5:00 so annoying when people point out that Pereira is taller than Isreal. The majority of the fighters that fought Izzy were 4 to 6 inch smaller and no one ever brought that issue.
They also called izzy a weight bully his whole time at middleweight. Then Alex comes in, a guy who literally has to cut 50+ pounds to make weight and nobody brings up the weight bully thing again.

Poaton waited until after his “Prime” to come to the UFC and win 2 belts faster than anyone in history (11 fights) beating nothing but Champions or former champions. Everybody weighs the same at weigh ins so don’t hate a guy for having better preparation to win the fight 🤔 These guys are simply 2 of the closest matched fighters alive due to styles, build, accomplishments, the whole history etc.

I’m not an Izzy fan, I mean don’t get me wrong the dude is really really good but I have to admit I had him counted out of their last fight… I honestly thought that he had just resigned to his fate and was ready to just lay down and take another loss and I just couldn’t believe my eyes when he won, especially with a huge KO…I have to admit that for me, It was one of the most exciting moments in UFC history and I have to admit I was very happy for him.

People would then send the pictures to Izzy letting him know what Alex posted so tha is why Izzy finally defended himself and made that bar comment. Alex would even post pictures of his son mocking Izzy. Izzy never followed Alex, he didn't even know Alex was a double Glory champ until they 1st UFC fight was set. I can't stand lies.

Bruh, Adesanya almost knocked him out in the first round, created a lot of distance, and then got caught in the 5th. Poatan was amazing, but it is not like Izzy looked like he wasn’t close. And then Izzy won.
The problem is that Poatan is just bigger than Izzy. Poatan wasn’t at his natural weight class and unless Izzy plans to change his body for his last run, I don’t see how the rematch happens.
He got robbed in his first fight against Poatan and knocked out in the second. But even if we just accept he lost his kickboxing matches, which is absolutely fair. He split in the sport you are debating about. And sent Poatan out of the division.
I love Poatan, he is one of my favorite fighters active. But there is a lot of ‘glazing’, as the kids say, going on. I see the same thing happening with Topuria because he beat Volk. Put some respect on City’s name gotdammit!

Strickland possibly seemed like the easiest matchup but it was actually Vettori who Pereira would’ve destroyed
I disliked Izzy and am a big fan of Alex, so I was so happy when he got that last moment finish. But being unbiased, their two kickboxing matches, one where it was a split(I think) and the other Alex did get saved by that odd standing count. Even in the first mma fight, Izzy was winning and rocked Alex hard. To me, despite being 3 and 0 against him, they were pretty even in my eyes, and it made even more sense when Izzy oblerated him. It felt like Izzy had the last laugh, but Alex having success of his own seems even to me.
Imagine Pereira's and Oliviera's popularity if they know English!! Even if you love or hate fighters like Khabib,Khamzat and Islam they are still marketing genius they know wt exactly needs to become a superstar.

Alex won 2 belts in glory and 2 in the UFC, something Izzy never managed to do. Not only that, he defeated Jason wilnins (glory) a guy who had defeated him twice and who also beat Izzy. So he avenged his loss while defending his title , move up in weight class beating Vahikitov to gain the other belt. THEN he moved to the UFC, defeated Izzi AGAIN, and later became double champion. During his run he also defeated Sean strickland and Błachowic, 2 guys who defeated izzi.

He's trying to return a favor dumbass. He knows he was fast tracked to a title shot, he's trying to fast track Izzy to potential double champ status.
Because as it is right now, Izzy won't even get a title shot when he decides to come back, let alone a shot at double champ.
He rates Izzys skillset and explained in an interview that for Izzy to take so much time off would be a waste of talent and so he called him out to try and motivate him to get back in the octagon. At this stage Izzy had stated he was gonna take a break for 4 years.
