I've been religiously watching "Dark Matter" and like you I give it a 10 out of 10. I've been a sci-fi fan for forever, but was never been good at science when I was in school--and definitely not in physics. If the schools would have had the "Dark Matter" series to use as the course outline, I'm sure folks like me would have gotten into the sciences a lot more. But, that's probably in another universe. LOL.
I agree with you about the acting--both Joel & Jennifer are excellent; and Alice & Jimmy, in supporting roles, were so good that they were really "co-lead" actors. BTW, until this series, I was not a fan of Joel; so, that's one more "win" for the show--it made me a believer in Joel's talent.
Word on the street (and supported by the Collider post-finale interview with Blake Crouch) is that "if" there is a season 2, it will focus on Amanda & Ryan. Which is fitting. We've done the Jason Family Saga, now we can move on to the stories of Other travelers.

Good production, good review, good choice of show to review. Good stuff.
