- Joe Rogan delivers a potent warning to Jamahal Hill about his upcoming fight against Alex Pereira, emphasizing the potential risks associated with Hill's rapid return to the ring following his Achilles surgery just 8 months ago.
He also talks on Islam Makhachev, Alex Volkanovski, Khamzat Chimaev and Jiri Prochazka

Not too much pie tho or it’s just gonna go to that weird gut 😂
@@percywearspurpleha!
Yes Jamal pieced up Glover, but what no one say is that Glover is 44 yrs old.....age plays a very significant role in such a sport.
Yea prime glover whoops hill
And he had an absolute WAR with Jiri. Glover still was able to land a few hard shots and take him down. Alex’s striking + Glover’s grappling is a dangerous dangerous combo. Alex is only getting better too which is crazy to think about.
Glover is a smaller unathletic fighter, he doesn't stand up too well to modern day legit 6'4 tuned in athletes that can fight well, Glover even in his prime doesn't stand a chance against guys like Jon Jones, Rumble Johnson, Jiri Pochezka and of course Jamahal Hill.
Pareira on the other hands crushes all these unless for example a Jon Jones can nullify him by pinning him to the ground.
@@1010thechampglovers very athletic just not in the traditional sense glovers a bulky dude but he’s a serious ninja with jits but yeah he was well past his prime just going for it
Yes! And I’m surprised at Joe, or maybe he’s just showing his bias because he always talks about the low performance of old fighters.

Jamal Hill speed is no where near the speed of izzy😂 alex has fought much faster fighters like what????
@DinkusDoofhow doesnt he? Hes the onyl guy whos defeated and knocked out pereira, obviously hes in the discussion and comparison😂?
@@user-jf2sq7kh5p that dudes delusional that's why jamal got knocked out with 1 punch 😂💀
@DinkusDoof yeah, the other guy said it. Obviously Izzy is the comparison because Izzy is the one who actually knocked him out (once out of 3).
I like Pereira.
@DinkusDoof100% he does if u want to talk about Pereira. Everyone would agree Hill is nowhere near as fast and technical as Izzy, and Izzy is the only guy in the UFC that has successfully outstruck pereira in standup. Even then, Alex has beaten Izzy 3 out of 4 times . So if you think Hill had a chance against Pereira on his feet then you need to put down the crackpipe.
@DinkusDoof you're slow in the head kid
I can wholeheartedly say NO MAN is the same after getting KO'ed by Pereira. Amazonian Assassin
Hey, it worked for Strickland lol
Do not want to be the 'actually' guy, but as an amazonian brazilian, Pereira is descendant from the Pataxó tribe from the southeastern coast of Brazil, very far from the amazon. As far from the amazon as lisbon is from moscow, or New York city to Austin. So, yes, native american blood, but not amazonian. In fact, amazonian indigenous peoples tend to be quite short.
It’s scary when a guy can implement their game plan so well. Alex wasn’t out there to beat hill on points, Alex was hardly throwing very patient, like he knew he was going to knock him out. It was just a question of when, never a doubt
The only 2 ways to beat Pereira:
1. A world champion level kickboxer like Adesanya
2. A world class grappler that is VERY GOOD at standup defense.
I think only Jon Jones can stop him.
@@Obi-WanKannabisbest not forget that adesanya is still 1-3 Alex. Dudes gotta climb a bit more
@@youtubeenjoyer1350 I didnt say adesanya will stop him 100% of the time, I'd give it to Pereira if they had a rematch, especially at light heavyweight. But its just an example.
@@Obi-WanKannabis Adesanya is not a world champion kickboxer
@@PoatanCombatSportGOAT He isnt, but he is near that level, as he proved by going toe to toe with Pereira.
Pereira had fighted against Hill with broked finger. Nobody have talked about it.
I love the fact, anywhere Matt Serra goes, he can always say he made GSP tap to strikes. Wild.
He’s taking the piss out of himself. It worked for Carl Froch 🤣
The 💩 eating look on serra's face as he pointed to the belt on his waist lives rent free in my head even now🤣🤣🤣 anyone has a shot but that REALLY wasnt supposed to be his night.
@DinkusDoofbruh we would all brag about knocking out GSP, lucky or not.
Then proceeded to get fkd up the next fight. Lol what?
I have never understood why people ignore Pereira’s entire kickboxing career lol he was considered one of the best P4P kickboxers of his generation
Short fights notice sometimes can be positive too, Masvidal did a lot better against Usman in short fight notice but got knocked out with a full camp
The short notice fight went to decision but it was basically a clinch fest. He was never winning that fight. He was competitive in the second.

