How to Get Power of Compounding from SIP?

- Systematic Investment Plan or SIP is a simple way of investing in mutual funds. SIP allows you to invest as low as Rs 500 per installment. You can stop or pause your SIP at any time. SIP Date refers to the date of the month or quarter when you want to invest through SIPs. Some AMCs have specific SIP dates, while some AMCs may allow investment on any date of the month. When it comes to Mutual Funds the Power of Compounding is the return on your returns from Equity Funds. When investors commit to reinvesting their returns, they will earn returns on the principal amount and the returns from these equity funds in turn earn more returns. This effect of reinvesting is called the Power of Compounding.

Compounding Comes with interest gain on Capital employed + Current value of capital and subsequently the interest keep on adding in the base investment and that is called compounding.
There is no as such concept of Compouding in stocks and MFs as they have a NAV on which you buy and corresponding to that one hets a no. of units and now it all depends on theove of stock market whether you will gain or losse your money...you will get return not interest.

Compounding ka mltb hai investment + return gain on investment should be reinvest lekin mam hum to sip hi chla rhe hai 10000 ki to usme return kha reinvest ho rha hai? Bs hamare unit br rhe hai every month through our sip
Compounding is scam 🤣.
Compounding is only possible in Fixed income schemes like FD.
Equity main units milti hai.
10 saal tak 0% return and 11th year main 200% de sakta hai.
Jo underlying stocks hote hain unko fund manager sell karta hai.. Woh sell karne pe jo return (buy - sell price) usko reinvest kia jaata hai.

So on..
No need for reinvestment
So MF, stocks,fd, ppf , epf ,gold every where you get compounding but return will be in plus and minus both...
You are paying for NAV's and interest earned from those doesn't give new NAV's. Can't say compounding if you are not continuing your investment.

What happens to our purchased share AND MFs if apps like groww and zerodha closes? Can we still sell those shares? Mutual funds?
Yes.. you can write down your folio no., And login to the mutual fund company's website when needed. And then you can redeem ur amount from their website with valid proofs.
You can also check youtube videos if you have any queries... Just check it out.. Happy investing.
Like shares all mutual fund units you buy are stored in CDSL or NSDL which are government owned. So even if Zerodha or Groww closes you can still sell your Mutual funds.

Please make a video on mutual fund redeem tax and how it implies
Withi 1 year if you redeem exit load applicable. And it's not long term investment. On Long term investment when you reedeme 10% applicable on the total profit gained. 1 lakh rs is exempted per year.
For example your profit is 1.10 lakhs then 10% of 10,000 is applicable tax.

Hi,
Any amount already invested in the fund will continue to remain invested and grow as per the fund performance. Canceling the SIP will only stop future installments. You may redeem the invested amount via your Mutual Funds dashboard.

