Fun fact: i'm sure you may have been told by now, but Stolas ia an actual demon prince from the demonology book and mythology of the Ars Goetia, He is a great prince of hell who teaches astronomy, teachings of plants, herbs and precious stones.
If you look closely underneath the female agent during Stolas's summoning sequence, there is the summoning sigil for stolas straight from the Ars Goetia, down to the minorest detail.
I've not been told, but I'm aware. Usually shows using this area of mythology either pull directly or at least pull names from the Ars Goetia. I've even done another series on this channel that has. Very cool though, without a doubt.

From a narrative standpoint, having the "real" symbology is a nice touch, along with the necessity of having such elements for a demon of Stolas' level manifest in the real world, but the utterly terrifying detail was that without manifesting, Stolas was able to:
1. Possess one human agent
2. Reanimate the corpses of several
3. Use them as tools to scribe the sigil he needed to physically pass through the veil.
...that is insane in terms of power.

I think it triggered something because both had something in each that showed it wasnt just the way they see each other. Like when in moxxie's he told him he would end up alone the eye changed to blitzo's. And when in blitzo's vision moxxie asked the deepest cutting question he could ask. But also I've noticed noone has fully reacted to how the golden feathers wrap around blitzo as all the voices but moxxie's tells him he is gonna die alone and how I suppose demonic or primal it made him cry out.
@@kanevivi I actually think that the conversation was actually happening outside the hallucination, they were just each experiencing it in a twisted way because of it.
If you pay attention, both of their hallucinatory conversations follow the same themes and questions. Moxxie pointing out how Blitzo pushes everyone away and how he seems to do it especially to everyone who cares about him, and concluding this will end with Blitzo dying alone if he keeps it up; Blitzo pointing out that Moxxie makes himself an easy target and needs, really needs, to step up and be more confident in himself because he's doing much better than he thinks he is. I think Moxxie's version was actually a lot closer to the real conversation being had, because Moxxie is a lot more emotionnaly stable and his subconscious wouldn't warp it as far as a result.
The conversation was real, we just don't know what wàs actually said because they were hallucinating so hard their subconscious minds twisted their perception of it.
Amazing how after bad trip Blitzo turned into good boss, friend, dad and lover at the same time. He was tossing compliments left and right at everyone. He was helping each member of IMP during fight. He had chance to just say thanks to Stolas and that's all but he actually offered night together AND went with flirting and making out with Stolas right away, without wasting any second. I suspect it's not full transformation of Blitzo but he will be more aware of his problems and finally start to face them. His first step was giving a piece of his good side to all people he cares about.
I think something will happen to stolas and blitz will SNAP

@@ozyisgoated Being overprotective dad isn't really best way to be good dad. He was keeping Luna from being friends with Tex just because he was bodyguard of his ex and that was hella petty of him and overprotective. He was showing that his personal problems with Verosika are above chance to let Loona be more social.
So just to leave any doubt behind: yes. Stolas is more powerful than Alastor. MUCH more. Alastor is "just" an overlord of hell. A human who became demon. Stolas is a prince of hell. One of the OG fallen angels who fought against the armies of God.
Also the allucinations of Moxxie and Blitzo are inspired by Phantom of the Opera and Pink Floiyd The Wall, in case you haven't noticed.
Well at very least from a technical standpoint Stolas is "Harder" to kill. But I think in a fight 1x1 Al would still have the advantage from a perspective of ruthlessness and such. (Also given the arranged marriage stuff, he's probably just descended from the original fallen angel.)

Ugly Horney cats is definitely how Blitzo would describe the Cats musical. I love how Blitzo was apparently willing to go see the show because Moxxie recommended it and felt guilty about ditching half way instead of making fun of Moxxie for his music tastes.
Verosika being one of the people who calls him out for pushing people away when they start to get close is a good choice because she’s got a tattoo that looks like a heart with his name crossed out on her shoulder. In Moxxie’s hallucination Blitzo mentioned how eventual goes and it makes me wonder when that started for him before he started driving people away on his own.
Stolas was being all mysterious about how he knew about Blitzo being in trouble but I’m convinced Blitzo just posted that head selfie on instagram and Stolas just happened to notice and decided to check up on him.