I only worry because Jamal Hill tore his Achilles and that is a hard injury to come back from no matter what professional sport you’re in. Alex’s kicks are vicious
Yep this would be a 50/50 fight if not from the Achilles
people keep saying Hill is so confident, but I see something else, he's said several times "at my best I beat Alex every time" which makes me feel like he's setting up excuses because there's no way you can be at your best first fight back coming off surgery
@@XBlack-oc6xt underrated take

Well Jiri was the champ and relinquished. Jahmal won and relinquished. Jiri came back and fought Alex. Alex won. Alex is the true champ.
How i see it aswell, i love how they keep adding to the narrative " and jamal never lost the belt" well yeah but he didnt defend it either
Now if jamal relinquished after a few defenses id be like, ok thats very valid.
I just enjoy the fact that it seems like there are a lot of honorable martial artists at 205. They are willing to step aside when injured rather than holding up the division.
Yea 100%, but hill did technically win the belt with his fight against glover, so this is definitely the best matchup. The new confirmed champ vs the old champ in hill
Jiri was losing against Glover though, until the last minute, while Hill beat Glover 50-44.
Jon jones never lost the belt
LISTEN IF J.H. tore his Achilles and he has not at least taken a year off. The chance of this re-occurring is in the high percentile range. How do I know this? Because I tore mine. And it took a looooooooooooooooooooong time to get my leg back to where it was. Dana probably offered him a LOT of money that he could not refuse. But if he wins and then re-tears, he will have to surrender the belt...............................again!

It's crazy kobes career was pretty much ended by an Achilles, now 10 years later a guy tears his Achilles and we expect them back within the year.
Shows how good Izzy is by knocking out Alex and each of their bouts being close.
It’s like Goku and Vegeta
It does honestly make all the people using the 3-0 to discredit Izzy look pretty dumb. The decision between them was very close (in kickboxing), and Pereira has walked through multiple top-tier fighters now, at a weight-class above Izzy that is much clearly closer to his natural weight.
Yup. It shows the different levels of skills these 2 both have compared to the rest. Izzy haters are just Izzy haters they’ll find any reason to discredit him.

People overastimated hill. FOR SOME STRANGE REASON
Every fighter with ring rust always gets over-estimated by fans. They forget the fighter has been away for some time.
I wouldn't say hill was overestimated strangely at all. He is the more well rounded MMA fighter. Alex is just really really good with his standup.
He’s just sharing his view, it’s always easy to be wise after the fact
Gotta love the moronic irony of "you could watch expensively produced shows for free if it wasn't for greed"
Need to talk more about ufc 300’s main card as I am still wondering why Jiri is excluded from the main card when Bo nickel, Justin, Charles and etc. are included. I think most of here knows Jiri and he is a light heavy weight champion at one time and got only one loss
I can see a bunch of scenarios going both ways…’ haha, okay Joe
Jamal only knocked out one guy, that had a glass chin, with one punch
I’m no Hill fan, but I looked at his record and he has a shit ton of TKOs. Alex still wins.
People talk about his power but most of his KOs are not impressive, he’s more of volume TKO kind of guy. Nowhere near the power of Alex.
That’s because all the other fights were TKOs lol.
We can tell you only watch highlights and read their records lol
@@hawkinside_outworld Yes but I meant his TKOs are not "scary", he has hands but his power is not impressive. At least, not when compared to Poatan's.
Yeah only took 400 strikes on 43 year old Glover, oh wait that went to a decision. People were saying Jamahal has as much if not more power than Alex for weeks, what a joke!
There's never been a room more full of wrong people ever LOL
Ask Joe about Francis vs Joshua.
Damn Joe might have altered the betting odds talking about Hills injury, a lot of people put stock in his opinion
What you think gonna happen on the hill v Alex? Alex is a beast
hill this hill that hill slept lmaoook
Itis from that humble pie
If Hills get Alex hurt, he for sure gonna knockout alex for keeping his hands low
And Alex will surely clean hills head off his shoulder for being wild and sloppy
Same thing for Alex cause Hill also keeps his hands low
Very interested to see if he can do that while checking leg kicks or keeping his hands up high enough to block a roundhouse kick to the Head or being able to Parry a body kick. I think the kicks come into play too much and with a Achilles heel, not 100%. Give me Jamal + 5.5
That's like 304 saying she is a wife now
its a interesting fight for sure. both guys can finish the other with one punch. the real question is, does jamal punish alex for kicking. if he does not he will be done for quick just look back at alex vs jiri. alot of people say jiri got sloppy and ignore the fact that he could not stand on one of his legs.
Predictions in combat sports are so ridiculous makes me laugh everytime i see 1
Poatan is gonna eat him up with those kicks but if Hill times it, oh man
Oh yeah ask all those studs that Hill has fought…. No, you can’t ask Alex because Jamahal never touched him!
Lol. I'm convinced looking back after that fight, most commentators out there were trying to build that fight up because they all knew what would happen
Don't forget, Joe said Ronda could beat Floyd lol
"Get outta there. You dont wanna be in there with him man. This is a dangerous position OHHHHH" seconds before joe rogans bjj guy gets KO'd
A lot of opinions, a lot of thoughts, analysis, conjecturings... only one word: Chama.
Joe saying Hill being a strong challenge for Pereira isnt crazy... Sure he won the fight fast and made it look easy but it was a quick fight and at anytime Hill can catch anyone & win the fight so Joe saying that isnt wrong its just how the fight game goes sometimes

