His inactivity is definitely driving him crazy. He doesn't like how great Prochazka and Pereyra are looking. He had his chance when Jones left a vacuum in the title picture, but it quickly disappeared as new talent flooded in.
It's not the inactivity, it's his ego. He is upset that the fans don't give him respect that he thinks he deserves. Also he didn't like how the fans kept pointing out that he was looking out of shape which was near the beginning of where it started. It's causing him to become resentful of the fans and UFC. At this point he's just in a manic state where he hasn't taken time to step back and take a breath. He needs to realize why people don't give him the same praise as other champs due to how he got the title and how he never defended it.
Has nothing to do with how great those guys are doing. The man is going through a serious injury, any athlete would be bummed out.

What do you expect from someone who fights for a living? So many of them are super sensitive and emotionally stunted while also being incredibly dangerous and macho. They can be likable and fun one second and then in the next moment be incredibly short and angry about absolutely nothing.
