    Most high ticketed cakes are being sold online. Regular homemade breads can be done in bakeries and sold to grocery shops.

    Like how much capital should you have to start up and atlst maintain the business

    • @bakingwithamari
      @bakingwithamari  6 лет назад +2

      Hi there; there's no perfect amount for everyone since a lot of factors have to be considered e.g. which niche are you getting into? How large of a shop do you want? what will your daily production be?(or sales goals)? The capital could vary from Kshs. 300,000 and above. Or possibly even less. So my advice would be to sit down, write a business plan for your shop, including the financial budget then you'll now how much starting capital you'll need and working capital as well

    Hi Amari. Happy New Year..I have a few questions for you. Can I do commercial baking from home in Kenya? Where can I get a food handlers certificate?
    Thanks

    • @bakingwithamari
      @bakingwithamari  6 лет назад +1

      Hi there; in Kenya, legally it's not allowed directly from your home (if in direct access to sleeping areas i.e. Bedroom); so it works best when you can build a 'room' or 'kitchen' in your compound or have a small room that doesn't have direct access to the house to run a legal business at home. But honestly; you can start baking from your home kitchen for the first months ( even up to a year) in order to build brand and client base; then do so as you plan how to move to a shop or at least work to building a kitchen room outside of your home if you have the space. For a Food handlers Certificate; if in Nairobi; please visit City Hall and you will be directed on what to do or Lady North Hospital - they also issue food handlers certificates
