This thing is freaking awesome! Just built mine and I'm totally in love with it. Tons of posability with each lion and Voltron itself looks too epic. The original Voltron design is so much better looking than the Netflix design. I highly recommend picking this one up if you haven't already.
Just ordered mine today and was prompted to check it out here. Devout voltron lion fan since a child here. Looks so much better and more flush than the die cast toynami 20th anniversary set i had.
Really wanted a Voltron since I was a kid. But all the masterpiece and Soul of Chogokin versions are crazy expensive, even for the adult me now. No matter how much I like a toy, I aint gonna dish out hundreds of bucks to get it. This minipla version really is a great alternative to make up for lost regrets, and it is very pocket friendly. I have to say, this is my absolute most favorite toy ever. So much so I bought 3 sets, one for collection, 1 to display as Voltron and another to display as the lions. Whats cool is that, it comes with all the accessories for each lion and the Voltron bot. Even the masterpiece, 30 Anniversary versions dont have the full accessories. The Voltron is super posable, even the masterpiece versions have issues with standing straight or frequent joint faults. This one should you get anything broken, u can just buy another. The best is you don't need to buy the whole set, just buy that individual lion you need replacing. After you have everything assembled, you have that additional feeling of accomplishment, more so when you form Voltron.
@@ngnaw Thx for letting me know I only watched the Japanese version and always know it as space cutter Anyways, my point being it is anything but "blazing shield"
I have this one myself. Overall fucking awesome! The only downsides are switching pieces when forming Golion and bigger lion heads, which I don't use. But hey, it's better than paying $300-$500 for a Golion set.
I had only recently discovered this existed... I go to Comic-Con every year for business and rarely buy anything but necessities. FFS if I knew what I knew now, I would have ran and bought one. I hope to all gods that these stay in production until I get playmoney.
I have a question 4u DX, When Voltron is all Put together and in full Go Lion Mode Does He Have Any weight to him!? I mean how Hevy does he feel? Care to comment? I was Going to buy this But after seeing him n your hands he looks much smaller than I was expecting! Let me know what you think about his weight thanks
I’ve never put together a model like this. What tools will I need? Just nippers. Or tweezers recommended for sticker application? Also heard I don’t need glue. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for the review! Got mine for Christmas.
Anyone disenchanted by the deal with the limbs; the legs on each lion no longer fold subtly into the body like on the original? Maybe it’s better this way? I want to hear your options on the matter?
Just got mine in the mail, looking forward to building it. While watching your review I thought how good it would be to have a flight stand to get the most out of that articulation. Is there an official stand or are there any stands that you recommend, thanks great review.
you can use any of the bandai tamashii nations ACT stands. it plugs into the port on black lion's butt. that's only in combined mode, though. I don't think the other individual lions have ports
Great vid and incisive information. My problem is that about 10:07 and other parts of the vid, you can really see where you left some serious nubs on the model. Thats rookie level building there.
Anyone wouldn't happen to know some one who can make a 3d file of the joint in the green lion that holds the middle of the lion body, mine snapped while installing it and now the green lion only has the back end while the front with the head is no longer connected...just got my 3d printer and still trying to learn how to use the software, thought it would be good investment in making replacement parts that always break easy.
This is the best Voltron I've ever seen...it's so articulate and cartoon accurate...they need to make a large version of this in metal.
No Shame in Saying Us 80s Kids Had the Absolute Best Toys, Anmation, And Cartoons.
CHRIST IS RISEN! I was born in 2006 and I can agree.

Does the black lion’s head articulate or is stationary like all other Voltrons? I’m hoping it’s got articulation?
Initially I had a difficult time building it, but after the first lion was completed it got alittle easier. Love it!

12:07, that's called the space cutter, not blazing shield.
Actually it's called the Spinning Laser Blade. ruclips.net/video/nLi6-3LoOxY/видео.html

Thx for letting me know

Anyways, my point being it is anything but "blazing shield"
Found one at Barnes and Noble buy accident. Now I'm super hyped to build mine.
I have the SDCC exclusive version. It’s a great kit, looks really good alongside the Flame Toys Optimus Prime kit as well.
Does the head on black lion have any articulation or is stationary like all other Voltrons?

How do U get the head joint to stick out for for the green Lion?
Can you show how the put the pieces together on each lion? Don’t you have to put each lion together like any model kit? Is it hard ?
Just ordered the SDCC Exclusive, cost me an extra $40 but I could care less it's VOLTRON!!!!
was there directions on how to combine the mega blaster cause i thought about making it a weapon for my voltron cosplay
DAIRUGGER: How can you scratch your back if it is itchy?
GOLION: I let the tail do the scratching.
This is great! I wish they would make a Legendary Defender version.

No glue, just nippers to cut from the sprue, and tweezers for the stickers if you feel the need. Have fun!
CollectionDX any particular brand. I hate to pay 60.00 for a pair of nippers.

Buying it right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good review
This is a good alternative to Matty Collector's Blazing Sword Voltron or the Soul of Chukogin Voltron.
Especially the price, 30 or 40 dollars is better than 150 or 200. Although the soul of chogokin looks worth it... I don't NEED it to be diecast metal
This looks like its gonna need alot of panel lining
Is it already assembled not unlike gundam?
Gerald Syta yess , action figure , not model kit
Gerald Syta no it is not assembled
waiting for mine.

Contact Bluefin - I'm sure they can send you a replacement.
I can't get the yellow Lion leg on to save my life 😖
nice
how tall is it?
7-8 inches
These might as well been giant erasers
The only thing that sucks is
The legs look to plastic and
The black lion head is to small..
GOOD VID, I AM YOUR FC.
cool
お話に日本語字幕を付けていただけると嬉しいです。
Nice...
Who else is gonna buy it