You're the first guy whose reactions I watch (for now ...) who isn't disgusted or looks away when Stolas and Blitzo kiss. It's nice.
If it was a normal kiss then It’d be fine but they kinda went over the top with the French kissing.
I mean, the point of the joke was that it was the type of shit that should be kept behind closed doors since it was more than just a kiss. Of course, that's the joke as they are quite literally in Hell. I found it humorous more than anything else, but it makes sense why it grossed people out.
I don't have anything against gay people as I support them for me its a bit weird and lil cringe for me(again its not them its me but have no problem with them)but I will say this at least this gay romance isn't forced or shoved down a throats like majority of shows actually one of the few romance I actually don't cringe but actually hope for the best

It felt good finally seeing a reactor follow this closely to Hazbin and Helluva. It just makes me happy seeing someone actually know what they’re talking about and the previous episodes rather than “who he?” When it would be a character from the last episode. I’m just saying it’s good to see someone who knows the Spindlehorse’s work.
I love how Stolas summoned himself trough the dead and the agent! SO EPIC
This is one of those shows that gets better with every episode, and every rewatch!!
This episode is so fantastic. I already love moxxie, and getting more focus for him just makes it so enjoyable to watch. While Moxxies hallucination was straightforward, I feel like Blitzos was way more intresting. With his intimacy complexes as well as his fear of Moxxie, someone below him, being able to see right through his facade.

I think the way Stolas knew they were in trouble was because he was spying on Blitzo, on top of how he referred to him as a play thing when talking to the demon hunters, and that’s not even mentioning him in Blitzos fever dream where he was chained and had feathers surrounding, binding and gagging him until he screamed.
I’m interested in where their relationship is going to go.
Blitzo also put the photo of him with the head on insta, so Stolas might’ve thought maybe I should spy on him and make sure everything is ok.
@@islasullivan3463 you think that the photo of Blitzo holding the head an enemy who was dead and incapable of harming him, whilst also having a huge smile on his face, would make Stolas worried? In episode 1 Stolas was watching Blitzo through the bubbles in his bath somehow, so we already know he’s watching him, and that time in the episode Blitzo was currently on the run from humans, had a bullet in his arm and was visibly scared, and Stolas didn’t show up.
@@KangarooMonkey If you check the message it says that work went off the rails and as I said maybe he saw that and decided to spy on him through his bubbles or something to make sure that it was still going well bc he doesn't wear a human disguise.
Well I'm not sure but maybe when blitzo was going crazy in the trip that is what made him come out? Every voice but moxxie's was telling him he was going to die alone and then the feathers started to wrap around him. Maybe for a split second it wasnt a trip but a legit vision like stolas is known for. Which then showed things were not going so peachy. Then all the carnage was enough for stolas to open a gate from the human side so he could rescue them. He may have even broken a law or two to do that.

Why does it matter if Stolas broke rules to go to the human realm? *IMP* were there but also his book, the thing that he needs to do his job, the powerful Hell artefact that proves the existence of Hell which has been shown to be a big no no in the show.

What? Stolas is a demon of plants and planets, not blood and death, carnage, violence and death would have not been shown to have affect on his abilities, this is pure speculation based on absolutely no evidence other than the fact that he’s a demons.
And anyway, this is completely irrelevant, the way he got to the human world doesn’t matter, what matters is why he went there.
Here's something I found out that's interesting! The voice actor who voices the female agent is
the same voice actor who voiced Sapphire from Steven Universe.

When I realized it was stolas it was a mix of "oh good it's stolas- WAIT THIS IS STOLAS?! HES TERRIFING! ohhh god actual deeemonnn"

