“Impatience builds altars” (golden calf) “It’s HIS LIVING WORD SPOKEN TO US that will keep us free from idolatry” Just read Psalm 33 this morning in the NLT and it is all about trusting he knows what is best for us and trusting his tender love to work out good on our behalf. I’m really seeing how codependency is full of manipulation and impatience to get our needs met. We rely on our own ideas to make people respond in certain ways towards us so we don’t have to put our fears at risk. We even become completely deaf and blind to the boundaries of others because we are so zeroed in on getting our needs met. We disregard people. Trusting God is saying here is my gigantic fear. I believe your tender love is going to be acting on my behalf in every open and closed door that comes. Lord free us from our fears and teach us how to rely on your love.
