A replacement for legacy ADT is long overdue considering the side effects. ADT seems almost medieval and out of step with modern science and medicine. Seems we have meds and methods to address advanced prostate cancer when ADT fails…but apparently no therapy exists as a better alternative to ADT.
Man, believe me, life is sweet but the hormone treatment I'm receiving for aggressive Prostate cancer has just left me 'existing' in a hell on earth. I'm at a point where I'm gonna have to give it up and face my mortality head on. This is NOT living ! Good Luck out there !

I put up with this “hell on earth” to hopefully have more time with my 3 children their spouses and my 3 grandkids. Small price to pay for a few more years. FYI, I am turning 70 in 3 months

So, if hormone therapy increases your cholesterol, let’s put you on statin medication then you can deal with the side effects from that. Yeah, that’ll be good.
I have been on Hormone Deprivation Therapy for over nine years. My cancer was terminal from the get go. I say this to anyone who will listen, that drug is best thing that ever happened to me. No more nonsense thinking about girls all the time. Freedom from that! The nasty side effects you can neutralize at any gym. Quit whining.
