Ben is such a control freak he is trying so hard not to interfere haha
Ben’s a strong independent chef, he don’t need no guests to be impressed.
He doesn't need any guests.
NOT
He don't need no guests.
still standing with my vvery first comment on sorted: I LOVE when Ben only instructs and the others do stuff.. It makes me more inclined to think I can do it than when Ben cooks. Because.... chef and such.
Snoozette all the other guys have cooked for a good couple years now they may not have a qualification but through experience they are pretty good at it now
What bigger than the observable universe?
Ben's silicone bakeware collection
I love the look on Jamie's face when he gets to do the "This is our........sorted!". That's the joy of cooking right there.
I knew it. I knew no matter what, Ben wouldn't have given a 10/10. That look on his face though, was priceless.
Very little is ever PERFECT! :p
SORTEDfood 2 things:
1. I agree, but a 0.5 difference? That's really petty XD
2. I got a reply from the SORTED team. This makes my day :D
Yes! Please do more midweek meals!
Lou this! My boyfriend and i are both home at 6 so no time to make all these fancy things.
Same here! Home at 5:30, toddler's bedtime at 7....I need quick meals, haha!! Jamie, I'm sure you understand how hard it is to get stuff done in the kitchen with a toddler around.... 😉
Awesome recipe, love the weeknight focus ❤
DAMN!!! That is impressive! I love the addition of the apricots! I bet that came out amazing!
They add another dimension- give it a go!
jamie would have probably gotten 10/10 if he would have taken the pork out of the pan RIGHT when ben said it
Jaimie did the thing Jaimie did the thing!!
Wow that checking if it's properly cooked trick just blew my mind :O.
DamKaKaDaNi Mine too.
No energy, yes, but I have loads of thyme!
The Hero of Goats I
I love cooking for friends and fam. But not when I’m by myself... Please do a video (or two) about recipes for one. Not too many ingredients and leftover food would be great too! #happysingle :)
Watching these kind of videos remind me what a good teacher Ben is. If I was in his place I'd get frustrated and do everything myself haha
Love an easy midweek meal!! Nice and easy in the week after a long day at work :)
This is exactly that!
SORTEDfood food shop tomorrow this is on my list! Need nice easy meals for the next week as I'm off on holiday the week after and I've got so much to do! 😂 more of these videos please ❤️
Thanks for the recipe, very interesting you guys!
Love the one pan recipes! I'm gonna try this one next week
When Jamie said " Well stop speaking in French then", I immediately laughed and thought of "My velouuut-ayyyy" 😂😂
3:55 Jamie had the tongs in his left hand but he still used his other hand to put the pork into the pan...
I love it XD!
This is so encouraging to see and holy heck it looks delicious!
This looks absolutely fantastic. I really want to make this.
Making this right now.
Looks so AMAZING!!!!
I just bought a slow cooker - can you do a week of slow cooker meals please guys? Thanks so much!! :D
Bella Statham you should look at the channel "domestic geek", there are a lot of slow cooker meals! :) and "mind over munch"
Amazing!!!
James looks so proud at the end 😂😂
Aw that looks so good
Love this midweek recipe! It's so useful😁. More please🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Whoa, that looks and sounds amazing!
This is great, definitely going to try this out. Would love to see more!
More of this! Loving it :)
Ben's response to Jamie not taking out the pork fast enough personifies my inner emotions when I get asked stupid questions. Thank you Ben.
More of these, please!! 😘
That looks AMAZING!
More videos like this!! Please:D This looks sooooo good and easy
This looks amazing!
This is awesome! More mid-week meals, please!
Now that's brilliant!
Great recipe!
Always looking for midweek meals. Midweek is when I work late so these are always appreciated
You guys should do more mid week meals, love this!
Yaaaaaay midweek meals
ready for stock pot meals this winter
I think I'm likely not alone in this: but I love you guys. For real!! Glad to be part of the Kickstarter campaign xo
This looks so good guys! 😋
He looked so happy to be able to say the 'sorted' line, awww!
HAHAHAHA Did anyone else rewind the beginning with Ben waving behind Jamie because I did a lot.. totally worth it!
looks delicious, and since I have everything at home, I already know what's going to be my dinner tomorrow :)
Tried it and (though the family, it turns out, hate both apricots and prunes) it was a success.
I had just found shallots shortly before I started keto 9 months ago and man I miss them lol. I can only eat like 1 oz of a regular onion which would be like 0.5 oz of shallots since they have more sugar lol. But they’re so fragrant and sweet!
honestly never thought of using prunes in a main but love them, will be trying this
So many lovely north African tagines combine meat and fruit and spice. This works in a similar way!
Also you nailed this, Jamie!
need more of these types of vids :D
nice and easy meals but still gorgeous
I love recipes like this! Is it possible to see some more autumnal recipes that can be slow-cooked? I work most of the day, so I'd love to come home and have something ready and waiting for me!
You should have called this video "Jamie and Ben get stoned with apricots".
RUclips guidelines workers: MONETISED BITCH.
That point Ben made about the cut in the middle: I have been waiting for that tip for years!
This reminded me I've got lamb cutlets in the freezer, excellent.
Well done Jamie.
I seriously think that Ben's idea of "quick and easy" means you don't have to grind your own wheat for the flour.