Don't manipulate people. I have a Groww account and I invest in MFs through SIPs and one time both.
There's no concept of compounding in Mutual funds investments. The table she is showing shows how compounding earns interest, where did she show how compounding works in MF.
If MF had a compounding then an invested units should increase over time or NAV should increase for a customer invested for long term vs a customer invested short term. But NAV is the same at the end of the day, what varies is your average NAV. I invested 5000/- one time in a sensex fund in July 2020 at Nav of 16. Its Nav was 30 in Oct'21, and is again at 30 right now. My units are the same , the invested value in Jan'23 is same as what it was in Oct'21. Where is compounding?
Compounding works in SIP, but it is not fixed compounding, there is no guarantee of a certain return. Market can give profits or losses. However, if you have invested 100rs, and earn 5% profit, your total investment becomes 105 rs. Now if you again earn 5% gain, then this 5% will be on 105rs, so your total investment will become 110.25 and not 110. That is compounding.
you had invested when market was down and its still stagnant bro even recession is coming just be patience. Whatever table she had explained was in terms of Ideal situation. But in real situation situation are up and down but your corpus will reach there soon. Check data of sensex of past 30 years.
@@karannagvekar2929 that is a different thing, I am not talking about the nav being stagnant or returns. But compounding is a static concept which applies to instruments liked FD where as MFs are market driven. No compounding happens on them
@@TheSlimmshadyy you are again telling what is compounding as a forumla. It exists in MF through SIP is a myth
@@ranjitsingh-ge3jw I am not telling any formula, just logic. Your SIP will get compounding because you don't get interest only on the SIP amount, you get interest on the principle as well as on the interest that you may have generated. Basically return on returns. Simple as that.
There is no compounding in mutual funds! Do not get fooled by “power of compounding”, “miracle of SIPs” and “8th wonder of the world” illustrations! The term “compounding” has no separate meaning than to represent compound interest. Since mutual funds offer no interest, the notion of compound interest or compounding does not apply to them.
Point here is I am not saying mutual funds are bad investment, its just the fact that there is no compounding in Mutual funds.
The returns from selling of underlying shares, on rebalancing the MF portfolio, gets reinvested. That is how compounding works in Mutual funds. Moreover, some shares may distribute dividends as well and that gets reinvested also.
@@karandua6564 The point here is Portfolio rebalancing or reinvesting or even dividends can't be termed as Compounding at all.
Moreover, once the dividends are distributed, the share price plummets immediately. In many cases, this fall in the share price is almost equal to the dividend that has been announced. So ultimately the argument of "Compounding" still stands valid.
@@sanketashtikar7678 You really need to brush up on the concepts here bro.
"Compounding is the process in which an asset's earnings, from either capital gains or interest, are reinvested to generate additional earnings over time."
Took this from investopedia. The contextual term for our discussion here is capital gains. So yes, capital gain reinvestment is compounding.
And I am not sure what stats you have to support that dividend distribution reduces the price of the stock. Dividend distribution is generally considered a sign of strong financials of a company, a company that is generating profit. Yes, the price decreases when the dividend is distributed, but it it also increases proportionally between the time the dividend is announced and when it is distributed.
@@karandua6564 My godd!
If this is the level of knowledge flow here then I am no more interested in this already lost contextualised discussion.
Read the video caption, watch it again and re-read my first comment.
@@sanketashtikar7678 absolutely, that is a best way out in any civilized discussion. A skill that we lost way back.
The entire internet is flooded (real, credible sources, not talking about "Finfluencers") with how compounding works in Mutual funds but apparently there is a poor knowledge flow "here".
Your first comment clearly emphasises that there is no compounding in Mutual funds, I give you tens of proofs, and again - there is a lost context here.
Wait, I will give you one last proof, take it or leave it 🤣
if you have ever bought a fund directly through the AMC, you must have seen two options - Growth and IDCW (Income distribution cum capital withdrawal). The first one takes benefit of compounding through reinvestment, the other one distributes the proceeds to the mutual fund holders. That is why the NAV in the first one is higher than the second one.
Yes, mutual funds are market linked and there is no guaranteed compounding or even returns for that matter, but in the longer term the underlying investments do gather capital gains and dividends, and whenever those are sold by the fund manager or the distributed dividend is reinvested, compounding occurs after that. That's the simplest way compounding occurs.
Mutual fund me koi compound interest nahi hota....
Fake compounding if everyone do this. No. Of units remains sames and when NAV value is increased the mutal fund company says it is compounding. But in reality if you want compounding, book profits when you reach a certain level of profit and switch to another fund for getting the desied profit percentage, then your funds will really compound and the magical figure can be seen.( For eg 25000 with1200% profit is 325000 while when you book each cycle @ 25% and do invest with interest for 48 times, then this will be more than 100 crores !!!, That is the real power of compounding
Madam doesn’t know what she’s talking above. Feel like a parrot repeating a bunch of sentences.
The compounding word is very misleading. There’s only buy and sell happening.
This is wrong information. 3 months sip payments nahi karne se mutual fund cancel nahi hoga. Ye bakwas bolri..
if we miss consecutively three sip's then our sip will get cancelled not the MF.
You have to pause the sip. Your broker can help you
No compounding in Mutual funds...Dont scam people like this....There is no power of compounding BS in MF
