Jesus is the Creator of heaven and earth, so He is the Father in that way. He has inherited ALL that the Father hath, so that means Jesus Christ also inherited Father Elohim’s names and titles like an earthly prince would.
That’s part of how I understand what Abinadi meant.

That is part of it. Listen to the whole episode and I think it will expand that understanding even more. Bless you!

Mosiah 5:7 this concept is explained:
7 And now, because of the covenant which ye have made ye shall be called the children of Christ, his sons, and his daughters; for behold, this day he hath spiritually begotten you; for ye say that your hearts are changed through faith on his name; therefore, ye are born of him and have become his sons and his daughters.
This means that as we come unto the Savior, believe in Him and are baptized -partaking of His Atonement & taking upon us His name - we then become His sons & daughters. Heavenly Father is the father of our spirits. Jesus becomes our Father in the sense that we are His children in the gospel.

You are very right! This is one of the important ways that Christ is our Father. It is not primarily what Abinadi is referring to, but it is an incredibly important way. I think you will enjoy the whole discussion as found on this episode of the podcast. Thanks for this!