Well if you wanted beans on toast or egg and chips you wouldn't need to watch the video! You have to chop a couple of shallots and some garlic but it's eminently doable in 20 minutes with minimal washing up. The only hassle would be making sure you have the ingredients in.
Make a series called mid-week meals! Seriously need more of such recipes for my own mid-week meals
I still watch most of the videos on this channel, even though I am a very picky eater and find a good 85% of the recipes disgusting. The boys are so entertaining, and even if I don't like a recipe (eg, fruit paired with meat.. NOPE!), I still get ideas from recipes and incorporate them into my own cooking.
I'm so proud
Do more of these!
Made this tonight with some alterations and it was a huge hit with the boyfriend. Subbed green beans for the spinach (not a fan) and normal white beans for the butterbeans. Took the 'pear' suggestion from Ben to sub the apricots as well, that was great :)
This looks really good! I'm going to make it next week, and might add some barley in there somewhere. :)
Please do more like this and do slow cooker stuff too!
I just got an idea. What if you make a battle in which James and Ben ‘supervise’ the boys where they cook a somewhat complicated meal? You can make pairings like James & Barry and Ben & Jamie or whatever. That’ll be fun to watch!
I think this is the first video of yours that hasn't made me hungry and it was exclusively because I was eating while watching it
Haha yeah I opened my subscriptions and thought "okay, I have a bowl of soup in front of me, this video won't make me hungrier"
Hacking up a pork shoulder is actually so satisfying? I did it for the first time the other day and it was crazy fun
This was great. Can we have more like this? I don't like sweets very much and I feel like there's been sooooo many desserts on this channel lately haha.
Not a big fan of pork, but this recipe makes me want to try it :)
The way been spoke to Jamie like 'take it out of the pan' and he started talking 😂 he don't give a shitttt
Man, I was right there with you guys until you went to #PruneTown. 😂😂😂
Love, do you enjoy plums?
more midweek!
Reminds me of medieval cuisine!
This dish is really inspirational. Would love to try this. My hubby suffers gout sometimes, so is there another vegetable that I can replace the beans with? Hoping for your advice. Thanks and love your vids! :)
As someone who is allergic to apples, thank you guys so much for showing me another awesome pairing with pork!
Got anything else I can pair? Allergies include, mint, tree nuts, lavender and basil. :)
I never noticed that Jamie was such a tentative chopper. After all these years I'd have expected him to be super confident with a knife.
A video on delicious pork during Navratri..........!!! Ughhh when will these 2 more days end!! Not that I can have pork, but some Chicken would be nice!!! 🍗🍕🌭🍖🍳
Dribble dribble! just subbed
Big fan of this. How about more one-pot mid week meals?
This brings to mind Chicken Marbella -- it was a big deal in what, the 1980's US? I haven't made it for years, though I always loved it; but love the idea of the stone fruit, prunes, and beans here with pork (pork goes so well with stone fruits -- pork chops with cherries or with peaches, in season, are in regular rotation, and of course apples are a classic combo). And, yes, I thought the appellation cassoulet was a stretch, but looked it up: any meat and bean casserole is actually a cassoulet (does not need to take 2 days to make, or require confit duck).
Never thought of apricot with pork but it sounds delicious. Too bad it's 11:30pm where I'm at, watching, or I'd cook this right away. I'm not sure my family would appreciate my midnight cooking 😂
Haha - save it for another day! Tell us when you do!
Pork medallion, onion, garlic, herbs, chicken stock, bean, plain flour, dried plum, apricot (stone fruit), spinach, double cream or milk
That deserved a 10/10 for letting Ben but in to cut the pork
Ben was on fire today!
1. Salt and pepper the pork loin
2. Put oil to pan and sear the pork
3. Chop garlic and onion
4. Take a seared pork out onto plate
5. Put garlic herb and onion into pan
6. Put couple table spoon of chicken stock into the pan
7. Scatter flour
8. Put rest of stock
9. Bring heat lower to simmer and put pork back in the pan
9. Put apple, or this case stone fruit (apricot and dried plum)
10. Put spinach in the pan until wilt
11. Stir
12. Put 2 table spoon of double cream or milk
13. Serve up
Hahhaha is the last line + Sorted the chef's right? :P good work boys
When Ben started with 'and although we've done enough for two-' I was ready to hear Jamie say he was gonna eat it all by himself anyway.
that's what I would've done X'D
I like these effortless midweek meals. Can we have more of them?
Yes! Got any recommendations?
SORTEDfood How about easy to make soups!?
Jamie lost some weight, looking good bro 😎👌
Haha The zooming in on the food reminds me of Gordon Ramsey!!
WHERE'S THE LAMB SAAAAAAUAUUAUUAUACE
Could we do a student meal week please? like quick and easy meals for one that are also healthy-ish and cheap? :)
Stoned! 😍
6:14 SAME
Do a segment of different kinds if food from ancient times please!!!
I can't believe how much cream you guys put in... Everything.
Jamie is cute. 😀 he's my fave
OK, random challenge idea. The "normal" people cook and the chefs judge, but the chef's do not know what the secret ingredient/inspiration is. This way the "normies" have to come up with (probably with viewer help) an inspired recipe that they make and the chefs have to figure out what the inspiration was based off the dishes. A challenge all around.
Who comes up with the help secret ingredient then?
Ben is like the professor I had last semester. You do everything perfectly to the standard they requested, and yet ... A-
what would be a good substitute for prunes?