Plot Daddy Stolas causing Plot to happen around him when he appears as usual.
Stolas is much more powerful than Alastor. In fact Charlie is even more powerful than Alastor. Alastor’s power is just renowned because of how quickly he rose to power and that he’s an earth born sinner who became an overlord very quickly.
According to Vaggie he TOPPLED Overlords that had reigned for centuries, and a mortal soul had NEVER harnessed that kind of power before he showed up.
So presumably he's more powerful than some of Stolas' peers, but Stolas is where the scales start to tip against him. Alastor is VERY fucking powerful, and if I recall correctly Viv did have to think about the answer when someone asked who was stronger. I think if they had a fight, it would be an EPIC battle that eventually Stolas would win, rather than just Stolas swatting Alastor aside. I don't think he could do that. Alastor is ridiculous, and while he doesn't have the same ability to effect the human world (which Stolas has a special authority over because of his job) Alastor has shown he has phenomenal reality shaping powers within hell.
@@haku8135 Alastor toppled some overlords but not all. The Three Vs still exist and he's confirmed enemies with Vox, for example. I think he's powerful but there's a line between hellborns/royalty and mortal souls. Stolas might be at a disadvantage because as show in this episode, he's more of a pacifist, but I do agree that he'd eventually win. I don't think it would be an incredibly long battle but Alastor would likely put up a fight until Stolas actually started fighting back. I believe Viv said Al won't fight a battle he knows he can't win (either that or he won't chase down someone he wants to kill I don't remember). I think there could a _couple_ of Stolas' peers that Al would beat but I'm not confident that Al's power surpasses a royal. He's a level above other mortal souls but that level above isn't on the same level as a royal.

Power without skill is never going to work on an extremely skilled opponent with a decent amount of strength.
Unless of course your power is so ridiculous that you become immune to attacks under a certain level of power.
@@haku8135 yes overlords, as in other earth born sinners who rose to power. He’s renowned because of how quickly he rose to power in such a short amount of time. But whether he’s more powerful than hell born demons in particular the Morningstar and Seven Deadly Princes remains to be seen.
Since we got such a wonderful display of Stolas's powers, imagine how magnificent those of other Ring rulers and King Lucifer's will be. Princess Charlie's too.
Yeah we all know that Charlie would annihilate Stolas or Alastor but we have yet to see what her true limits are(and we still know practically nothing about Vox, Valentino[I guess we know a bit about Valentino] and Velvet

Yeah, this is something the Creator herself has confirmed. Makes it all the more cringe whenever I read a fanfiction about a human born sinner that's somehow more powerful than any demon in hell.
Also notice that when they fade the security cameras out they fade out from weakest to strongest. Luna is pretty strong still but Millie is still agile, we see how effective the tag team Blitzo and Moxxie are and then I'm sure I don't need to explain stolas

Yeah, probably would have been a bit sooner if I wasn't on a trip prior to this. All the videos over the four or five days were pre-recorded in advance prior to this one.
This next to Hazbin Hotel is definitely one of there best pieces of work and even in some circumstances I’d say this episode was even better than Hazbin Hotel
I'd say Helluva has easily been classed as better than Hazbin for a while now. What with tighter writing, better humour and the character progression. Of course Hazbin may surprise us once we get to see more of it. From what we have at the moment though, Helluva tops it easily imo.

But, Hazbin Hotel is only a pilot right now.
Things can change in the show proper compared to a pilot. Designs, characters, etc. can all change. I'm going to wait and see what the show Hazbin Hotel is like before I make any snap judgements.
While I liked the pilot for Helluva Boss, I didn't like it as much as the show, so I'm thinking it'll be the same sort of thing with Hazbin Hotel.
It's ridiculous for anyone to compare a show with six episodes and a pilot to a show with a pilot. I personally liked the HH pilot more than the HB pilot, but obviously Helluva Boss actually has been a show and has well surpassed its pilot, duh. There's no point in even comparing them at all until HH S1 ends, presuming that we get HH S1 before HB S2.

I really think the humor and writing from Helluva Boss is largely because of Brandon Rogers's contribution. Hazbin Hotel was good but I don't think I laughed even once during the pilot. When they do continue Hazbin Hotel, I really hope they bring him in again.
I how to admit stolas I was truly frightened when starts was emerging and that was truly horrific truly a demon and I got to say his full demon mode is quite scary

