I can’t tell you how relieved I am that even you, Jess, have had a couple of cheating dreams. I got so worried when I would have one but you’re so right. It always happens when our quality time is lacking. I also just struggle with severe anxiety. That was a weight just lifted from my shoulders.

This might sound weird but my husband and I apply kind of a “habit stacking” approach to help find time for intimacy😂 To speak in terms of the book, you need to create more “cues” in your life to bring out the “craving” for it in both of you at the same time. My husband and I decided we would take our nightly shower together instead of separate, so we are already in the intimate frame of mind. It’s not every night but definitely helps it to happen naturally a lot more often. Because a “cue” does not have to be time specific, it can feel almost like it is happening spontaneously even though you intentionally placed the cue into your life.
I wish I could say being intestinal just happens but once you live together things change so much and no one talks about it. Thanks for actually talking about this!

Another vote for an official podcast here! Your voices are so calming and the advice is always spot on and quite entertaining. The ONLY thing I have to say is regarding the intentionality with intimacy…it only gets harder with kids so for the woman who asked the question…if you have kids, I feel you 100%. I’m told often that it gets better as they get older! I keep that in my mind all the time and try to enjoy the intimacy whenever we have the chance to!
I think the advice "don't go to bed when ur mad at each other" can be more about not drawing out fights for too long... some people get upset and they literally won't talk to each other for days or weeks, so this could be telling couples to talk things out "before you go to bed" or in a short amount of time and not be the kind who avoid communication or hold grudges...
The verse about going to bed angry refers to allowing your angry to turn into bitterness. Sometimes, it is healthy and necessary to sleep on an argument because, as you stated, most of the time the argument resolves itself.
