Jordon Fairearth I don't know exactly but they are thicker than the stock ones I had on the car and the ride is stiffer. Found out that back sat lower because the mounting perches on the back of the 2000-2007 Taurus sit an inch higher than the 1995-1999 models so when I used the springs for that model on this one the back end sat an inch lower. So far the spring lifts worked fine and the car still sits level so I will leave it as is.
Ok great, I was only asking because I have 4 new struts and would like to lower my Taurus but I'm on a college student budget and wondered if I could find some cheap similar sized lowering springs from a different car. Like some 99-04 ford mustang lowering springs maybe.
Jordon Fairearth Unfortunately there are no longer companies that make lowering springs that fit the 1996-2007 Taurus except Kings Springs in Australia. Eibach discontinued the Pro Kit springs for our cars. You can order him here on this link or hopefully find someone that can cut springs but you are more likely going to fuck up the ride quality of your car. I would wait and save up the money for these in my opinion. It is well worth it. www.shosource.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=691
They was 1.5" lowering springs from a suspension company in Australia called King Springs. They fit the 1996-2007 Ford Taurus and 1996-2005 Mercury Sable but they are discontinued.
Did it reduce tension to the spring. I will put this on to my jeep. I bought a tire my front wheel rubbed the fender. I will try if this things works. I hope this will help my problem