Hill is going to give Pereira problems, but you best believe Glover is making sure Alex isn’t overlooking Or thinking he’s going to roll over Jamal. It will be a banger.
i thinks its all about the kicks, if hill does what jiri did and sleeps on the kicks he will be finished but if he learned form that fight and counters.............

this is funny to watch after the fight
This will not be an easy fight for Alex at all and Hill has KO power but he has terrible footwork and if Alex can land a few leg kicks he’s going to take over
I think he either surprises everyone or gets humiliated. I’d say he will get a reality check when his sloppy style meets a kickboxer of that caliber in Poatan.

Hindsight is 20/20. That said…I believe Alex is on a way higher level than us fans can understand…I say this because even professional fighters, such as Jamahal, come in the fight with the pretense that Alex does do weird shit…but it’s the type of shit that gets you knocked out. Like standing straight up and never circling, keeping your hands down and chin up…and uncovemtianal defenses we’ve never seen like checking the calf kick. I can 100% see Jamahal watching video over and over and pausing it, saying, “this is IT!! This is where I knock out Alex pereira”, then, when the fight happens, Alex throws that bait at ya, you go for that punch thinking “this is it!!! He showed me his chin!” Only to whiff by 1/4” and something that felt like a brick, just smashed the right side of your head!!!! I theorize, that Alex has so much experience fist fighting the very best strikers on earth…that he’s so far beyond our knowledge that none of us even understand what’s taking place in front of our eyes. Like these guys said “never has Jamahal ever even been stunned” nevermind dropped or knocked out. And all of it was true..for exactly how many professional fights though? Now compare that number to Alex’s number of professional fights…and place your bet on THAT knowledge alone. I could almost envision this entire fight before it ever happened. Except in my dream jamahal at least cracked Alex a couple times and made him deal with some aversity. Instead…it turned out to look like the easiest fight Alex ever had in his life, never mind his time in the ufc. And as an American… I always cheer for the under dog because it just makes for a great storyline, even though the odds are forever stacked against that bet. It’s why the house always wins. They make the odds on calculated stats…not the “hopes” that the under dog has his day!!! Dude ended up getting Khaby Lame’d and eating every word of false confidence shoved back down his own throat! There’s a reason that the man who fought him four times and finally won won’t ever fight him again (Izzy) because he know chances are Alex will win the next 3out of 4 times and he isn’t willing to bet against those odds even in himself!!! And another stat to never ignore…in 8 ufc fights…Alex has beaten 5 champions/ex champions, 5 of those wins by ko/tko, only 1 by decision (Bruno Silva who was on a run due to his iron chin, that after being touched by Alex has never been the same) and 1 loss to Izzy out of 4 fights. This dude is clearly special, and clearly on another level, to the point we haven’t ever seen til now, and we’re all still trying to figure him out or see his technique. That punch that did to Jamahal what no ther punch ever did to him, wasn’t even close to the hardest Alex throws. It was a shovel jab/uppercut/hook with no wind up, no arch to gain momentum. It was basically a stiff jab…and put homie DOWN!!! Slow motion shows Jamahal checking out the big screen in the middle of a fight. I bet he was imagining Joe saying “take a look at your work on the big screen” then realized he was actually hitting the mat from a punch. I bet he was mumbling “Pepperidge Farm remembers while trying to stand back up!!! And the only next step for Alex is to learn enough English to market himself better. DC is trying!
Hill had absolutely no game plan for a man with insane knock out power. Alex just didn't look concerned at all.