Blitzos trip was actually surprisingly heavy shit was not expecting it
Moxxie's was him confronting his shortcomings and acknowledging them, making a decision to be a better person.
Blitzo on the other hand is being forced to confront his fears and he responds pretty poorly. He wants to run away from them and this gas won't let him do that, and afterwards I think he makes a very important decision. He's afraid that everyone he loves will eventually ditch him, so when he gets too close to someone, he pushes them away (Verosika calls him out for that exact thing) so he doesn't feel the pain of them leaving him, he has the power. However, that doesn't work perfectly, cause that means he's alone.
He decides to cherish his current family more, and he wants to start working on KEEPING them close rather than keeping them at any distance and trying to actually stop them from going away. I'm sure he'll still be Blitzo, but we're probably going to see this episode's development in future for certain.
@@haku8135 there are many three parts that I'm curious also on. In moxxie's when he brought it up it broken the illusion of him being the phantom and was blitzo reacting, then it goes into blitzo's where a moment of the opera comes over asking him the hardest question. Are you afraid one day we will tire of it and leave to. And then after that all but moxxie's voice is telling him he will die alone as he is being encased in golden feathers. To which he is screaming like its driving him mad or triggering something in him. Was that a warning or a vision there at the end?
@@kanevivi All the things that happen in Mox's hallucination is only known to and concerning his own mind.
So that was a realization that Moxxie came to on his own, he's going through what he knows of Blitzo and what he does, and he's starting to understand Blitzo more. After this he comes to terms with Blitzo and decides he wants to be a better friend to him and basically help him get over this problem he has. That's why when they come to the first thing he does is let Blitzo know how much his compliment when they first started working together meant to him. Moxxie knows how afraid Blitzo is of ending up alone, so he wants to let him know he isn't going anywhere.
Blitzo on the other hand I believe came to the conclusion that since he's locked into his current position (If he pushes Stolas away like he did Verosika for instance, not only does he make a POWERFUL enemy, he loses IMP because he'll lose that book. So he LIKES Stolas, but he's also trapped in a sense. Hence why Stolas was in a heavenly setting, but also put chains around him. Stolas is good for Blitzo, but he also represents what to Blitzo is an inevitable tragedy.) he should try harder to keep hold of his family, and MAYBE he won't lose them this time. He still might, maybe he thinks he still will, but he's decided to take the chance now.
There's a LOT to those hallucinations and their actions afterwards.
Rather than mocking Moxxie when he opened up and made himself vulnerable, he reinforced their bond by explaining how much he values him. Then during the fight he wants to make sure everyone else is good to go before he really starts wrecking shit. He also openly expresses his affection to Loona just let her know how proud of her he is. Which while Loona is Loona, we also know she does love Blitzo as a father even if she's not very expressive of it.
He even for the first time openly displays affection for Stolas. I'm VERY excited to see how he develops in the next few episodes, I'm expecting Blitzo to still be Blitzo, but there will be tangible changes that show his new direction I'm sure.
Stolas didn't kill them cause he used a summoning circle to be brought to the human realm. The circle prevents him and other demons from attacking the humans.
If you pay attention you will notice that the moxie and Blitzo music scenes were actually 2 halves of the same conversation but seen through both of their respective hallucinations.
Definitely implore any fan of this series to go check out the characters’ irl Instagram profiles. Stolas’ one has a update regarding what he and Blitzo said they’d do at the end of this episode.

Well looks like Moxie likes to take it up with his wife also the trippy dream sequence for both moxie & Blitz is quite fascinating as a Disney ask sequence and trippy acid scene

Millie doesn’t use guns often. Just noticed. Yeah she has a pistol every now and then but she definitely prefers melee weapons.
Millie prefers Melee. Moxx prefers Guns. Blitzo will use both, and Loona is best in hand to hand.

Here’s a theory, Shark: I’ll bet these agents were tipped off by the Cherubs (now fallen angels).
Thats incredibly unlikely though. The beginning shows the agents had sightings of I.M.P. since before episode 1 way before Cherubs met them.
Yeah, seems like a theory that just sounds cool, but sequentially it seems rather flimsy.
@@varvariiin One of the "cameras" was from the point of view of the Cherub that was fighting against M&M (the scene were they kiss & shoot everyone in the theater).
Same thing with the "woods" scenes from episode 1 [is unreasonable to think there would be any cameras there].
-> Whatever method the Cherubs normally use to observe the humans they have to protect, they managed to record visuals of events from the past in standard tv format.

I am reasonably sure Stolas is LEAGUES above Alastor in power. As much as people like Alastor, he's a mortal soul, with a lot of power, but a mortal soul nonetheless. Stolas is a prince of hell, and, if it's accurate, in the hazboss universe, a friend told me, he's 4th from the top in hell's hierarchy. Satan, then Charlie, then the seven deadly sins, then Stolas.
In the ars goetia: Stolas (also known as Stolos, Stoppas and Solas) is "a Great Prince of Hell, commands twenty-six legions of demons. He teaches astronomy and is knowledgeable about herbs, plants, and precious stones. He is often depicted as a raven or a crowned owl with long legs." (To cite the a wiki page giving a brief description. )

Isnt there laws to how they can enter? That's why I figured he possessed her and puppeting the corpses to open a way into the place. After the whatever was dropped he could maybe easily open a way back? Idk it's one of many things I've been curious on. Mainly because it seems there are laws about coming to our world.
I think Blitzo would be a great parent to Octavia, and Loona would be a great sister.

