- After two years in quarantine, these extremely rare marine angelfish are finally ready to move into their permanent homes. Alex the vet carefully catches and examines them, using a skin scraping technique to ensure they are completely healthy before the transition.
Due to their high value and rarity, a multi-person team is on standby to handle them with extreme caution.
Watch the delicate process of moving these rare fish and learn about the importance of quarantine and health checks in fishkeeping.
What rare fish should Andrew consider adding to his aquarium?? Let us know in the comments!

Congratulations Polo Team
Aspirational to say the least. Can’t say how thankful i am that someone like this is out there doing the heavy lifting for the community. I would throw my vote in for the peppermint to be part of the next evolution.
@@ChrisFowden been no collection of them in years but one diver i think is going back

Not to take appreciation away from the angels, but what type of wrasse is that at 7:22 ? Just before the rhomboid? Quick look but looks pretty special!

@@TopShelfAquatics first coral went in yesterday lol Soon !
Beautifull white masked angle fish. My only concern is due to the rarity of the fish would it not have been better to live them in the wild so their numbers can increase. And then bring some in captivity.
@@montag301 these were captive bred
Since you’re one of the few people that could keep one- would you ever try a peppermint angel again?
I CAME TO COMMENT THIS EXACT THING
@@gusvega6355 yes but .... after these expensive koi peppermint is pocket change lol none been collected i did get approached to essentially take lot of expedition i dont know if will happen
@@PoloReef I did see one from Quality marine not too long ago. Definitely not an easily acquirable specimen.
live aquaria or quality ? i didnt see that one
@@PoloReef Quality Marine had one not long ago. Not sure if/when it sold. I remember gawking at it while placing an order. I don’t have access to their wholesale list any longer.
Liked the video
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can you appreciate a fish like the Abbei in that size aquarium? Being so rare I’d want to see up close personally.
@@insanity4224 now there is a pair that openly swim right in front of you !
@ that’s really cool, I was worried you’d never see it. Glad they like each other!
How about something for the common man, like getting a stubborn copperband to eat 🤣
@@shirtdirt1874 😂
Genicanthus Takeuchii would be awesome, never been collected for aquariums though AFAIK

Great video. Why were the masked angels in qt for a couple of years?
@@umersaleem9388 yes just in back in 1000 gallon holding tank

Cow fish
@@rulizedeklerk3708 🤪 they are cool
Why would you keep a fish that you can’t replicate the conditions? Just because you can keep it doesn’t mean you should? It would be good to see channels promote farmed fish and corals given the state of illegal harvesting
@@AW-yv9sq no issues at all keeping them have another one in there now 2 doing great
