SZA is an actual musician. She appreciates the art and puts out work that is well planned and thought out. Her writing, the way she chooses her melodies, bringing something different everytime. She explores but still keeps to her signature 🙏🏽❤️

If Sza album was short, everybody would of complained like we did when Rihanna never released the rest of birthday cake and didn’t make James point longer. This album was long over due so if it had 100 songs I woulda been for it because Sza really never goes wrong. In my opinion, this was album of the year. 10/10 She is telling a story. I saw people complaining about Beyoncé not telling a story with her album. She not singing about her cooch on every song. And she didn’t sample too much either like everybody else. Sza is one of a kind.

SZA really proved how sonically diverse she can be if we didn’t already know. This album is honestly one where I can say that I am able to listen to it in its entirety and not feel the urge to skip. Honestly I wasn’t anticipating this release but I have to say this album beats every album release this year for me. Bravo to SZA we needed some real music. I’m tired of hearing these cheap records come out where everything sounds the same. This is a beautiful work of art and I really hope she’s recognized for this album!
It’s def good. For me, it doesn’t beat Beyonce but it’s def second for me. Both have lasting power and I know I’ll be playing both albums for years to come 👏🏾

The vibe on this album is so raw and it’s just simply her. She didn’t have any samples I don’t believe I absolutely adore that she just put her heart and soul into it and didn’t let outside forces influence her. Of course Beyoncé has released several albums like that I’m not discrediting her. I’m just very proud and happy for SZA. But when done right like in Renaissance or Kanye West during is prime, sampling is still an art form. Those samples were perfectly flipped and mixed on Renaissance. And she did have Nile Rodgers (guitare), Sheila E (percussions) and Raphael Saadiq (drum, bass, clavinette, horns) on Cuff itVirgos Groove (easily thé best vocal performance of the year), Plastic of the Sofa. Alien Superstar, Church Girls or America Has A Problem are some the best examples of how to use samples and interpolations in a perfect way. The Clarck Sisters "Center of the Ill" sample mixed with DJ Jimi's "Where They At ?" interpolation on Church Girls. The "I'm too classy for this world' chorus of Alien Superstar which come from the "I'm too sexy for my shit" song and the Barbara Ann Steer speech before the climax. She didn't interpolated that 80s hit in a corny uncreative like Drake did on Way 2 Sexy. But also TS Madison words sprinkled throughout Cozy or the Ms Honey at the end of Pure/Honey. Heated is another amazing song. Renaissance is a masterpiece
This summer proved that Cardi can not sell when it comes to tickets. The fact that NONE of the summer festivals she was in sold out speaks volumes. Album sells can be manipulated, but when album sells don't match the reality of people actually going to buy tickets to see, you says a lot. Her biggest mistake (like many of them) was thinking she was going to take out nicki minaj. Hate her or love her, nicki truly is the GOAT of female rap next to Lil Kim (yea I said it and im a Barbz, give Kim her dues too).

I think SZA may release one more album and she’s done and unless there’s a demand for a third. I think she’ll write for more artists like Rihanna, Beyoncé, maybe Ariana Grande. Maybe newcomers like Summer Walker, Chloë and Halle. I think she’ll do some features with other pop artists, rap artists, maybe do drop some solo singles. I think she wants to keep it low and that’s ok with me. I also think Cardi’s feeling more pressure because with the exception of WAP and Up, her latest singles haven’t necessarily been flops, but they haven’t met expectations. She’s also a mom now, and I think she’s just putting an album cause of the label and just to put it out. I think she’s kinda scared too because Nicki’s back. She hasn't dropped a debut album in 4 years not one .......EP stands for 'Extended Play,' meaning that an EP is longer than a single but shorter than an album. They typically feature between 2-5 songs and are under 30 minutes in length. Forget about getting a team because she's not interested in rapping!!!!!

If Sza album was short, everybody would of complained like we did when Rihanna never released the rest of birthday cake and didn’t make James point longer. This album was long over due so if it had 100 songs I woulda been for it because Sza really never goes wrong. In my opinion, this was album of the year. 10/10 She is telling a story. I saw people complaining about Beyoncé not telling a story with her album. She not singing about her cooch on every song. And she didn’t sample too much either like everybody else. Every time Nicki reveals a new song/project she is all up on twitter liking shady tweets or creating some controversy to buzz up her name, it's the same tactic she used for invasion of privacy back in 2018 while Nicki was in her hate train era during Queen. She can't use that tactic no more because in these 5 years Nicki has been able to overcome her hate train, become extremely mainstream again and received most of the accolades she didn't have and separated her from cardi. SZA really proved how sonically diverse she can be if we didn’t already know. This album is honestly one where I can say that I am able to listen to it in its entirety and not feel the urge to skip. Honestly I wasn’t anticipating this release but I have to say this album beats every album release this year for me. Bravo to SZA we needed some real music. I’m tired of hearing these cheap records come out where everything sounds the same. This is a beautiful work of art and I really hope she’s recognized for this album!

Alien Superstar, Church Girls or America Has A Problem are some the best examples of how to use samples and interpolations in a perfect way. The Clarck Sisters "Center of the Ill" sample mixed with DJ Jimi's "Where They At ?" interpolation on Church Girls. The "I'm too classy for this world' chorus of Alien Superstar which come from the "I'm too sexy for my shit" song and the Barbara Ann Steer speech before the climax. She didn't interpolated that 80s hit in a corny uncreative like Drake did on Way 2 Sexy. But also TS Madison words sprinkled throughout Cozy or the Ms Honey at the end of Pure/Honey. Everyone knew the Bronx girl from love & hip hop and her other videos because she entertained her fans. Once she got introduced into the music industry, she had to compete with tons of artists and now she’s at a point where she realized that in order to stay relevant, you must keep putting music out. She’s feeling the pressure of releasing music when, let’s be honest, Cardi never really wanted to he in the music industry. The fact that she views it as a “job” rather than a career or a passion, says a lot about her- and there’s nothing wrong with that! My point is, if cardi B doesn’t want to do music anymore, her true fans should back her up on her decision and not force her onto performing and releasing music.

I think SZA may release one more album and she’s done and unless there’s a demand for a third. I think she’ll write for more artists like Rihanna, Beyoncé, maybe Ariana Grande. Maybe newcomers like Summer Walker, Chloë and Halle. I think she’ll do some features with other pop artists, rap artists, maybe do drop some solo singles. I think she wants to keep it low and that’s ok with me.