In the fight scenes in this episode i played "ballroom blitz" over it (starting at 20 seconds in) and it fit WONDERFUALLY!

During this episode, I noticed that Blitzo's forehead tattoo design is changing during certain moments. Here are some timestamps:
5:37 and seen later on at 6:15 A heart shaped skull with two triangles where horns would be.
16:36 A broken heart.
17:38 For a split second we can see the same broken heart pattern in Moxxy's trip.
18:37 The pattern goes from broken heart to the heart shaped skull.
19:17 Back to the broken heart pattern.
20:44 And back to the heart shaped skull pattern again.
This episode included a literal acid trip. Man Stolas can be scary.

Every episode of this has been better than the last for the most part. This one just blew the doors off. An epic musical sequence. A fight scene that is as good or better than any I've ever seen done, and then there's Stolas. That scene was terrifying. He basically summoned himself, showed what I assume is his true form, nd then turned his back and walked away having killed nobody. He didn't have to. There are long running animation studios that could only wish they could pull something like this off. The crazy thing is we still have to episodes to go in the first season.

something that not many people (including myself) didn't realize, is that y'know how Stolus was telling them that he gets in trouble if they get in trouble on the human world? but then in the last shot, you see him looking directly into the camera. At first it seems like nothing but when you think about- he knows, he knows they were being recorded but he is choosing not to do anything. Theory goin' around a bit that Stolus is planning something big, dunno tho, just wanted to put it to your attention, as always best reaction channel I know, stay awesome Shark! (p.s. from what I heard it's confirmed that Stolus is stronger than Alastor btw)

Man the wait was worth it for this episode and it's longest to I cannot wait for the penultimate episode which I hope will come probably by October and maybe the finale before the end of the year.

The song in Blitz’s trip sounds like it’s meant to be based on Led Zeppelin’s “Dazed and Confused,” which was a revolutionary song in rock music, but also many claimed it sounded “demonic.”

Isn't it funny how hazbin hotel released only the pilot and we still keep talking about it like it's a big show? I mean I love hazbin hotel but I wish they posted more episodes...
It is a big show, they’re working on it.
That one will actually be on tv, and I'm pretty sure it has more money and effort going into it. Furthermore, it was the first of the two and is Vivzie's passion project.
Yeah, the reason we haven't seen any HH yet is because it's the big show. This is the secondary project, which tells you just how crazy what Viv and co. are doing.
Probably the finest scene in the series is the IMP team going John Wick on the DHORKS...
Man, demons are OP. A few imps were able to take out all those guards, and then a demon Prince shows up by summoning himself through possession. Granted they're using guns against people using melee weapons and they're assassins, but they're still outnumbered and not really getting touched.

This was the episode that I think blasted all heart/fight scenes/plot points out of the water. The symbolism was incredible as well as the “family” building set up for the season finale. By far the best until further developments arise.

Just for some context in powers. I can't wait for Charlie to lose her shit over something but I imagine, as the cool and collected gay disaster that she is, it'll be something super fucking serious. Then all of a sudden everyone will remember "Oh yeah... *Princess* of Hell.. Well fuck"
Also this episode was fucking beautiful. The music, the dialogue, the animation.. Ugh. Vizi and Team did not have to go that hard but they did for us.

My personal wish for the end of the series is that we actually get to take a look at the one and only: Lucifer.
Maybe one of the things they are waiting for to release hazbin hotel is that helluva boss is finished and to show lucifer at the end of the season would just create crazy hype for hazbin. I know vivzi said the main character probably wont cross over but lucifer is just way to important for both stories to not have him. I think its kinda crazy that the only mention we had was in episode 2 with LuLu-World. I think what happened in this episode cant be resolved without at least mentioning Lucifer again
I've found Helluva Boss far more interesting than Hazbin from the beginning and this just furthers that
