Beautiful music, wonderful movie. I cried for her. Been in that situation before, who hasn’t? Not to the point of murder but almost from them stringing you along and breaking your heart.
What happened to her was heartbreaking. She wore the bridal dress in the end and that wrung my heart the most, she just wanted to be his wife and he humiliated and mentally tortured her till she broke..
The Book is better then the movie... the soundtrack which I have in both CD form and LP are beautiful.. too bad the movie was not as good as the bookk...
The beauty of Mr Miguel Legrand music is many things , haunting, lingering, memorable and so much more this music score keeps haunting me, 1st heard it in my youth, feel in love with movie The Other side of Midnight when it was a huge success in the 70’s and can fall in love with it all over again today. Markings of a genius , that’s who Michel Legrand was, a true genius in anything he composed. One can get so lost in the sheer beauty of his music 30 years ago and even today , still so current. That is the genius of Michel Legrand.
