people come up for the beaches and stuff but we head for Caboo...........coz our son lives there 😉 We had planned to go for a ride up and around the Sunshine Coast hinterland but yas had them fires going on at the time and we were just pretty happy to hang where we were.

I recently sold my Africa Twin and yave almost got me convinced to buy a t7. Was going a Pumpkin 890 but like the simplicity of the yammy. I ride small enduro bikes every weekend but I'm missing the big bike.

@MVDBR I would bet he still has that original 15T sprocket somewhere. I really liked the 16T in fifth gear, but I learned to hate it in first through fourth in my old KLR.

I agree with working your way into a ride. Sometimes I feel almost dangerous for the first 30 minutes and it doesn’t seem fun then it all comes good without the unco feelings. Why did you fit road biased tyres. I have 2 set’s of wheels for my 890r. It’s amazing on the twisties with sticky tyres.
Goldentyre asked me to try out the GT923 they go pretty damn good off-road for what they are 👌 Just put knobbies back on this week. Cheers
